Reviewing previous lesson or presenting the new lesson (ELICIT) Ask the students to cite words that best describe each Asian Theater and Festivals.  Chinese Peking Opera  WayangKulit  Kabuki  Noh  Loy Khratong  TaikoDrum (5 minutes) MINUTE TO WIN IT  The teacher will divide the class into five groups.  Let each group share with each other what they learned about the use of props and costumes within three minutes.  The members of each team will write in a meta card words related to the importance of props and costumes and The teacher and learners will recall the importance of sound and music in a theatrical presentation. (5 minutes) Each group will ask to continue choreograph the movements and gestures reflecting the mood of the selected festival/theatrical form of Asia (40 minutes) Summative Test for Arts 8

Establishing a purpose for the lesson (ENGAGE) SHOW BOX The students will pick a piece of paper containing images of props and costumes used in festivals and theatrical forms celebrated in China, Japan, Thailand, and Indonesia. (Ask the students to mime actions using those props and costumes in a play. (5 minutes) With the same group, The teacher will play a short video of different Asian theatre then let the students observe the video with and without sound. What is more interesting to watch, a video with sound or without sound? Why? (5 minutes) DANCING TO THE MUSIC Group the class into five. Let them choreograph a scene using a specific sound or music. (10 minutes) Continuation of practice C. Presenting examples/ instances of the new lesson (EXPLORE) The teacher will show a power point presentation showing different props and costumes used in theatrical presentations and festivals. Ask the students:  Describe the props and costumes in each theatrical presentations and festivals. LISTENING ACTIVITY: The students will watch/listen to the sound and music used in each theate r and festivals. Developing mastery (leads to formative assessment) (EXPLAIN) The teacher will show pictures of props and costumes that are used in theatre and festival. Let the students identify or guess if where those props and costumes being used. (5 minutes) With the same group, each group will ask to improvise sound and rhythm with the use of the improvised instruments which are similar to the assigned Asian festivals and theater to them . (Remind the students regarding their culminating activity) (15 MINS) Each group will choreograph the movements and gestures reflecting the mood of the selected festival/theatrical form of Asia. (20 mins) Ask the students to share their experiences in choreographing movements.  Was it easy creating a movements or choreography? Why?  How important a choreography in a theatrical presentation? (5 minutes) F. Making generalizations and abstractness to the lesson (ELABORATE) ART ACTIVITY The teacher will group the students into five. Ask them to make a props and costumes to be used to their selected theatrical presentation and festival. Ask the students:  Do you enjoy creating a music accompaniment using improvised instruments? Why? Do sound and music necessary in a theatrical presentation? Why? Group Practice How choreography makes a presentation interesting to watch? (5 minutes) 
