My media product uses conventions found in real magazines, such as a main image, variety of text, color scheme, and alternative images. Images were created and edited using Photoshop, and were inspired by well-known magazines to develop ideas about heavy rock music and drugs that may create controversy or challenge what audiences find suitable. The theme of drugs and rock 'n' roll throughout the magazine exposes audiences to real-life drama and challenges norms.

conventions of real media products?
My media product uses many conventional
features of magazine media products. These
features I am aware of due to extensive research
into real magazine covers, contents and double
page spreads. My media products include key
features such as; a main image, a variety of text, a
colour scheme and a range of alternative images.

3. How has your media product developed
conventions of real media products?
I have used image editing software such as
Photoshop in order to create and alter the images in
my media product. My images are hard hitting and
relate to the theme of heavy rock and drugs. My
images may create controversy where they relate to
drug use and abuse. I took inspiration from well
known magazine brands in order to develop my
ideas.

4. How does your media product challenge
forms of real media products?
My topic of Music Magazine challenges
appropriate audiences. Drugs and Rock ‘n’ Roll
is an ongoing theme through my magazine.
This may challenge authority in what is suitable
for audience viewing. The theme of my
magazine is quite hard hitting and exposes the
audience to real life drama.
