The clothing that the main character was wearing in the music video is also
shown in the print advertisement/poster. By doing this it would allow the audience
to realise that the products are all joint together. Also a shot which is used in the
music video is the same setting which the print advert was taken. Adding the
same type of area would make the audience realise that the poster is about the
same artist in the music video. The way in which the character is portrayed in the
music video and the print adverts reflect the type of targeted audience the whole
album is about. For example the young man is wearing a ‘hoodie’ and a type of
coat which my target men audience would wear. Because the music video and
the print advert both contain a young man this would mostly attract the audiences
I first aiming at. Also, by including him many of the young man can relate to his
story. Also the setting used show the type of social class we were aiming the
music video at. In the music video you can see many ally ways but also busy
areas this shows the two type of area we were aiming the music video at. This is
connected with the print advert as you can see a dull area but if you see closely
of the same shot used in the music video there are middle class buildings. The
unique selling point for each of the products is the fact you can see through all
the products produced, the genre of the music is signified. The type of clothes
and actions shown in the music show the soul/ indie-pop. The fact that he’s the
only one in the music and on the print advert both reflect the idea of him being
alone in his own little world.
When it came to produce both products such as the music video and print advert
we kept on mind the the visual of all the products has to be the same so that the
targeted audience would be able to quickly recognise that the products are all
joint.
Firstly, in all of the products produced the
way which the artist name was written was all
done with the same type of font. This was
originally done so that the audience would be
able to know who the print adverts are talking
about. Another thing which will combine all
the products together is the fact we’ve used
the same character in all the products, this
will make is easy for the audience to
recogni2e the album covers/ advert about
about the same person in the music video.
