COSTUME AND
PROPS
Georgia Young & Laura Ward
INTRO
Within the music video as a whole, we plan to keep
the actors in the same costume throughout. This
represents the idea that once something devastating
happens in your life, it never disappears and
everyday is the same emotion.
However, we plan to change their costume within the
powder explosion shoots. Because this represents
the characters having an epiphany/life changing
moment.
Costumes;
We wanted our actors to wear clothing which
helped to reflect the genre of the song we have
chosen to use, pop. When researching into the
stereotypes of the genre, we found out that pop
artist often wear the popular/latest trends as they
are often seen as role models to their target
audience. We have decided to keep our costume
very casual as we feel the lyrics and video will be
relatable to the audience and we feel they can
make a connection with the characters if they are
in a similar position to them. From both
knowledge and research we have decided both
actors should wear;
-Black skinny jeans
-Plain T-shirt
-Plain jumper
-Extras (such as a scarf for outside scenes)
-Comfortable shoes

Powder Paint is a type of dry
paint which allows us to
throw into the camera shot to
add a dimension of colour
which we will use to
represent feelings within the
characters minds. Also,
through research we have
noticed that the effect looks
better in slow motion so
therefore we will be able to
showcase our range of
technological skills and
artistic skills throughout the
video.

Shots
When filming the powder paint scenes, we have
decided to make our actors wear a plain white t-
shirt this then means the powder paint will be
visible on the actor. Also if we decided we
needed more powder paint footage, plain t-shirts
are easy to wash/clean. However if the powder
paint was to stain clothing, plain coloured t-shirts
are easily and affordable to pick up.
