WOULD BE USED IN A CRIME TEASER TRAILER.
1. SO PICTURE NUMBER ONE SHOWS THE TITLE OF THE FILM, WHICH IS SHOWN AT THE END OF OUR FILM. THIS IS ONE OF THE TYPICAL
CONVENTIONS THAT ARE USED IN A CRIME TEASER TRAILER. IN THE FILM NAME WE USED THE FONT THAT WE HAVE USED FOR ALL
OF THE OTHER PRODUCTS, AND THIS IS BECAUSE IT LINKS TO THE CRIME/HACKING GENRE. WE HAD TO MAKE SURE THAT IT WAS IN
THE FONT BECAUSE WE NEEDED IT TO LINK TO THE BRAND IDENTITY. THE REASON THAT IT ALSO SHOWS AT THE END OF THE
TEASER TRAILER IS BECAUSE THE NAME OF THE FILM IS THE THING THAT THE AUDIENCE NEEDS TO REMEMBER THE MOST.
2. PICTURE NUMBER TWO IS THE SETTING/LOCATION OF WHERE THE FILM/TEASER TRAILER WAS FILMED. THIS IS ALSO SHOWN IN
PICTURE NUMBER FIVE. THIS IS TYPICAL FOR A TEASER TRAILER BECAUSE THEY ARE TYPICALLY FILMED IN HIGH STREETS OR PLACES
THAT ARE WITHIN A BUSY LOCATION. SO THE EASIEST AND THE BEST PLACE FOR US TO FILM THIS TEASER TRAILER WAS IN REIGATE
HIGH STREET. PICTURE NUMBER FIVE SHOWS THE NAME OF ONE OF THE SHOPS THAT IS ALONG THIS HIGH STREET, THEREFORE THE
AUDIENCE CAN UNDERSTAND THE TYPE OF LOCATION THAT THE FILM AND TEASER TRAILER IS SET IN.
3. THE SECOND, THIRD AND FOURTH PICTURE IS SHOWING THE COSTUMES AND PROPS THAT WE USED IN THE FILM. THE HACKER IS
WEARING A BLACK HOODIE WHICH IS APPARENT IN THE THIRD PICTURE. AND THE VICTIM OF OUR HACKER IS WEARING CASUAL
"EVERYDAY" CLOTHING. THE VICTIM IS WEARING A HOODIE, JACKET, JEANS AND SOME TRAILERS. THIS ALSO REPRESENTS THE TYPE
OF PERSON THAT THE VICTIM IS AND ALSO WHAT KIND OF CLOTHES HE LIEKES TO WEAR ON AN "EVERYDAY" BASIS, THIS IS BECAUSE
HE IS WEARING TWO DIFFERENT COSTUMES WHICH ARE THE SAME TYPE OF STYLE.
4. THE SIXTH AND NINTH PICTUE IS SHOWING HOW BOTH OF THESE CHARACTERS ARE INTRODUCED TO THE AUDIENCE. PICTURE
NUMBER SIX IS SHOWING THE HACKER AND ALSO WHAT COSTUME THAT THEY ARE WEARING. WE MADE THE HACKER WEAR A SDARK
COSTUME BECAUSE WE WANTED THE HACKER TO STAY ANONYMOUS.
5. THE SEVENTH PICTURE SHOWS THE FONT AND STYLE OF THE TITLES THAT WE USED IN THE TEASER TRAILER. THE FONT THAT WE
USED WAS A BOLD FONT SO THAT THE AUDIENCE CAN READ CLEARLY WHAT IT WSAYS AND ALSO SO THAT IT STANDS OUT TO THE
AUDIENCE.
6. THE EIGHTH PICTURE SHOWS THE COMPANY IDENT, THIS WAS ONLY ON SCREEN FOR A FEW SECONDS AND IT WAS SLIGHTLY
ANIMATED. THIS WAS SHOWN AT THE BEGINNING OF THE TEASER TRAILER, AND THIS IS CONVENTIONAL OF A THE GENRE THAT WE

MINUTE 30 SECONDS. OUR FINAL TRAILER LASTLY 1 MINUTE AND 2 SECONDS
WHICH MEANS THAT OUR TRAILER WAS IN WITHIN THE TYPICAL TIME
CONVENTION FOR A CRIME TRAILERS.
EDITING STYLE
IN MOST CRIME TRAILERS THE EDITING USUALLY GETS TYPICALLY FASTER IN PACE
TOWARDS THE END OF THE TEASER, THIS IS SO THAT THE AUDIENCE CAN FEEL
TENSE. SOMETHING ELSE THAT IS USUALLY DONE IN TRAILERS IS THAT THEY
USUALLY LEAVE THE END OF THE TEASER ON A CLIFF HANGER, SO THAT THE
AUDIENCE HAVE A REASON TO GO AND WATCH THE FULL FILM IN THE CINEMA SO
THAT THEY CAN FIND OUT THE "ENDING" OF THE TRAILER.
USE OF SOUND
WITH SOUND, THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF SOUND THAT ARE USED IN TRAILERS AND THIS IS DIEGETIC
AND NON-DIEGETIC. TYPICAL DIEGETIC SOUND THAT IS USED THAT THE CHARACTERS ON SCREEN
CAN HEAR, WHICH IS USUALLY DIALOGUE BETWEEN THE CHARACTERS. WE DIDN’T USE A LOT OF
DIEGETIC SOUND BECAUSE THE STORYLINE IS ABOUT A HACKER AND THE HACKER'S VICTIM, AND IN
OUR STORYLINE THESE TWO CHARACTERS NEVER MEET. THE ONLY USE OF DIEGETIC SOUND THAT WE
HAD IN THE TRAILER WAS THE DIALOGUE THAT THE NEW REPORTER WAS SAYING. WE DID USE
DIEGETIC SOUND IN THE TRAILER, WHICH WAS THE TYPING SOUND EFFECT. THIS EFFECT WAS ADDED
WHEN THERE WAS A TITLE ON SCREEN, AND THIS MADE IT FIT THE GENRE BECAUSE WHEN PEOPLE
USUALLY THINK OF HACKING THEY USUALLY THINK OF A HACKER DOING THEIR "JOB" BY USING A
COMPUTER, AND SOMEONE WHO USES A COMPUTER DOES HAVE TO TYPE, THEREFORE MEANING THAT
THE HACKING SOUND EFFECT WAS THE ONE THAT WE WANTED TO USE IN ORDER TO FIT THE
HACKING/CRIME GENRE. ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF THE DIEGETIC SOUND THAT WE USED IN THE TRAILER
WAS THE BACKGROUND MUSIC. WITH MUSIC IN ANY TRAILER THE BACKGROUND MUSIC GETS FASTER
PACED TOWARDS THE END WHICH AGAIN MAKES THE AUDIENCE FEEL TENSE.
TEXT/GRAPHIC ELEMENTS
THE ONLY BITS OF TEXT THAT WE USED THROUGHOUT THE TRAILER WAS THE
TITLES THAT WE HAD. MOST OF THE TITLES WERE STATISTICS ABOUT HACKING
WHICH MEANT THAT IT MADE THE TEXT LINK TO THE GENRE. THE TEXT THAT WE
USED AS WELL WAS A BOLD FONT FOR THIS, THIS IS BECAUSE IN MOST OF THE
OTHER CRIME GENRE TRAILERS, WHEN THEY HAD THE TITLES, THE FONT WAS
MOSTLY A BOLD FONT THAT STOOD OUT TO THE AUDIENCE AND WAS CLEAR FOR
THEM TO READ.
NARRATIVE INFORMATION GIVEN TO THE
AUDIENCE
SO, THIS IS THE SYNOPSIS OF THE WHOLE TRAILER: FIRST THE AUDIENCE WILL SEE A NEWS REPORT OF A REPORTER TALKING ABOUT
STATISTICS ABOUT THE LEVEL OF HACKING AND HOW IT IS BECOMING MORE OF A POPULAR THING. IT IS ALSO MENTIONED THAT
THERE IS HACKER CURRENTLY HACKING PEOPLE'S BANK ACCOUNTS AND TAKING OUT MONEY FROM THEM SO THAT THE PEOPLE
ARE LEFT WITH BARELY ANY MONEY. THE REPORTED WHO MENTIONS ABOUT THE STATISTICS THEN TALKS TO SOMEONE ELSE IN
FRONT OF ANOTHER BACKGROUND (POSSIBLY WESTMINSTER), WHO IS THE HEAD OF A COMPANY WHO HELPS PEOPLE PREVENT
HACKING. AFTER THAT YOU WILL THEN SEE A SCENE THAT MAKES IT CLEAR TO THE AUDIENCE AS TO WHAT KIND OF A FILM GENRE
THAT IT IS. THIS IS BECAUSE THE AUDIENCE WILL SEE SCREEN THAT HAS HACKING CODES IN GREEN WITH A BLACK BACKGROUND
AND THEN SOMEONE TYPING AT THE COMPUTER. BUT THE AUDIENCE WON'T SEE THE CHARACTER'S FACE, THEREFORE LINKING IT
TO THE FILM NAME WHICH IS "FACELESS". IT THEN MOVES TO WHERE YOU CAN SEE ONE PERSON WALKING THROUGH A TOWN
CENTRE WITH SOMEONE (WHO IS PORTRAYED TO BE THE HACKER) IN THE BACKGROUND WHO IS IN A HOOD. THE CHARACTER WHO
IS PORTRAYED TO BE ON OF THE VICTIMS, OF THE HACKER, WALKS NEAR WHERE THE HACKER IS SITTING DOWN. THE AUDIENCE
WILL THEN SEE THE VICTIM WALKING AND NOTICEABLY STOPPING BECAUSE THEY GOT A TEXT MESSAGE ON THEIR PHONE. YOU CAN
THEN SEE THE VICTIM'S PHONE CLEARLY BECAUSE IT THEN SAYS THAT HE HAS INSUFFICIENT FUNDS IN HIS BANK ACCOUNT. YOU
CAN THEN SEE THE VICTIM THEN GOING TO A BANK ACCOUNT TO TRY AND GET MONEY OUT OF THE CASH MACHINE, AND IS THEN
DECLINED TO GET ANY MONEY OUT.
IN BETWEEN ALL OF THE SCENES WHERE THE AUDIENCE CAN SEE THE "FACELESS" HACKER AND THE VULNERABLE VICTIM, THE TITLE
SEQUENCES WILL BE SHOWN. THIS IS THE GENERAL NARRATIVE THAT WE WANT THE AUDIENCE TO UNDERSTAND FROM THE
TRAILER. WE WANT THE AUDIENCE TO UNDERSTAND THAT THERE IS A HACKER AND THE HACKER IS TARGETING MANY PEOPLE, AND
IN THE TRAILER ONE OF THE PEOPLE THAT THE HACKER HAS "ATTACKED" IS IN THE TRAILER. WE WANT THE AUDIENCE TO
THE
MAGAZINE
WITH THE MAGAZINE THERE WERE MANY THINGS THAT FIT THE TYPICAL CONVENTIONS
OF AN EMPIRE MAGAZINE, THIS WAS THE FACT THAT THEY HAD THE MASTHEAD IN BOLD
AND IT WAS BEHIND THE MAIN CHARACTER BUT IT
SHOULD STILL BE EASY TO READ. THE COLOUR OF THE MASTHEAD "EMPIRE", IS USUALLY
IN EITHER RED OR WHITE, THEREFORE WE CHOSE TO HAVE IT IN WHITE AS IT FIT THE
COLOURS THAT WE WANTED TO USE ON THE MAGAZINE. SOMETHING ELSE THAT WE
REALISED THAT WAS ON THE FRONT OF THE MAGAZINE IS THAT THEY HAD MANY COVER
LINES WHICH CONSISTED OF OTHER FILM NAMES THAT CAME UNDER THE SAME GENRE
THAT WAS BEING REPRESENTED ON THE COVER OF THE MAGAZINE. ON THE LEFT OF
WHERE THE MAIN CHARACTER WAS PLACED, WE PUT SOME NAMES OF FILMS THAT WE
THOUGHT WOULD BE GOOD FOR THE AUDIENCE TO WATCH. BECAUSE WE THOUGHT THAT
WE SHOULD ALSO DO A SPECIAL EDITION OF THE MAGAZINE WE THOUGHT THAT WE
SHOULD MAKE THIS CLEAR TO THE AUDIENCE, THEREFORE WE PUT THAT IT WAS A 50-
PAGE SPECIAL EDITION AT THE TOP OF THE MAGAZINE, AGAIN SO IT WAS CLEAR TO THE
AUDIENCE WHAT IS INSIDE OF THE MAGAZINE. WE HAD SEEN A SPECIAL EDITION EMPIRE
MAGAZINE THAT HAD 50 PAGES, IT WAS ALSO A SPECIAL EDITION BECAUSE THE MAIN
CHARACTER THAT FEATURED ON THE FRONT PAGE HAD AN INTERVIEW THAT WAS
• SOMETHING ELSE THAT EMPIRE MAGAZINE DID WAS THAT THEY HAD THE
SHAPES AROUND THE CHARACTER, THAT CONTAINED SOME SORT OF TEXT, WE
USED A PLUS SIGN WHICH IS ABOVE WHERE IT SAYS THAT THERE ARE "FILMS TO
WATCH", AND WE ALSO USED A CIRCLE SHAPE BEHIND THE CHARACTER, THIS
AGAIN PUTS EMPHASIS ON THE MAIN CHARACTER.
• BECAUSE THE MAGAZINE IS A SPECIAL EDITION, WE NEEDED TO MAKE IT CLEAR
AND ALSO HOW IT IS DIFFERENT. WE DID THIS BY PUTTING THE NAME OF OUR
FILM AT THE BOTTOM OF THE MAGAZINE OVER THE MAIN CHARACTER, AND WE
ALSO PUT THE NAMES OF THE PEOPLE THAT STARRED IN THE TRAILER
(WHETHER THEY WERE THE DIRECTORS OR THE ACTORS).
• IN OTHER EMPIRE MAGAZINES, THEY PUT THE BARCODE UNDERNEATH THE
MASTHEAD WHICH IS WHY THE BARCODE IS ON THE RIGHT OF THE MAIN
CHARACTER AND WHERE EMPIRE PUT THE BARCODES IN THEIR MAGAZINES.
THE POSTER
THIS WAS THE FINAL PRODUCT OF OUT POSTER. COMPARING THE POSTER TO
"HACKING POSTER" WE DID USE THE SAME CONVENTIONS, THIS IS BECAUSE THE
CHARACTER IN THE TRAILER FEATURES IN THE POSTER. THE WAY THEY ARE
POSITIONED IS CENTRAL AND THEY ARE USUALLY BEHIND A COMPUTER SCREEN
WITH THE COMPUTER GLARE REFLECTING ON THE CHARACTER'S FACE. WE ALSO
ADDED SOME PARTS THAT WE THOUGHT WOULD MAKE IT CLEAR TO THE
AUDIENCE THAT IT WAS UNDER THE HACKING GENRE. WE DID THIS BY PUTTING A
GLITCH EFFECT OVER THE MAIN CHARACTER, WE ALSO DID THIS WITH THE TEXT
AT THE TOP WHICH IS "FACELESS". WE ALSO REALISED THAT IN SOME OF THE
OTHER POSTERS, THEY HAD THE BILLING BLOCK AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POSTER,
AND IT WASN’T TOO BIG OR TOO SMALL, THEREFORE WE THOUGHT THE SIZE OF
THE BILLING BLOCK WAS FINE. SOMETHING ELSE THAT OTHER COMPANIES DID
WAS PUT SOME SOCIAL MEDIA LOGOS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POSTER TO
INDICATE TO THE AUDIENCE THAT THEY DO HAVE SOCIAL MEDIA SITES SO THE
AUDIENCE CAN KEEP UP TO DATE WITH THE EVENTS THAT MIGHT BE GOING ON IN
RELATION TO THE MOVIE FACELESS.

SO PICTURE NUMBER ONE SHOWS THE TITLE OF THE FILM, WHICH IS SHOWN AT THE END OF OUR FILM. THIS IS ONE OF THE TYPICAL CONVENTIONS THAT ARE USED IN A CRIME TEASER TRAILER. IN THE FILM NAME WE USED THE FONT THAT WE HAVE USED FOR ALL OF THE OTHER PRODUCTS, AND THIS IS BECAUSE IT LINKS TO THE CRIME/HACKING GENRE. WE HAD TO MAKE SURE THAT IT WAS IN THE FONT BECAUSE WE NEEDED IT TO LINK TO THE BRAND IDENTITY. THE REASON THAT IT ALSO SHOWS AT THE END OF THE TEASER TRAILER IS BECAUSE THE NAME OF THE FILM IS THE THING THAT THE AUDIENCE NEEDS TO REMEMBER THE MOST. 2. PICTURE NUMBER TWO IS THE SETTING/LOCATION OF WHERE THE FILM/TEASER TRAILER WAS FILMED. THIS IS ALSO SHOWN IN PICTURE NUMBER FIVE. THIS IS TYPICAL FOR A TEASER TRAILER BECAUSE THEY ARE TYPICALLY FILMED IN HIGH STREETS OR PLACES THAT ARE WITHIN A BUSY LOCATION. SO THE EASIEST AND THE BEST PLACE FOR US TO FILM THIS TEASER TRAILER WAS IN REIGATE HIGH STREET. PICTURE NUMBER FIVE SHOWS THE NAME OF ONE OF THE SHOPS THAT IS ALONG THIS HIGH STREET, THEREFORE THE AUDIENCE CAN UNDERSTAND THE TYPE OF LOCATION THAT THE FILM AND TEASER TRAILER IS SET IN. 3. THE SECOND, THIRD AND FOURTH PICTURE IS SHOWING THE COSTUMES AND PROPS THAT WE USED IN THE FILM. THE HACKER IS WEARING A BLACK HOODIE WHICH IS APPARENT IN THE THIRD PICTURE. AND THE VICTIM OF OUR HACKER IS WEARING CASUAL "EVERYDAY" CLOTHING. THE VICTIM IS WEARING A HOODIE, JACKET, JEANS AND SOME TRAILERS. THIS ALSO REPRESENTS THE TYPE OF PERSON THAT THE VICTIM IS AND ALSO WHAT KIND OF CLOTHES HE LIEKES TO WEAR ON AN "EVERYDAY" BASIS, THIS IS BECAUSE HE IS WEARING TWO DIFFERENT COSTUMES WHICH ARE THE SAME TYPE OF STYLE. 4. THE SIXTH AND NINTH PICTUE IS SHOWING HOW BOTH OF THESE CHARACTERS ARE INTRODUCED TO THE AUDIENCE. PICTURE NUMBER SIX IS SHOWING THE HACKER AND ALSO WHAT COSTUME THAT THEY ARE WEARING. WE MADE THE HACKER WEAR A SDARK COSTUME BECAUSE WE WANTED THE HACKER TO STAY ANONYMOUS. 5. THE SEVENTH PICTURE SHOWS THE FONT AND STYLE OF THE TITLES THAT WE USED IN THE TEASER TRAILER. THE FONT THAT WE USED WAS A BOLD FONT SO THAT THE AUDIENCE CAN READ CLEARLY WHAT IT WSAYS AND ALSO SO THAT IT STANDS OUT TO THE AUDIENCE. 6. THE EIGHTH PICTURE SHOWS THE COMPANY IDENT, THIS WAS ONLY ON SCREEN FOR A FEW SECONDS AND IT WAS SLIGHTLY ANIMATED. THIS WAS SHOWN AT THE BEGINNING OF THE TEASER TRAILER, AND THIS IS CONVENTIONAL OF A THE GENRE THAT WE
  • 5. DURATION WITH ANY TEASER TRAILER THEY TYPICALLY LAST BETWEEN 45 SECONDS AND 1 MINUTE 30 SECONDS. OUR FINAL TRAILER LASTLY 1 MINUTE AND 2 SECONDS WHICH MEANS THAT OUR TRAILER WAS IN WITHIN THE TYPICAL TIME CONVENTION FOR A CRIME TRAILERS.
  • 6. EDITING STYLE IN MOST CRIME TRAILERS THE EDITING USUALLY GETS TYPICALLY FASTER IN PACE TOWARDS THE END OF THE TEASER, THIS IS SO THAT THE AUDIENCE CAN FEEL TENSE. SOMETHING ELSE THAT IS USUALLY DONE IN TRAILERS IS THAT THEY USUALLY LEAVE THE END OF THE TEASER ON A CLIFF HANGER, SO THAT THE AUDIENCE HAVE A REASON TO GO AND WATCH THE FULL FILM IN THE CINEMA SO THAT THEY CAN FIND OUT THE "ENDING" OF THE TRAILER.
  • 7. USE OF SOUND WITH SOUND, THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF SOUND THAT ARE USED IN TRAILERS AND THIS IS DIEGETIC AND NON-DIEGETIC. TYPICAL DIEGETIC SOUND THAT IS USED THAT THE CHARACTERS ON SCREEN CAN HEAR, WHICH IS USUALLY DIALOGUE BETWEEN THE CHARACTERS. WE DIDN’T USE A LOT OF DIEGETIC SOUND BECAUSE THE STORYLINE IS ABOUT A HACKER AND THE HACKER'S VICTIM, AND IN OUR STORYLINE THESE TWO CHARACTERS NEVER MEET. THE ONLY USE OF DIEGETIC SOUND THAT WE HAD IN THE TRAILER WAS THE DIALOGUE THAT THE NEW REPORTER WAS SAYING. WE DID USE DIEGETIC SOUND IN THE TRAILER, WHICH WAS THE TYPING SOUND EFFECT. THIS EFFECT WAS ADDED WHEN THERE WAS A TITLE ON SCREEN, AND THIS MADE IT FIT THE GENRE BECAUSE WHEN PEOPLE USUALLY THINK OF HACKING THEY USUALLY THINK OF A HACKER DOING THEIR "JOB" BY USING A COMPUTER, AND SOMEONE WHO USES A COMPUTER DOES HAVE TO TYPE, THEREFORE MEANING THAT THE HACKING SOUND EFFECT WAS THE ONE THAT WE WANTED TO USE IN ORDER TO FIT THE HACKING/CRIME GENRE. ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF THE DIEGETIC SOUND THAT WE USED IN THE TRAILER WAS THE BACKGROUND MUSIC. WITH MUSIC IN ANY TRAILER THE BACKGROUND MUSIC GETS FASTER PACED TOWARDS THE END WHICH AGAIN MAKES THE AUDIENCE FEEL TENSE.
  • 8. TEXT/GRAPHIC ELEMENTS THE ONLY BITS OF TEXT THAT WE USED THROUGHOUT THE TRAILER WAS THE TITLES THAT WE HAD. MOST OF THE TITLES WERE STATISTICS ABOUT HACKING WHICH MEANT THAT IT MADE THE TEXT LINK TO THE GENRE. THE TEXT THAT WE USED AS WELL WAS A BOLD FONT FOR THIS, THIS IS BECAUSE IN MOST OF THE OTHER CRIME GENRE TRAILERS, WHEN THEY HAD THE TITLES, THE FONT WAS MOSTLY A BOLD FONT THAT STOOD OUT TO THE AUDIENCE AND WAS CLEAR FOR THEM TO READ.

NARRATIVE INFORMATION GIVEN TO THE AUDIENCE SO, THIS IS THE SYNOPSIS OF THE WHOLE TRAILER: FIRST THE AUDIENCE WILL SEE A NEWS REPORT OF A REPORTER TALKING ABOUT STATISTICS ABOUT THE LEVEL OF HACKING AND HOW IT IS BECOMING MORE OF A POPULAR THING. IT IS ALSO MENTIONED THAT THERE IS HACKER CURRENTLY HACKING PEOPLE'S BANK ACCOUNTS AND TAKING OUT MONEY FROM THEM SO THAT THE PEOPLE ARE LEFT WITH BARELY ANY MONEY. THE REPORTED WHO MENTIONS ABOUT THE STATISTICS THEN TALKS TO SOMEONE ELSE IN FRONT OF ANOTHER BACKGROUND (POSSIBLY WESTMINSTER), WHO IS THE HEAD OF A COMPANY WHO HELPS PEOPLE PREVENT HACKING. AFTER THAT YOU WILL THEN SEE A SCENE THAT MAKES IT CLEAR TO THE AUDIENCE AS TO WHAT KIND OF A FILM GENRE THAT IT IS. THIS IS BECAUSE THE AUDIENCE WILL SEE SCREEN THAT HAS HACKING CODES IN GREEN WITH A BLACK BACKGROUND AND THEN SOMEONE TYPING AT THE COMPUTER. BUT THE AUDIENCE WON'T SEE THE CHARACTER'S FACE, THEREFORE LINKING IT TO THE FILM NAME WHICH IS "FACELESS". IT THEN MOVES TO WHERE YOU CAN SEE ONE PERSON WALKING THROUGH A TOWN CENTRE WITH SOMEONE (WHO IS PORTRAYED TO BE THE HACKER) IN THE BACKGROUND WHO IS IN A HOOD. THE CHARACTER WHO IS PORTRAYED TO BE ON OF THE VICTIMS, OF THE HACKER, WALKS NEAR WHERE THE HACKER IS SITTING DOWN. THE AUDIENCE WILL THEN SEE THE VICTIM WALKING AND NOTICEABLY STOPPING BECAUSE THEY GOT A TEXT MESSAGE ON THEIR PHONE. YOU CAN THEN SEE THE VICTIM'S PHONE CLEARLY BECAUSE IT THEN SAYS THAT HE HAS INSUFFICIENT FUNDS IN HIS BANK ACCOUNT. YOU CAN THEN SEE THE VICTIM THEN GOING TO A BANK ACCOUNT TO TRY AND GET MONEY OUT OF THE CASH MACHINE, AND IS THEN DECLINED TO GET ANY MONEY OUT. IN BETWEEN ALL OF THE SCENES WHERE THE AUDIENCE CAN SEE THE "FACELESS" HACKER AND THE VULNERABLE VICTIM, THE TITLE SEQUENCES WILL BE SHOWN. THIS IS THE GENERAL NARRATIVE THAT WE WANT THE AUDIENCE TO UNDERSTAND FROM THE TRAILER. WE WANT THE AUDIENCE TO UNDERSTAND THAT THERE IS A HACKER AND THE HACKER IS TARGETING MANY PEOPLE, AND IN THE TRAILER ONE OF THE PEOPLE THAT THE HACKER HAS "ATTACKED" IS IN THE TRAILER. WE WANT THE AUDIENCE TO

WITH THE MAGAZINE THERE WERE MANY THINGS THAT FIT THE TYPICAL CONVENTIONS OF AN EMPIRE MAGAZINE, THIS WAS THE FACT THAT THEY HAD THE MASTHEAD IN BOLD AND IT WAS BEHIND THE MAIN CHARACTER BUT IT SHOULD STILL BE EASY TO READ. THE COLOUR OF THE MASTHEAD "EMPIRE", IS USUALLY IN EITHER RED OR WHITE, THEREFORE WE CHOSE TO HAVE IT IN WHITE AS IT FIT THE COLOURS THAT WE WANTED TO USE ON THE MAGAZINE. SOMETHING ELSE THAT WE REALISED THAT WAS ON THE FRONT OF THE MAGAZINE IS THAT THEY HAD MANY COVER LINES WHICH CONSISTED OF OTHER FILM NAMES THAT CAME UNDER THE SAME GENRE THAT WAS BEING REPRESENTED ON THE COVER OF THE MAGAZINE. ON THE LEFT OF WHERE THE MAIN CHARACTER WAS PLACED, WE PUT SOME NAMES OF FILMS THAT WE THOUGHT WOULD BE GOOD FOR THE AUDIENCE TO WATCH. BECAUSE WE THOUGHT THAT WE SHOULD ALSO DO A SPECIAL EDITION OF THE MAGAZINE WE THOUGHT THAT WE SHOULD MAKE THIS CLEAR TO THE AUDIENCE, THEREFORE WE PUT THAT IT WAS A 50- PAGE SPECIAL EDITION AT THE TOP OF THE MAGAZINE, AGAIN SO IT WAS CLEAR TO THE AUDIENCE WHAT IS INSIDE OF THE MAGAZINE.   • 13. • SOMETHING ELSE THAT EMPIRE MAGAZINE DID WAS THAT THEY HAD THE SHAPES AROUND THE CHARACTER, THAT CONTAINED SOME SORT OF TEXT, WE USED A PLUS SIGN WHICH IS ABOVE WHERE IT SAYS THAT THERE ARE "FILMS TO WATCH", AND WE ALSO USED A CIRCLE SHAPE BEHIND THE CHARACTER, THIS AGAIN PUTS EMPHASIS ON THE MAIN CHARACTER. • BECAUSE THE MAGAZINE IS A SPECIAL EDITION, WE NEEDED TO MAKE IT CLEAR AND ALSO HOW IT IS DIFFERENT. WE DID THIS BY PUTTING THE NAME OF OUR FILM AT THE BOTTOM OF THE MAGAZINE OVER THE MAIN CHARACTER, AND WE ALSO PUT THE NAMES OF THE PEOPLE THAT STARRED IN THE TRAILER (WHETHER THEY WERE THE DIRECTORS OR THE ACTORS). • IN OTHER EMPIRE MAGAZINES, THEY PUT THE BARCODE UNDERNEATH THE MASTHEAD WHICH IS WHY THE BARCODE IS ON THE RIGHT OF THE MAIN CHARACTER AND WHERE EMPIRE PUT THE BARCODES IN THEIR MAGAZINES.

  • 16. THIS WAS THE FINAL PRODUCT OF OUT POSTER. COMPARING THE POSTER TO "HACKING POSTER" WE DID USE THE SAME CONVENTIONS, THIS IS BECAUSE THE CHARACTER IN THE TRAILER FEATURES IN THE POSTER. THE WAY THEY ARE POSITIONED IS CENTRAL AND THEY ARE USUALLY BEHIND A COMPUTER SCREEN WITH THE COMPUTER GLARE REFLECTING ON THE CHARACTER'S FACE. WE ALSO ADDED SOME PARTS THAT WE THOUGHT WOULD MAKE IT CLEAR TO THE AUDIENCE THAT IT WAS UNDER THE HACKING GENRE. WE DID THIS BY PUTTING A GLITCH EFFECT OVER THE MAIN CHARACTER, WE ALSO DID THIS WITH THE TEXT AT THE TOP WHICH IS "FACELESS". WE ALSO REALISED THAT IN SOME OF THE OTHER POSTERS, THEY HAD THE BILLING BLOCK AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POSTER, AND IT WASN’T TOO BIG OR TOO SMALL, THEREFORE WE THOUGHT THE SIZE OF THE BILLING BLOCK WAS FINE. SOMETHING ELSE THAT OTHER COMPANIES DID WAS PUT SOME SOCIAL MEDIA LOGOS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POSTER TO INDICATE TO THE AUDIENCE THAT THEY DO HAVE SOCIAL MEDIA SITES SO THE AUDIENCE CAN KEEP UP TO DATE WITH THE EVENTS THAT MIGHT BE GOING ON IN RELATION TO THE MOVIE FACELESS.
