How does your media product represent particular social group? Ravi Gurung
FRONT COVER From the front cover you can automatically tell it is an music magazine, mainly from the artist (Karma Subba) holding the guitar which really stands out because of the blur. The artist on the from cover looks aged between a teenager and a young adult which represents our social group. Keeping in mind that it is an music magazine our target audience would most likely be aged 16-24 who enjoys music, likes going out to musical events such as concerts and gigs. The colours selection for our mast head “VIRUS” supports our magazines genre which is “Funk”. We thought the genre “Funk” shows variety of colours so we use this as our house style.
DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD Our double page spread has different pictures with different type of people than the photo in the front cover. These picture would represent s social group who would listen to music such as Funk-Jam which is more like Hip-hop and R&B whereas from the photo in the front cover would complete represent a different type of social group such as people who listens to indie, punk, and alternative. This shows our magazine has an wider target audience and also the genre Funk  because it had variety of sub-genre’s.
CONTENT PAGE Our contents page basically shows different types of artists and bands representing different types of Funk Subgenres genres, such as Punk-Funk, Funkcore, G-funk, and Funk Jam. This again represents different types of social group who listens to different types of music. Your can also notice the people are different race to show that music bring togetherness to different people regardless of there cultures and where they are from. This is one of the good influence that music has on people. You can notice that variety of colour to so our audience is the type who reacts well to different types of colours.
CONCLUSION Our media product represents our social group are between teenagers and young adults aged 16-24 who are interested and has vibe for music. Who likes going out to music events and parties.  All well as music our social also represent people who likes gossip where there are twist and turn events of a band in our magazine.  Exclusive such as band interviews where they expresses there feeling and thoughts.
