20. Commuter Rail to DMU Light Rail
Integrate with regional heavy rail (Coaster and Amtrak).
We believe that, with the installation of Positive Train Control on
the LOSSAN corridor, the region has an opportunity, working with
our Congressional delegation and the Federal Railroad Administra-tion,
to pursue a pilot program for exploring the use of light DMUs
on that corridor. Alternatively, we should explore heavy DMUs.
