2. RESEARCH AND PLANNING
• We have used blogger to upload all of our work to. This is a blog program that allows you
to upload links through scribd and slideshare. This allowed us to neatly upload our work in
an organised way. I used slideshare to embed other softwares such as prezi.
• I have used prezi, emaze and powerpoint to organise the research. We did research into
existing products of documentaries, magazine listings and radio adverts. We also did
research into the tv channel, radio station and magazines to put the article into. These
softwares allowed us to organise the research.
• Prezi was a very useful software as it presents the information in a clear way and looks
aesthetically pleasing to watch. It is colourful and makes the research nice and clear.

3. DOCUMENTARY
• We used adobe premier to create the documentary. This is a software that can
be used to make a film. The footage is easy to upload and edit. You can cut,
shorten and make the footage slower or faster by dragging the clip. The sound
quality is also easy to fix as you can make it louder or quieter depending on
whether the quality is too loud or quiet. This can I easier done with tool bars.
• At first premier was hard to use as we’d never used it before. However the more
we worked on it the easier it got to use. It was a useful program for the task of
making a documentary as we could easily add text over the top of clips and edit
the size of the clip in the frame. The end product looks professional and has
clear image and sound.

4. MAGAZINE
• For the magazine we used adobe indesign. This was a professional
software that allowed us to add columns so it looks a real article. The
columns allowed us to organise the text so it looks like a professional
article that we researched it other magazines. Other magazines often
have 6 columns so we chose to have 6. The main image was easy to
import from my own area. We did this by going on file, place.
• It was easy to change the colour of the text and boxes that surround the
text. We could also use the tool that allows you to click on an image and
use that colour. We did this by using the colour of twitter logo.

5. RADIO
• To create the radio advert we used garage band. This is a software where you can easily
import voice recordings and edit them. We added music we can created on garage band
by mixing to sound bytes together. This created a sound track which we used throughout
the radio advert as it fit the topic perfectly and sounded professional over the voxpop and
interview clips.
• This was a very useful software to use as we could easily edit the voice recordings we did
on the voice recorder. The sound quality was very easy to edit to make the quality perfect
over the background music.
