Title:

unique

Positioning statement: look at music in a different way
Frequency of publication: monthly
Price: £2.20
Distribution: supermarkets, newsagents, online website and music shops. It will be available
digitally so people can subscribe from iPads / iPhones etc.
Rationale: The aim of the magazine is to be able to successfully compete with magazines
such as NME, Q and mojo and therefore will follow a similar format to these. However the
magazine will be purely based on indie music and will not diverse into other genres like the
other magazines do, which is the unique selling point of this magazine. The magazine will
consist of album/ artist reviews, interviews with artists, quizzes, and the latest news from
the world of indie music. The magazine will be published monthly.
Style: The language used in this magazine will be simple in order for teenagers to
understand easily. The font will be easy to read as I don’t want to include any fancy writing
that will distract the target audience as it should be basic and simple in order for it to stand
out.
