written about a hero, or something heroic, like an epic. Epics are long poems,
typically told orally in ancient times, about the adventures of a hero or heroine and

works known as epics are so well known, that they are even parodied, take

The book A Night Divided, is a great book. It is about a girl named Gerta and her
family. She has an older brother Fritz, a brother Dominic, her father (papa) and her
mother Frau Lowe. The Berlin Wallhad just gone up after the Second World War
separating East and West Germany, and her and her family live in the West. One
night her brother Dominic and her father decide they need to get through the wall
for work without guards noticing because the consequences could be deadly. Her
brother and Father make it across but they cannot find a way to come back
because the wall has been added on and is even more dangerous now. Gerta ends
up not being able to talk to her father or brother for at least 4 years. One day Gerta
was walking to school with her best friend Anna when she see s her brother,
Dominic on the other side of the wall and waves. She eventually ended up seeing
her dad to but then she got caught by an officer by the name of Officer Muller. She
ended up getting away from the Officer but she knew he would be watching her
every move from now on. But everyday when she goes to school she see s them on
the platform and her dad is doing a dance that he always did for her as a kid when
they were little. But, he continues doing the digging scene from the dance trying to
give her a signal that he wants her to do something or he is going to do something.
But if Gerta tries to cross that wall it could be deadly and we don t know what would
happen.
The three main characters of the book are Gerta, her brother Fritz, and Anna which
is Gerta s best friend. Gerta is the main character and she is very determined, brave
and loves her family very much and wants them all together again. Fritz is Gerta s
older brother who has her back and is with her for everything. He is a hard working
man and will have to go and be a soldier if they do not make it to the other side of
the wall in time. Anna is Gerta s best friend and they always are there for each
other. When one day Anna s older brother Peter tried to escape and Gerta knew that
Peter was going to escape but did not tell Anna and their best friend relationship

Then, 2ml would be combined with 2ml India ink and fixed at 0, 5, 10, 20 minutes.

Self defence: A Holistic Perspective
Women need to give up the notion that they are inherently vulnerable and passive
victims of attacks by strangers and instead assume primary responsibility for their
safety by becoming strong and potentially lethal. This is Leslie Marmon Silko s
dominant idea in her essay In the Combat Zone. The author draws attention to the
vulnerability felt by the majority of women and goes on to make a case for guns
and how it provides women with confidence and the power to fend off attackers or
would be attackers. The author s stance on this subject is quite predictable
considering her background and upbringing. She was raised in an environment
where children were given responsibilities at an early age. Therefore, it is no
surprise that at age seven her father armed and trained her on how to safely handle
