Our film would be an independent film; our film does not
have well known actors and it was made on a small
budget. Main stream films normally use well known
actors and do not challenge stereotypes or conventions.
Our film tries to challenge a lot of different conventions
for example the fact that it is based on a fairy-tale but we
have changed it to make it something scary- this has
also changed the target audience. Our title “It’s
Storytime” is something which people think would be
aimed for younger children but this is also something we
have added a twist too.
Our production would be shown in cinemas
such as Cinema City; Cinema City is a
cinema which shows productions which
may not be as big and often independent
films. Our production is a small production
and therefore would be perfect for a
cinema like this.




                               Cinema city also offers a restaurant where
                               you can have a sit down meal; this is an
                               aspect of the cinema which is not in many
                               cinemas and therefore could indicate
                               Cinema City for a mature and older
                               audience- this could attract our target
                               audience of young adults as there is more
                               to offer.
Our film is aimed at young adults, mainly older
teenagers- students and university students. We felt
that our film would attract and appeal to this audience
as it is taking a relatable and classic story and adding
a modern and interesting twist. We think by adding the
twist to our storyline makes the story more in depth
and therefore more suitable and interesting for this
specific audience.
The way that we aim to promote our film is by
using social networking sites and blog sites;
using the internet and social networking we feel
is a good was to target our audience and
interest them as using the internet is something
which most people of this age range do
regularly. Facebook is a site that we know this
age group tend to use and so by putting
advertisements and clips/trailers of our film on
there it will attract and intrigue our target
audience and hopefully draw them in.
