group . This project is a result of a group of 5 people and develops a short video clip to 
interpret concept in the short video clip . The contributions are sincerely gratefully

well among the topics in order to give us the chance to interpret it in a short video clip

INTRODUCTION 
This report we will study the concept of social psychology in total of 10 different 
topics and we are opt to pick 5 out of the various concepts among these 10 topics of this 
module , “ Social Psychology “ . 
After few times of group meetings and discussions . We’ve found plenty of 
inspirational short films and short video clips to get us the idea on how does psychology 
concepts interpret on these videos . Among so many short films awarded , we 
acknowledge that non-verbal communication is usually applied in the video . By body 
language and hand gesture , we humans could understand it even without the use of 
words from mouth . 
After watching plenty of short films , we found a short film named “ The Shoes “ 
which was awarded as one of the best short film awards around the globe and we find it 
interesting to work on it . We used that as an inspiration on our video and make a twist 
out of it . We manage to interpret 5 different concepts in a short film by using verbal and 
non-verbal communication .
METHODS 
2.1 Apparatus 
Suitable attire for filming , camera , sandwiches , tables , chairs , tripod stand for 
camera . 
2.2 Procedure 
By preparing ur own suitable attire for assigned character on our video filming , 
we chose our University to video shoot . We are filmed entirely by using camera with 
certain angles and the use of tripod stand . Tables and chairs are found in nearby the 
University therefore we do not have to prepare beforehand . After getting ready , we start 
to film the video by applying our concepts into a video clip .
DISCUSSION 
The first few meeting , we are busy searching for inspirational short film to get an 
idea on how does one social psychology concepts implied in a certain video and how is it 
done . After finding various of videos , we find it easy to understand the topics that we 
have learnt through the semester among the 10 topics . 
What we acknowledge something in common in most of the video are , people 
were stereotyped , confirmation biased , learning through observation , motivating and 
also behavior which are done for selfless reasons . There are more to say about it but 
those are the concepts that we will be using in our short films after discussing so many 
other concepts . These concepts were taught and learnt through classes that we attend to 
and it is easy to imply due to the lecturers detailed explanation of each and every one of 
the concepts . Throughout this process , we have found a short film named “ My shoes “ 
is one of the awarded short film and it’s idea is interesting . We could interpret this short 
film and make a twist out of it to make a short film of our own . 
After discussing the concepts , we conclude our 5 concepts which is stereotyping , 
confirmation bias , observational learning , motivation and prosocial behavior . By using 
the idea of the video we found , we come out with few different characters to play on this 
short video clip . The characters are : Termirlan Kusmanov as poor people 
Tan Wei Zhen as rich people 
Tan Sze Ming as rich people 
Wong Carol as rich people 
Ruben Hoo Kar Wai as sandwich seller 
Starting of the video , we filmed that there is a poor guy feeling hope less , with 
no life goals to strive for , with nothing to look forward in life . When he was at his 
lowest , people still laughs at him , people do not care how he felt about it , he is judged 
badly on his dirtiness and how hopeless he is . Until a generous guy came to motivate 
him to try to make him to get back on track with life . While watching a generous guy did 
not gave up on a poor guy , two girls which once laughed and judge at the poor people 
think they should have not judge and laughed at the poor , instead , they should motivate 
them . They changed because they learnt through observing the rich guy helping out the 
poor people . Lastly , the poor guy was motivated and get back on track with life .
In order to interpret 5 different concepts into this short films , we have to understand the 
definition of each concepts that we will be using . 
Firstly , confirmation bias . By understanding the meaning of confirmation bias , 
it defines paying attention only to information that supports our beliefs and at the mean 
time disregarding information that conflicts with our beliefs . In our short film , we 
interpret the concept by screen playing two girls uses the foul smell , disgusting look of 
the poor man as evidence to support their existing opinion . 
Next , stereotyping . By understanding the meaning of stereotyping , it defines a 
stereotype that assumes that all the members of a group share some common 
characteristic . In our short film , we interpret the concept by screen playing two girl 
judge a book by its cover and discriminate the poor man just by his look and clothes . 
Moving on with the third concept implied would be observational learning . By 
understanding the meaning of observational learning , it defines one individual watches 
others engage in behaviors and then repeating those actions . In our short film , we 
interpret the concept by screen playing two girls watches how the rich guy gave the 
money to the poor guy and encourage him , therefore they learnt what he did and turn out 
to buy sandwich for the poor guy instead of judging the poor people 
Fourth concept would be motivation . By understanding the meaning of 
motivation , it means one individual enhances another individual to be a better person . In 
this case we would be using intrinsic motivation which defines taking a certain action for 
the sake of enjoyment which leads to be greater curiosity and pleasure . For instance , the 
two girls are intrinsically motivated to help the poor man . The motivation comes from 
the pleasure they get from their section itself . 
Lastly , prosocial behavior . Prosocial behavior were divided into two different 
parts while the one we implied in our short film will be Altruistic model which defines a 
behavior are done for selfless reasons . In our short film , the sandwich uncle and the rich 
man are altruistically prosocial because they feel empathy and concern for the poor . 
They helped the poor by giving him money and food .

This project is a result of a group of 5 people and develops a short video clip to interpret concept in the short video clip . The contributions are sincerely gratefully acknowledged . Mr . INTRODUCTION This report we will study the concept of social psychology in total of 10 different topics and we are opt to pick 5 out of the various concepts among these 10 topics of this module , “ Social Psychology “ . After few times of group meetings and discussions . We’ve found plenty of inspirational short films and short video clips to get us the idea on how does psychology concepts interpret on these videos . Among so many short films awarded , we acknowledge that non-verbal communication is usually applied in the video . By body language and hand gesture , we humans could understand it even without the use of words from mouth . After watching plenty of short films , we found a short film named “ The Shoes “ which was awarded as one of the best short film awards around the globe and we find it interesting to work on it . We used that as an inspiration on our video and make a twist out of it . We manage to interpret 5 different concepts in a short film by using verbal and non-verbal communication .
  • 5. METHODS 2.1 Apparatus Suitable attire for filming , camera , sandwiches , tables , chairs , tripod stand for camera . 2.2 Procedure By preparing ur own suitable attire for assigned character on our video filming , we chose our University to video shoot . We are filmed entirely by using camera with certain angles and the use of tripod stand . Tables and chairs are found in nearby the University therefore we do not have to prepare beforehand . After getting ready , we start to film the video by applying our concepts into a video clip .
  • 6. DISCUSSION The first few meeting , we are busy searching for inspirational short film to get an idea on how does one social psychology concepts implied in a certain video and how is it done . After finding various of videos , we find it easy to understand the topics that we have learnt through the semester among the 10 topics . What we acknowledge something in common in most of the video are , people were stereotyped , confirmation biased , learning through observation , motivating and also behavior which are done for selfless reasons . There are more to say about it but those are the concepts that we will be using in our short films after discussing so many other concepts . These concepts were taught and learnt through classes that we attend to and it is easy to imply due to the lecturers detailed explanation of each and every one of the concepts . Throughout this process , we have found a short film named “ My shoes “ is one of the awarded short film and it’s idea is interesting . We could interpret this short film and make a twist out of it to make a short film of our own . After discussing the concepts , we conclude our 5 concepts which is stereotyping , confirmation bias , observational learning , motivation and prosocial behavior . By using the idea of the video we found , we come out with few different characters to play on this short video clip . The characters are : Termirlan Kusmanov as poor people Tan Wei Zhen as rich people Tan Sze Ming as rich people Wong Carol as rich people Ruben Hoo Kar Wai as sandwich seller Starting of the video , we filmed that there is a poor guy feeling hope less , with no life goals to strive for , with nothing to look forward in life . When he was at his lowest , people still laughs at him , people do not care how he felt about it , he is judged badly on his dirtiness and how hopeless he is . Until a generous guy came to motivate him to try to make him to get back on track with life . While watching a generous guy did not gave up on a poor guy , two girls which once laughed and judge at the poor people think they should have not judge and laughed at the poor , instead , they should motivate them . They changed because they learnt through observing the rich guy helping out the poor people . Lastly , the poor guy was motivated and get back on track with life .
  • 7. In order to interpret 5 different concepts into this short films , we have to understand the definition of each concepts that we will be using . Firstly , confirmation bias . By understanding the meaning of confirmation bias , it defines paying attention only to information that supports our beliefs and at the mean time disregarding information that conflicts with our beliefs . In our short film , we interpret the concept by screen playing two girls uses the foul smell , disgusting look of the poor man as evidence to support their existing opinion . Next , stereotyping . By understanding the meaning of stereotyping , it defines a stereotype that assumes that all the members of a group share some common characteristic . In our short film , we interpret the concept by screen playing two girl judge a book by its cover and discriminate the poor man just by his look and clothes . Moving on with the third concept implied would be observational learning . By understanding the meaning of observational learning , it defines one individual watches others engage in behaviors and then repeating those actions . In our short film , we interpret the concept by screen playing two girls watches how the rich guy gave the money to the poor guy and encourage him , therefore they learnt what he did and turn out to buy sandwich for the poor guy instead of judging the poor people Fourth concept would be motivation . By understanding the meaning of motivation , it means one individual enhances another individual to be a better person . In this case we would be using intrinsic motivation which defines taking a certain action for the sake of enjoyment which leads to be greater curiosity and pleasure . For instance , the two girls are intrinsically motivated to help the poor man . The motivation comes from the pleasure they get from their section itself . Lastly , prosocial behavior . Prosocial behavior were divided into two different parts while the one we implied in our short film will be Altruistic model which defines a behavior are done for selfless reasons . In our short film , the sandwich uncle and the rich man are altruistically prosocial because they feel empathy and concern for the poor . They helped the poor by giving him money and food .
