2. Complex and yet reliable,
Adobe Photoshop is my choice
of photo editing software.
During my production, I
learned how to successfully
utilise the gradient tool to
allow one layer to appear to
fade into another – a feature I
employed on my contents
page.
3. After my Fraps lost the ability to
record my desktop, I invested time
in using Camstudio to record my
production. During the creation of
my initial front cover design it
recorded successfully, however
when screen capping my contents
page and double page spread the
application crashed when I stopped
recording, causing me to lose the
footage. From my experience with
Camstudio I’ve learnt that the .avi
recording format is more efficient
in terms of file size to that of
Fraps, with the cost of overall
frames per second.
4. Blogger’s versatility in
presenting various forms of
media comes from its ability
to allow content to be
embedded from various other
sites. Using it’s html tab, I
effectively placed mind maps
and comic strips seamlessly
into my work.
5. Sony Vegas allowed me to edit
screen captures with relative
ease and without the long
render times of Adobe Premiere
Pro. One feature of Sony Vegas I
learned during my production
phase was the ability to group
multiple tracks together; this
feature allowed me to
simultaneously edit the volume
of each clip, and change the
speed at which the clips played
back at.
