What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product? AS Media Evaluation Question 6

1. WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT
TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE PROCESS
OF CONSTRUCTING THIS PRODUCT?
 I had to use Photoshop to create my magazine as well as using it to edit
my photos and all of my text. I had never used Photoshop before so by
doing this product it has helped me learn how to use something
completely different.
 For my masthead on my front cover I used DaFont. I screenshotted my
title in the font I wanted to then cut out the white unwanted background
behind the title. I used the magic wand tool then dropped it into my main
product. Photoshop has allowed me to practice removing a background
from an image. This also helped with my main image too.
 For my front cover I also learnt how to select all of the background to
then inverse it to blur it out. This was so I could enhance the models and
make them the main focus.

2. PHOTOSHOP CONTINUED...
 When I was editing my main image I learnt layer masking. This meant I
painted out some of the image which I could not get with the magic
wand tool. This improved my ability to cut out a background.
 When I used Photoshop, I manipulated my main image for my double
page spread as I cut out one of the people as when I took the photo
they were standing further away therefore by cutting them out I could
move them closer making it look more natural.

3. BLOGGER AND CAMERA
 I learnt how to use blogger which I did not know a lot about beforehand.
I had never made a blog before but by constructing this product I have
now learnt how to use that. With using blogger, I can now upload
images as well as creating tabs, pages, embedding presentations etc.
Which I did not know how to do previously.
 I used my camera to take photos of my models. I did not have to learn
to use my camera as I had used it before however I used my camera to
make it more professional. By using my camera, it made the images
look better as they were of a high quality.

4. WHAT I HAVE LEARNT
 Lastly I have learnt how to construct/create a magazine. I have learnt
about the different features, codes and conventions and how to
construct it efficiently.
 I learnt how to use different features on Photoshop as well as learning
how to create a blogger page and upload different posts. Learning this
has increased my knowledge on the use of different technologies.
