This document provides examples and instructions for three pronunciation concepts: homophones, homographs, and minimal pairs.
For homophones, it gives examples of words that sound the same but have different spellings like "meet" and "meat", and asks the student to provide three more examples.
For homographs, it gives examples of words that have the same spelling but different pronunciations like "live" and "record", and asks the student to provide three more examples.
For minimal pairs, it explains they are word pairs that differ by one phoneme and asks the student to identify the different sound in examples given, write the phonetic transcription for each pair, and provide four more examples
