Question THREE
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT FROM AUDIENCE
            FEEDBACK?
I put together a survey asking the target audience
what music they liked.
OUTCOME OF SURVEY!!

• The survey showed that out of 50 people asked, 23 of them preferred ‘LOVE
SONGS‘ 17 of the 23 were females and only 6 were males. I wondered why there
was such a difference between male and female when it comes to the ‘love’ song
genre and gender seemed to be a big factor in the results. The surveys presented me
with the idea that commercial love songs heighten expectations of males from
females, also it carries on the ‘fairytale’ life most girls have dreamed of living through
the entirety of their lives. Plus studies show that women think about ‘love’ and ‘hurt’
on average a lot more than men therefore songs about- love, breaking up and new
love women find relatable. The male gender preferred fast and funky music such as
the house and club genre. This was evidently down to factor that men feel that
feeling emotion is a weakness therefore stereotypically wanting to live that fast,
furious, carefree and fun lifestyle that are so widely showcased on the major music
  channels such a ‘MTV’ ‘VIVA’.
THE POWER OF FACEBOOK!
• When asked what my audience thought of my media products the females asked said that they enjoyed the story
told and how i have presented ‘change’ and how things are easily taken away and changed. Also, I used my
initiative to get quick access to feed-back and upload my work on to social networking sites such as ‘Facebook’
and ‘twitter’ this gave me almost instant feed-back directly from my target audience. I was interested in
constructive criticism and to see what people of all ages, cultures and gender thought of my products.

This is the results of my feed-back via Facebook.
Being able to quickly upload any work I want to these social networks shows how much new media is evolving.
THE FOCUS GROUP!
• To receive even more audience feed-back I gathered a small group of people and showed them each one of my promo tasks, I asked the following questions:

    • ‘What are your initial thoughts of what it is about’
    • ‘Is it a believable promotional video and would it make you want to download this track?’
    • ‘Do you think the art work goes well with the video and style of the product’
    • ‘Do you have any constructive criticism. ex. what should be changed/replaced’
Rebecca and Emily

I love the story line, it’s strong and I can clearly tell what genre it is
it’s so unique and different, not like any other music video i’ve seen

I love the images! If I went to the beach and saw a love heart in the sand, i’d definitely think of this album
i can’t think of anything bad, I love it, it definitely makes me want to watch the whole video.
Samantha and Tom

I love the use of art work and symbolism of the waves and nature,
the reverse effect is unique and i can definitely tell it’s a love song.

I like the fact it’s not girly, it’s effective and has a strong narrative,
I can clearly tell what genre it is and the art work is so clear and reciprocated throughout each task.
Abbie and Mark

I love how professional each media product is, I can tell they all
belong together by the colours and the semiotics of the beach and
                                           nature.

The reverse effect reminded me of Jason Derulo’s what if video. But you have made it into your own,
the genre is clear to me
