2. Cause-effect diagram
A Cause Effect Diagram may be defined as graphical representation of certain problem and its possible
causes. It helps in identifying and analyzing the problem and hence helps in determining the root causes ,
identifying areas of collecting information and hence providing a sorted ,easy-to-understand outlook that
provides ease in finding the solution of the specified problem.

They get late while
waiting for some
friend who is already
late.
They forget to wear the right
uniform and then they have to
go back to change that’s why
they get late.
Mostly attendance is done at the
end of the lecture, so most of the
students go late as they only go for
attendance.
Students wake up
late in the
morning.
They don’t consider the
beginning of the lecture
as important.
Late arriving teachers
themselves set as bad example
for the students.
Their family members and
friends arrive late in social
gatherings ,they become
habitual of lateness and
hence thoughtless about
arriving late.
No strict rules for late

assignments and they do it in the
morning and get late.Some students consider it to be
their pride to go late.

Remedies

7. Students wake up late in the morning.
Students get indulged in many activities at night because of which they go to
bed late and get up late in the morning and ultimately get late for school or
college. The reasons why students wake up late are-
1. They watch movies late at night.
2. Indulged in talking about different topics which are not very important(late night
gossips).
3. Late night chatting with friends on facebook, whatsapp etc.
4. Late night completion of assignments.
Remedy
1. Students must complete their assignments in time, so that they don’t have
to do it a night before the submission day.
2. They should watch movies by keeping in mind the time, so that they are
able to get at least six hrs sleep.
3. Their chit chat must be stopped after a certain time so that they can go to
sleep on time and can wake up early in the morning.

8. Teachers and family setting wrong example of getting late
Teachers who themselves come late in the class and family and friends who
generally arrive late in the social gatherings make the child thoughtless about being
late, hence child become habitual of being late.
Remedy
1.Teachers must try coming in time in the class as students follow teachers.
2.Parents should themselves be punctual and hence teach their children the
importance of punctuality.
3.Students should be taught professnalism in the school/college and at their home.

9. Attending the class just for the sake of Attendance:
Students are not interested in lectures, but have to attend class because of the fear
of short attendance that make them come late in the class.
Remedy
The system should not be so rigid about the attendance. If the student doesn't like
teacher's method of teaching and is confident he can understand the subject and
score well without the need of that teacher. But the student should also work hard in
that subject.

10. LessonedLearned
1. Time should be managed properly so that there is very less chance of
getting late.
2. Attendance should be made compulsory but it should not be like
students attend class only for attendance.
3. Children learn the most from their teachers and family hence they
should be taught lesson of professionalism by them.
4. Lateness of single student disrupts the whole class, hence should be
avoided.
5. Even sleep of at least six hours is important for the smooth running of
the coming day.
