My World of Photography
Hi everyone! I'm Hafizah (0) so I love taking photos of old buildings. Taking such photos (9)
giving me an opportunity to look at old buildings from a different perspective. It is a great way of creating
awesome (10) picture which 1 can share with my friends through social media.
I started taking up photography when I (11) were twelve. My father showed me a picture of a row of
colonial buildings when he was working (12) to Malacca. It was picturesque like a postcard so I (13) asks
my father to take me along on his next trip. Soon after that, I went to Penang with him. Now I (14) had a
collection of pictures showing 45 different old buildings around Malaysia.

Part 4
How to Boost Your Immune System
Many students are not taking proper care of their health. They tend to forget about their health while
coping with things such as lessons, extra-curricular activities and social events. Hence, we should take steps
to boost our immune system.
It is a fact that a good immune system helps build strong resistance against diseases. In order to boost
our immunity, we should get sufficient sleep. Ideally, we should sleep for six to eight hours daily. A lack of
sleep may cause us to feel tired easily.
Secondly, we must drink eight glasses of water daily. This helps to flush out toxins from our bod ies. It
is best to avoid coffee, tea and carbonated drinks.
Thirdly, we should practise good eating habits. Eat more fruits and leafy vegetables. Avoid taking
processed food. Good personal hygiene can also boost our immune system. Wash your hands after visiting
restrooms and before and after meals to kill germs.
Doing regular exercise is equally important. It is a fact that exercise strengthens our bones, muscles
and reduces the risk of osteoporosis. Taking a daily dose of multivitamins will enable us to build strong
resistance against infections.
Life is a precious gift. We have to take the right steps to keep ourselves healthy. After all, prevention
is better than cure.

Why I Enjoy Listening to Ghost Stories
I love listening to ghost stories. I think listening to ghost stories is like riding a
rollercoaster. You ride it for the thrill and excitement that comes from being terrified.
Well, I am not really a fan of such rides, so listening to ghost stories is my way of
experiencing the fear and thrill.
My grandfather is an exceptional storyteller - ghost stories that is, but my younger
brother does not like it at all. Usually, my sister and 1 would get all excited when our
grandfather calls us to say that he has a story to share. Sometimes, 1 would keep a pillow
close by, just in case it gets too frightening!
Last week, he told us a story about a haunted road in a village. Unsuspecting motorists
who drove along that road at night would see an old man crossing the road and smiling at
them. The next thing they knew, the old man would be sitting at the back seat of their
vehicles before vanishing into thin air! It was as scary as the story about his former
boarding school. I had to stop listening at one point and pretended to get a drink, just to
calm myself.
Some of his stories would linger in my mind for days. One night, I heard a knock on the
window in the living room. When I went closer to check, I thought I saw a figure standing
in the shadows. The situation was similar to the story my grandfather had told. Suddenly,
the door banged shut behind me and I screamed at the top of my voice. However, it turned
out to be my younger brother playing tricks on me!

Music and Me
When I was about six years old, my mother registered me for a guitar class.
As I strummed the guitar, the string snapped and it hit my left cheek.
Though it was not serious, 1 started to have the fear of the string snapping and hitting my
eye that I could go blind.
Then, my father bought me a violin when I was eight years old.
Despite getting the best violin teacher to teach me, I just could not get over my fear of
stringed instruments. It was no surprise that the practice was short-lived.
It was not until 1 was eleven years old that I decided to try to take up learning another
musicalinstrument. As a matter of fact, it was the only type of musical
instrument which I really enjoyed playing. My parents were glad that 1 found a musical
instrument that I was comfortable with.
So then I asked my parents to look for a good piano teacher. From then
on, I spent hours practising to be better. There were times when I would injure my fingers
during practice sessions.

[8 marks] Part 4 How to Boost Your Immune System Many students are not taking proper care of their health. They tend to forget about their health while coping with things such as lessons, extra-curricular activities and social events. Hence, we should take steps to boost our immune system. It is a fact that a good immune system helps build strong resistance against diseases. In order to boost our immunity, we should get sufficient sleep. Ideally, we should sleep for six to eight hours daily. A lack of sleep may cause us to feel tired easily. Secondly, we must drink eight glasses of water daily. This helps to flush out toxins from our bod ies. It is best to avoid coffee, tea and carbonated drinks. Thirdly, we should practise good eating habits. Eat more fruits and leafy vegetables. Avoid taking processed food. Good personal hygiene can also boost our immune system. Wash your hands after visiting restrooms and before and after meals to kill germs. Doing regular exercise is equally important. It is a fact that exercise strengthens our bones, muscles and reduces the risk of osteoporosis. Taking a daily dose of multivitamins will enable us to build strong resistance against infections. Life is a precious gift. We have to take the right steps to keep ourselves healthy. After all, prevention is better than cure.

I think listening to ghost stories is like riding a rollercoaster. You ride it for the thrill and excitement that comes from being terrified. Well, I am not really a fan of such rides, so listening to ghost stories is my way of experiencing the fear and thrill. My grandfather is an exceptional storyteller - ghost stories that is, but my younger brother does not like it at all. Usually, my sister and 1 would get all excited when our grandfather calls us to say that he has a story to share. Sometimes, 1 would keep a pillow close by, just in case it gets too frightening! Last week, he told us a story about a haunted road in a village. Unsuspecting motorists who drove along that road at night would see an old man crossing the road and smiling at them. The next thing they knew, the old man would be sitting at the back seat of their vehicles before vanishing into thin air! It was as scary as the story about his former boarding school. I had to stop listening at one point and pretended to get a drink, just to calm myself. Some of his stories would linger in my mind for days. One night, I heard a knock on the window in the living room. When I went closer to check, I thought I saw a figure standing in the shadows. The situation was similar to the story my grandfather had told. Suddenly, the door banged shut behind me and I screamed at the top of my voice. However, it turned out to be my younger brother playing tricks on me!

As I strummed the guitar, the string snapped and it hit my left cheek. Though it was not serious, 1 started to have the fear of the string snapping and hitting my eye that I could go blind. Then, my father bought me a violin when I was eight years old. Despite getting the best violin teacher to teach me, I just could not get over my fear of stringed instruments. It was no surprise that the practice was short-lived. It was not until 1 was eleven years old that I decided to try to take up learning another musicalinstrument. As a matter of fact, it was the only type of musical instrument which I really enjoyed playing. My parents were glad that 1 found a musical instrument that I was comfortable with. So then I asked my parents to look for a good piano teacher. From then on, I spent hours practising to be better. There were times when I would injure my fingers during practice sessions. A .
