The document discusses various software programs the author used to create elements of a music magazine, including an SLR camera, Quark, Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Prezi, and Emaze. The author learned how to focus their SLR camera and change settings to take professional shots for the cover. In Quark, they imported images and used shapes to design the magazine contents page. Photoshop was used to add text and adjust lighting for the front cover. Adobe Premiere Pro allowed the author to edit audio and video for a contents page analysis. Finally, Prezi and Emaze were used to create interactive presentations about magazine codes and conventions.
What have you learned about technology from creating this magazine?
1.
2. I have learned how to use an SLR camera by taking the pictures for the
double page spread, contents page and front cover. I have learnt how to
focus the camera in when taking a medium close up shot for the front
cover by changing the settings to make the image as professional as
possible.
I changed it to this
setting in order for
better quality

3. QUARK
Quark was a software that we used when designing the contents page and
the double page spreads, it helped us follow the conventions of a music
magazine by having 3 columns for the featured and regular articles on
the contents page.
When using Quark I learned how to import an image onto the software from
my user by clicking the small image icon on the left hand side of the
screen.
I added coloured shapes into the contents page to make it fit the colour
scheme at to look more eye appealing by clicking the shape icon on the
left hand side of the screen towards the bottom.
4. PHOTOSHOP
when creating the front cover I used the text tool on the left hand side of
the screen to make the cover lines and edited the sizes of the fonts.
when creating the front cover I dimed the lighting of the picture to
create a dark effect.
When saving the front cover as an image to put onto my blog I saved it as a
jpeg which turns it into an image so I was then able to upload that
image onto my blog
5. ADOBE PREMIERE PRO
premiere project pro is a video and audio editing software, I used this to create my voice
analysis of the codes and conventions of a contents page. the program has a timeline at
the bottom which allows you to stretch pictures as long as they need to be to fit what the
voice is talking about, you can also cut off the sound at certain points and start them from
the same spot later on.
You need to act on the feedback I’ve already given you. You need lots of details and
examples from Quark, Photoshop and SLR cameras. But don’t forget blog technologies
too.
This is an image

premiere pro in
use, the time line
is located at the
bottom of the
page.
This is where images
are imported to from
my documents.
6. PREZI AND EMAZE
I created a powerpoint like presentation using prezi and another one using
emaze, I chose a template off the website and imported text from the
codes and conventions of a contents page and added effects such as
the slide changing which zooms into one of the bubbles which the text
was from.
I used emaze to create another presentation but this time it was to answer
one of these evaluation questions, I chose a theme template and added
in the additional information needed.
