 For the most part were actually okay when it comes to
abiding by regulations and the law, this is mainly because
our production is quite minimalist and we aren't going to be
doing anything over the top for example blowing up gas
canisters inside an abandoned building.
 The major issue that is a concern is that we are going to be
filming in an abandoned building which is more than likely
going to be owned by the council and so we are going to
need to get permission from them to film there, also it could
be quite dangerous inside/outside the building however
after visiting the filming location a risk assessment should
be covering that.
 We are also going to be using flares which could be a
problem because if we are going to be filming in a
residential area then that could cause some concern from
residents living there. The flares will be covered in the risk
assessment however we are also going to need to get
permission from the land owners as well.
 Considering that we are aiming at a
sophisticated niche audience and that we have
a low budget we are going to need to find
NICHE production and distribution companies
that specialise in small time films, like ours.
 Companies like these look at production with
more of a cinematic view as opposed to a profit
perspective. They aim to get the best out of the
production they make and want it to be as
good as it possibly can be.
 Warp Films
 Vertigo Films
 White Lantern films
 October films
 Goalpost films
 Island-pictures
 Equinox productions
 Nottage productions
 Liquid productions
 Launching films
 Bulldog films
 Inheritance films
 Studio Canal
 Film4
 Kaleidoscope films
 Axiom films
 Icon movies
 Optimum releasing
 We have decided to choose Warp films to
produce our film. Being known as one of the
biggest independent production companies of
modern times, Warp films would guarantee a
good quality production. Also because of the
fan base and the success of previous films
made by Warp films our film would surely
have a following and people would want to go
and watch it.
 We have chosen to go with Vertigo Films, the
reasoning behind this is that it has managed to
have a lot of big breakthroughs with
independent filming before, such as Street
Dance, Bronson and The Football Factory,
which was the biggest independent UK DVD of
all time. Which could create more profit and
revenue for us. They also have close links with
a number of production companies in
Germany, which could also help for global
distribution.
