All respondents watched the music video in full and viewed the
                       ancillary tasks.
When looking at target audiences in my genre I found that males were the
primary audience watching music videos on YouTube and so they would be
the more experienced audience to ask in terms of convention so I targeted a
larger male audience for my questionnaire than females. Out of the 30
respondents I asked 17 male and 13 female.
The majority of people I aimed to ask were people from my target audience
which is why the majority were from 15-24 I also wanted to see how the
music video and print would be received from a larger audience so I asked a
few outside of my target audience.
While in the other questions I aimed my questionnaire specifically at my
target audience for the rest of the questions it was obviously random and so
these questions are for mass audience feedback. Out of the 30 respondents
27 were interested in the genre.
Out of the 30 asked 28 said that they liked the video.
Out of the 30 asked 21 said they would download the track while 9 said they
wouldn’t.
Out of the 30 asked 20 said they would be interested in the band and 10 said
the would not.
Out of the 30 asked 25 said they would recommend the music video to a
friend.
Out of the 30 asked 28 agreed that the music track was appropriate for the
genre and video style.
Answers are from all response areas and so were repeated
therefore the answers below may have been averaged
between a number of respondents
   “(City Lightz) have got a new older look”
   “The band look comfortable and fit with the setting of the video”
   “The slow motion makes the narrative look dream like”
   “The acting to camera and angles are really good you believe she loves whoever
    shes looking at you can see the lust”
   “The rustic setting makes a change from all the clean studio music videos we seen
    on the music channels-its unique”
   “The band’s performance is really realistic like they are performing at a gig”
   “The colour balance makes the actress look like she’s glowing –very dreamy”
   “I love the ending…still cant figure it out”
   “The switch between the edits makes it not boring you keep watching because
    there is never not movement whether its changing from edits of the shot itself is
    moving”
   “The natural lighting is really pretty it’s a good setting fits with the band”
   “The editing on the beams is really unique”
   The different location swap made the video more interesting
   Your constantly wondering who the girl is and its never answered completely you
    have to decide what its all about
   The band and the way its made looks really professional
   “I liked the track and the video but the boys look younger than
    they sound”
   “The drummer wasn’t animated enough he doesn’t seem”
   “The band could have had microphones it would have made it
    more realistic”
   “Some of the shots are a bit dark and aren’t lit completely”
   “Some of the band members didn’t seem passionate about the
    music”

Positive
   There is a clear relationship between the products .
   Similar to something you would see on a pub door or in a CD case
   Well constructed not too busy
   The images are bold and the change to grey scale makes it more
    appropriate for distribution in pubs and clubs.
   The band photos are really natural and un-posed they appear relaxed
   The layout is simple and tells you all you need to know
   Images from the video location made it easy to connect the promotional
    gig to the video.
Negative
   Could have a few more links to band websites
   More images from outside the video shoot
   Different fonts its all looks the same
Looking at the data I have collected it appears the
majority of feedback was positive but it has also
shown other elements of the portfolio I which I
could have expanded and improved on.
Audiences liked the narrative, location, band
image, video style and the editing technique
others said that the bands performance was not
animated enough and the lighting sometimes failed
to light the set completely. While there were
elements in which audiences felt I could have
changed I feel as an overall product the three
products together were well established and can
be identified as products based on conventions of
the music industry.

Positive  There is a clear relationship between the products .  Similar to something you would see on a pub door or in a CD case  Well constructed not too busy  The images are bold and the change to grey scale makes it more appropriate for distribution in pubs and clubs.  The band photos are really natural and un-posed they appear relaxed  The layout is simple and tells you all you need to know  Images from the video location made it easy to connect the promotional gig to the video.   • 19. Looking at the data I have collected it appears the majority of feedback was positive but it has also shown other elements of the portfolio I which I could have expanded and improved on. Audiences liked the narrative, location, band image, video style and the editing technique others said that the bands performance was not animated enough and the lighting sometimes failed to light the set completely. While there were elements in which audiences felt I could have changed I feel as an overall product the three products together were well established and can be identified as products based on conventions of the music industry.
