distribute your media
product and why?
Egmont
• The publisher of the current pop music magazine, as we love
pop is Egmont. Egmont is a Uk based children's books and
magazine publisher. This magazine publishes a wide range of
children's books and magazines from entertainment for
younger children and older more teenage magazines like "we
love pop".

Egmont was created in the 1800s by a man names Harold
Petersen. He started out as a one man business however now
has become very success seeing over 1 million magazine sales
in a one mouth period.
Why might they might distribute im media
product?
• Egmont publishes on many different media platforms
such as iPads, kindles and the internet. This is one of the
reasons Egmont might distribute my media product. As
my target demographic is 12-16 year olds who commonly
use these platforms , this would attract the audience,
seeing they purchase the magazine electrically rather
than physically picking the magazine up. This would
reassure Egmont, that the magazine will sell.
They would help distribute my magazine as we have
similar audiences thus seeing them have the knowledge
into how the publishing will make the magazine sell well.
They have published pop music magazines like "we love pop"
which has been very successful therefore telling me my
magazine would be in good hands. Also with my magazine
being pop they would feel comfortable distributing it as they
are familiar with this genre.
