Node-RED is a flow-based programming tool for wiring together hardware devices, APIs and online services that was created by IBM in 2013 and is now a founding project of the JS Foundation. It uses a browser-based flow editor to help develop IoT applications and can be used both at the edge on devices like Raspberry Pi as well as in the cloud. Node-RED features a wide range of nodes that allow it to interface with services, protocols, and devices.
