Project Profile Metalbuilding

CFS Engineers designed the foundations and footings for two prefabricated metal buildings that were part of an $11 million construction project to build a Metro Train maintenance facility in Baltimore, Maryland. The design included spread footings, grade beams, and pedestal piers cast monolithically to safely transfer forces from the buildings to the underlying poor soil conditions of rock and fill while not exceeding the soil's bearing capacity.
