5. 2. Who I am
My name is Hao-Chan Hsieh ( 謝昊展 ) and I grew up in Dali
( 大里 ), a small town in Taichung County. It is a quiet and cute
place to live though it is not very well-developed enough
compared to Big Taichung City. However, we can still live in
our own way without noises, crowds and much air pollution.
There are four people in my family, including my father, my
mother, my younger brother and I. My parents have exerted a
great influence since I was little so they always teach me that
whenever I have made up my mind to achieve my goal, I need
to do my best in order to realize it. Put another word, they have
installed me a concept of not giving up in halfway and persisting
what I pursue at the last minute in spite of encountering any
difficulties. So, I am a person of great perseverance and
determination and always see the bright sides of things in my
life. Therefore, the optimistic disposition is also one of the
crucial factors that lead me on the road of learning.

Teaching Place: 台中市大里區劉靚英文補習班 (Liuging Trinity
Language Institute)
Class Time: Every Saturday from 14:00~15:30
Student Range: Junior High School Student from 7th grade to 9th
grade

Curriculum Design:
Goal: The course aims at helping students pass GEPT (beginning
level) and elevate their learning motivation and improve their
academic performance in school as well.
Class Time: Every Saturday from 14:00 to 15:30 (one and a half hour)
1. 40 minutes: 50 vocabulary words each week
2. 20 minutes: GEPT Sentence Writing Practice
3. 20 minutes: GEPT Paragraph Writing Practice (short composition)
4. The last 10 minutes: vocabulary test
9. 4. My future plan
After graduating from Providence University, I am going
to attend graduate school, majoring in TESOL in order to
be competitive in this modern society and also pave the
road for my further study in phD. Because being a college
professor in university has been my long dream. Therefore,
my ultimate goal is to get PhD degree, especially in the
United States so, just like what I have mentioned before, I
will always try my best in order to step by step realize my
dream. Hence, in order to actually fulfill my dream one
day, attending graduate school to gain relevant academic
knowledge can be seen as my first priority that I will put
my entire efforts to do.
