Profile Essay Examples
Crafting an essay on the topic of "Profile Essay Examples" poses a unique set of challenges. The
difficulty lies not just in presenting a mere compilation of examples but in weaving a narrative
that encapsulates the essence of profiles, demonstrating a profound understanding of the subject
matter. This task demands a delicate balance between showcasing exemplary profiles and
providing insightful analysis.
One of the primary challenges is the need for meticulous research. Collecting a diverse array of
profiles to exemplify various styles and approaches requires an in-depth exploration of different
sources. It involves scouring articles, books, and online platforms to identify compelling
individuals and their stories. This phase demands not only time but also discernment in selecting
profiles that are not only engaging but also representative of the broader theme.
The actual composition of the essay is another hurdle. Balancing descriptive elements with
analytical insights requires a keen sense of storytelling. The challenge is to present the examples
in a manner that not only captures the reader's attention but also allows for a deeper
understanding of the principles governing profile essays. This demands a mastery of language, a
nuanced approach to narrative structure, and an ability to transition seamlessly between
examples and analysis.
Furthermore, the writer must navigate the fine line between objectivity and subjectivity. While
presenting the chosen profiles, it's crucial to maintain a level of detachment, allowing readers to
form their own opinions. Simultaneously, injecting a personal voice and perspective adds depth
to the analysis. Striking this balance is a delicate art that requires a keen understanding of the
essay's intended audience and purpose.
In conclusion, crafting an essay on "Profile Essay Examples" is a challenging endeavor that
necessitates extensive research, skilled composition, and a nuanced understanding of both the
subject matter and the audience. Success lies in presenting a diverse range of profiles while
offering insightful analysis. For those seeking assistance with similar essays or any other writing

Medical Malpractice Essay
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Baltimore, MD) RightDiagnosis.com reports seven of every 1,000 babies born in
the United States suffer a birth injury. This works out to 28,000 victims per year, 538
per week or three per hour. One baby is one baby too many, however, and parents
need to know there is help when they find their child has been harmed in this manner.
Gershon, Willoughby and Getz, LLC (http://medicalmalpracticedoctors.com) truly
understands the impact a birth injury has on a family, as many of the partners have

If this child is injured during the birth process or suffers a birth related disability,
legal guidance is needed. Medical malpractice involves the complex science of
medicine, therefore successful advocacy requires a deep passion for this field and a

Essay On The Great Battle Of The American Civil War
The Great Battles of the American Civil War The Civil War, often called the War
for Southern Independence began on April 12, 1861. The main cause of the war
was slavery. The southern states depended on slaves to help grow crops which
were the main source of income for the south. Slavery was illegal in all of the
northern states but most people actually were neutral about it. The main conflict was
if slavery should be permitted in the newly developing western territories. The first
battle of the Civil War occurred on April 10, 1861 when Brigadier General
Beauregard demanded the surrender of Fort Sumter. The commander of the fort,
Major Anderson, refused. Two days later Confederate artillery came crashing down
on the fort. On... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Johnston originally planned to attack Grant on April 4, but delays postponed it until
the 6th. Attacking the Union troops on the morning of the 6th, the Confederates
surprised them, routing many. Some Federals made determined stands and by
afternoon, they had established a battle line at the sunken road, known as the
Hornets Nest. Repeated Rebel attacks failed to carry the Hornets Nest, but massed
artillery helped to turn the tide as Confederates surrounded the Union troops and
captured, killed, or wounded most. Johnston had been mortally wounded earlier and
his second in command, Gen. P.G.T. Beauregard, took over. The Union troops
established another line covering Pittsburgh Landing, anchored with artillery and
augmented by Buell s men who began to arrive and take up positions. Fighting
continued until after dark, but the Federals held. By the next morning, the
combined Federal forces numbered about 40,000, outnumbering Beauregard s army
of less than 30,000. Beauregard was unaware of the arrival of Buell s army and
launched a counterattack in response to a two mile advance by William Nelson s
division of Buell s army at 6:00 am, which was, at first, successful. Union troops
stiffened and began forcing the Confederates back. Beauregard ordered a
counterattack, which stopped the Union advance but did not break its battle line. At
this point, Beauregard realized that he could not win and, having suffered too many
Biopolitical Control Of Specific Groups Of Women Essay
Since the late 19th century, women s reproductive health choices in the United States
have become increasingly controlled (Solinger, 2013). Abortion, contraceptives,
sterilization and even pregnancy itself have become biological processes (Foucault,
2003) that place women in the public eye; their choices becoming the targets of
policy and regulation (Solinger, 2013; Foucault, 2003). When these regulations are
crafted, the assumption behind them is that they will affect all women equally (Pruitt
Vanegas, 2015). However, there are various factors that change the way that policy
and regulation of reproductive health affect women. My dissertation topic will focus
on how biopolitical control of specific groups of women is achieved through broadly
applied legislation targeting reproductive health. This includes legislation that targets
access to abortion, defunds reproductive health care access providers such as Planned
Parenthood, and that further medicalizes birth. My theoretical frameworks will center
on the work of Patricia Hill Collins and Michel Foucault.
To begin, Patricia Hill Collins work on intersectionality would provide an
appropriate background to introduce how lived experiences are shaped by a
culmination of different factors (Hill ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Biopolitics is a theoretical framework that states that individuals are not truly
individual, but rather a group that can be controlled by entities such as governments
through the regulation of biological processes including birth and death (Foucault,
2003). When legislation that controls reproduction is passed, it effects biopolitical
control of women by controlling their biological processes (Foucault, 2003). When
we combine biopolitics with intersectionality, we can examine how higher
biopolitical control of certain groups of women is achieved through legislation that
targets reproductive health care
The Importance Of Jim Crow Laws
One has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws. By Martin Luther King Jr.
The unjust laws King was talking about is the Jim Crow Laws. Those laws
segregated white folks from black. The laws had several foolish examples of how
blacks slightly ruined white life s. The motto of the Jim Crow laws was, Separate,

this essay, I will be discussing why the Jim Crow lawswere not beneficial for anyone
living through that terrible time.
Out of the many childish laws, one that caught my attention was number twenty one.
It stated, Prisons: The warden shall see that the white convicts shall have separate

Mirrors In Charlotte Bronte s Jane Eyre
Human nature urges one to constantly glance at reflective glasses in order to confirm
that the physical features presented to the society does not emerge with one s sinful,
corrupted identity. In the Victorian Gothic novel Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, the
presence of mirrors symbolizes Jane s corrupted identity, physically represented as
Bertha: a rebellious, revolutionary, and dangerous being. Throughout her journey, the
absence of mirrors symbolizes the restoration of the fragmented pieces in her identity
that develops Jane into a definite individual without society s influence to reach
independence. Jane begins her journey toward independence at Gateshead, where
Jane s reflection in the mirror shows her trapped rebellious identity in... Show more

Initially, Jane runs away from Thornfield to Moorhouse in order to stop Jane s
further transformation into a corrupted, depraved identity reflected as Bertha in the
mirror at Thornfield. When Jane returns to Thornfield restored into a whole
identity, she encounters upon Bertha s death amongst the ruins of Thornfield,
physically signifying Jane s freedom to marry Rochester while withholding to her
own values of equality in power and identity: Death of Bertha frees her from the
furies that torment her and makes possible a marriage of equality makes possible,
that is, wholeness within herself (Gilbert and Guber 362). Bronte includes Bertha s
death in the novel to portray Jane s separation from the shadows of Bertha through
Jane s establishment of independence and wholeness in Moorhouse. The destruction
of Thornfield and Bertha also symbolizes the shattering of the mirrors that once
reflected the corrupted versions of Jane as a phantom and a madwoman. Finally,
Jane completes her pilgrimage of freedom in Ferndean by confronting her original
fear of losing her identity with the marriage of Rochester. Jane chooses to return to
Rochester and become the eyes and arms of Mr. Rochester by declaring, Reader, I
married him (Bronte 861). Jane s decision to marry Rochester shows the demolition

Piaget s Four Stages Of Development
There are four different stages in Piaget s Stages of Development. The first stage
of Piaget is oftenly within the age range of zero to two years and it is called the
Sensorimotor Stage. This stage is the stage where children are learning more about
what is around them and they learn about touches, tastes, smells, sounds, and what
they see. They are also always moving and interested in everything around them. In
this first stage babies also don t know the permanence of objects and think that if
they can t see something or that it went missing that it disappeared. An example of
this stage is: a baby is crawling and touching everything it sees and tries to put it in
its mouth. The second stage of Piaget s Stages of Development is usually within the
age range of two to seven years and it is known as the Preoperational... Show more

The moral of this second stage is independence and the negative outcome is shame.
An example of this stages negative outcome is a child always being criticized and
developing a low self esteem. The third stage of Erikson s Psychosocial
Development happens at around the age range of three to five and it deals with
initiative versus guilt. The moral of this third stage is purpose and the negative
outcome is guilt and this can be triggered by being overly criticized. An example of
this stages negative outcome is a child feeling guilty for the things they have done
and having a really low self esteem because they are constantly always being overly
condemned. The fourth stage of Erikson s Psychosocial Development happens at
around the ages of six to twelve and it deals with industry versus inferiority. The
moral of this fourth stage is pride and the negative outcome is inferiority. An
example of this stages virtue is a child receiving positive feedback all the time from
their parents and feeling like they are valuable to
Mulan And Molana Comparison

relationship of these two films is important for my thesis credibility. These films were
not randomly chosen for a comparison and contrast paper. In fact, they were carefully

the same filmstudio and are constructed with some identical elements. Additionally,
my research is centered on how these films are similar within the overall storytelling

Slave Narrative Analysis
In the slave narrative titled Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass , an
American Slave, the author claims that slaves were not the only people with
negative effects. Douglass supports his pursuit through countless endeavors during
his time in and out of the shackles of slavery. The author s purpose is to show the
negative effects that not only caused long term damage to slaves, but slaveholders
also. The author writes in a reflective tone for the general public, giving the reader a
deeper, more relatable, insight into the true lifestyle of slaves and their owners.
Throughout the narrative, Douglass encounters multiple slaveholders, each with a
similar trait. Their moral health becomes a deciding factor in each of the slaves lives.

towards ever person starting at the age of one and continues until eight teen years
of age. Those people are wrong why would someone ever believes that it s all right

and many more. These types of vaccines can lead to serious health problems in the
future or even as soon as later on that day of the child receiving these vaccines.
Although some may say babies and older children need these vaccines to survive
whom to say that they are right. There are multiple children out there that parents
will decide not to allow their children to get certain vaccines because of the long term
effect it could have on their body. The one effect that stands out the most to
individuals would be the well knows autism. Autism is a serious developmental
disorder that impairs the ability to communicate and interact. Even through some may
say that there is not many cases out there with children getting autism from these
vaccines it has happen before. Vaccines can be harmful not only to little children but
also to people from the ages of five through nineteen. Vaccinates should not be
mandatory because it can cause long term health hazards sometimes even death.
Health care professional need to implement a law to reframe using vaccines.
Vaccines have been mandatory in many places for a long time now, but that still does

Philosophy And The Modern Philosophy
Upon talking about the history of modern philosophy, one of the most important
philosophers, who is considered as the father of the philosophy in this period, is
Descartes. He was a pioneer for the movement of the new trend of philosophy and
became a break between the medieval philosophy and the modern philosophy. Being
educated in the environment of medieval philosophy, specifically in the school of
Jesuits, Descartes received the system of scholastic philosophy as his foundation
for making a new start into the history of philosophy. In his life, Descartes tried to
establish a system of philosophy which was suitable to the development of society
and science. To do that, he did not collapse pre philosophical systems, but somehow
he ignored their values. In his Meditations he says Once in my life I had to raze
everything to the ground and begin again from the original foundations, if I wanted to
establish anything firm and lasting in the sciences. Therefore, he just could begin a
new system of philosophy which, he thought, would be a certain and firm foundation
to get knowledge. However, to build up the principles for this foundation, Descartes
had to use the concept of Godin his arguments. The existenceof God became an
important means for the construction of his new philosophical system. Hence, I will
emphasize on the importance of God in this paper by discovering the role of God as
a means in Descartes main points of reasoning, particularly God with the method of

involving linguistic variable [13].
6.1 METHODOLOGY
In this paper we introduce an modern methodology for water treatment plant
affecting factors analysis. The proposed expert system manages and explores the
knowledge in this specific application by reasoning on a database of facts by means
of suitable inference rules. The proposed comprehensive, homogenous framework
uses a set of Fuzzy Inference Systems to interpret, standardize and fuse heterogeneous
data in order to estimate normalized factors. The FIS for affecting factor analysis is
divided into four main components: the fuzzification, knowledge base,
Inference engine, and the Defuzzification.
Fuzzy logic controller has four components:
1) Fuzzification: It transforms input into suitable linguistic value so that can be
compared to the rule in rule base.
2) Knowledge Base: It contains the knowledge in form of a set of rules to control
the artificial system. It is the collection of rules. The basic function of rule base is to
provide the required information to fuzzification module, the rule base and the
defuzzification module. If part is called antecedent and then part is called consequent.
3) Inference Engine: If control rules are relevant then it decides the input to the plant.
The Inference system provides the mechanism for invoking or referring to the rule
base such that the proper rules are fired on the situation.

to keep myself restricted to my own business and I excel, brainstorm and work best
in my own individual time. My hobbies majorly include reading books and writing,
just about everything. I think it is vital to write about important things that matter
a lot, and then read them to gain awareness. My writing skills are above average, I
am still in a learning process though, and I feel the need to excel more in this art.
My writing experience includes content writing, writing blogs and articles,
academic writing, I have experienced many formats and types of writings during
my state of learning. As a writer, my strengths mainly are to keep the content
precise, without exaggerating it so that the reader can get knowledge of the topic
clearly and to maintain their interest in it. As far as my weaknesses are concerned,
I think I still should work more on the referencing and citations part of writing. As
far as my personal approach to writing is concerned, it is vital for me, from writing
daily feelings into a journal to writing full length essays, the way words make sense
in the mind and just keep flowing into sentences that just fits in I find it one of the
most important things that a person can ever have. It is an art and having some sense

Comparing Krush Grove And Do The Right Thing
In Spike Lee s Do The Right Thing and Michael Shultz s Krush Grove, the various
sights and sounds that are present from the beginnings of the movies are used as
tools to portray the different African American experiences that are present in both
films. In the opening credits of Do The Right Thing, Public Enemy s Fight the
Power can be heard while a women dances. In this case, the imagery and music are
used as tools to help establish a setting that the movie takes place in. The sights and
sounds in the opening credits help transport the viewer to the streets of Brooklyn in
the late 1980 s, where the majority of Do The Right Thingtakes place. Similar
techniques of creating a setting using sights and sounds are used throughout Krush

Author Guthrie Ramsey states in Musing New Hoods that the music used in Do The
Right Thing depicts a range of associations that include black male and female
subjectivity, ethnic identity, a sense of location, emotional and mental states, a
specific historical moment, and the perspectives of age groups (Ramsey 314). The
various characters in Do The Right Thing such as radio host Mister SenМѓor Love
Daddy (played be Samuel L. Jackson) and Radio Raheem (played by Bill Nunn) use
hip hop music to establish a sense of location, emotional states, and ethnic identity
that is present throughout the movie. In one scene, Radio Raheem is shown in a
confrontation with a group of Latinos playing Salsa music. Radio Raheem proceeds
to blast his hip hop music at full volume in order to outplay the Latinos Salsa music.
This is another example of how music is used in the film to display the ethnic
identities of individuals, as well as the various emotional and mental states that
music can create. In addition to hip hop music, Spike Lee implements a variety of
music genres in Do The Right Thing in order to create a certain ambiance and
feeling. The use of orchestral music throughout the film plays an important role in
establishing specific emotions during scenes. Jazz and soul music are also used to
display emotion during various exchanges between characters. According to Victoria
E. Johnson, the music used in Do The Right Thing serves to convey a romanticized
vision of community in the ethnically mixed neighborhood in which the story takes
place (Ramsey 315).
In Krush Grove, director Michael Shultz uses various musical performances to
display the many aspects of hip hop culture and the African American experience.
Similar to Do The Right Thing, Krush Grove s use of imagery and music help portray
the ethic identities,

On April 19, 1989, 29 year old Trisha Meili was brutally attacked and raped in
Central Park. The attack was a high profile case for a few reasons: the victim was a
white woman in an affluent part of Manhattan, and the perpetrators were thought to
be a group of young, low class Black and Latino teens from Harlem. Raymond
Santana, Kevin Richardson, Antron McCray, Yusef Salaam, and Korey Wise were
interrogated and manipulated, leading to their arrests and imprisonment for a brutal

Since the Underclass is also apparently a culture of poverty and behavior being linked,
it is important to note that according to the National Research Council, over half of
fathers in prison reported being the primary source of income for their household. If
these fathers eventually do get released, the chances of them finding employment is
restricted, leaving the family struggling financially even more than they were before.
This continues to prove that even though there are systemic and legislative reasons as
to why the marginalized remain marginalized, the ruling society continuously blames
the disadvantaged groups for their living conditions. In the case of the five teens
accused of raping and brutally attacking Trisha Meili, the consequences aren t about
how they couldn t function as father figures because they were in prison, but rather
that their families were put under so much scrutiny and abuse under the lens of mass
media, the government, and the general public. Antron described his
Determination of Redusing Sugar Using Dns Method
1.0ABSTRACT The production of reducing sugars by acid of carbohydrate cereals
powder, jams (total sugar content) and jams (reducing sugar content) were performed
in order to study reducing sugar production. The study involved hydrolysis
carbohydrate cereals powder and jams by immersing in boiling water at
environmental temperature. Acid hydrolysis was carried out through reflux boiling
for 20 minutes with 10ml 0f 1.5M concentrations of diluted sulphuric acid. Reducing
sugars concentrations were determined by spectrophotometry using the 3, 5
dinitrosalicylic acid (DNS) method. The first sample was operated as blank for zero.

The above reaction scheme shows that one mole of sugar will react with one mole of
3,5 dinitrosalicylic acid. However, it is suspected that there are many side reactions,
and the actual reaction stoichiometry is more complicated than that previously
described. The type of side reaction depends on the exact nature of the reducing
sugars.
Different reducing sugars generally yield different color intensities; thus, it is
necessary to calibrate for each sugar. In addition to the oxidation of the carbonyl
groups in the sugar, other side reactions such as the decomposition of sugar also
compete for the availability of 3,5 dinitrosalicylic acid(http://www.ehow.com
/about_5244996_general use dinitrosalicylic acid.html). As a consequence,
carboxymethyl cellulose can affect the calibration curve by enhancing the intensity of
the developed color. Although this is a convenient and relatively inexpensive method,
due to the relatively low specificity, one must run blanks diligently if the colorimetric
results are to be interpreted
Black Boy Language Essay
The entirety of the novel Black Boy by Richard Wright is composed of scenes that
are meant to strike the audience. Whether it be through a stark use of pathos or a
technical use of logos, each scene is calculated. However, two scenes tend to stick
out in the mind s eye. They specifically offer an extra sense of reality to the already
raw story that is presented. As a well known author, Wright employs language in
order to get his stories across. And considering that language can take many
different meanings, I found two instances or scenes in which language played a
vital role. It impacted the author as a child in ways that may have led to his writing
style as it is in this novel, therefore it helped to shape him as a writer. These scenes

Each experience had a sharp meaning of its own (45). Wright continues to explain
how every experience he has from this point onward has a deeper meaning that he
would have never seen before. Just as there are negative consequences that come
with experience as seen in the tale of the noisy kitten there are just as many
positive outcomes. In this case, Wright sees the world from a different angle and
can, therefore, interpret it from different sides. Learning from his mistake of
speaking poor language to his grandmother, he vowed to learn the meaning of all
the words he would speak. As a writer, each word choice is then a reflection of his
new outlook. He utilizes phrases such as breathlessly anxious , flitting fireflies ,
pervading smell , pitying chuckle , and saliva stimulating smell (45) immediately
following his resolve. Each of these holds an intense imagery that is able to connect
the audience to the author. By spending time outlining the clarity of all the
experiences around him it is clear to the reader that the author experienced a change
in thought and view. As an individual he had the power to decide which language he
chooses to employ in his writing, but he knows that without knowing its true meaning
it holds power over him. His writing style in this instant stands to show that he has
followed through with his word and has learned to use language in a way that evokes

Annabel Lee By Edgar Allan Poe
There is nothing in this world more satisfying than finding your life s partner or
your ultimate true love, but having to lose someone so special to you is
indescribably the worst feeling ever. In Edgar Allan Poe s poem Annabel Lee , the
author describes himself as a child who falls in love with a young woman named
Annabel Lee. Living In a kingdom by the sea (Poe Line 2), he and Annabel Lee
seem to be extremely happy and their love is quite intense. In fact, because of how
strong their love is for each other, Annabel Lee is murdered by the winged seraphs
of Heaven (Line 11) who have sent a wind that chills Annabel Lee to her death.
Devastated, the author refuses to give up on their love, believing that their souls are
intertwined and in order to show his unconditional love for her, he dreams of her and
sleeps next to her in her tomb every night. To maintain his claim that physical death
holds no dominion over love Poe uses theme, imagery/repetition, and symbolism
throughout the poem.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Falling in love In a kingdom by the sea (Line 8), the love of the author and Annabel
Lee is challenged by Annabel s death. The author strongly believes that their souls
are inseparable and that death isn t going to separate him from his love. He loves
her so much that he still sees her in his dreams and even sleeps with her in her tomb
every night. As love is presented throughout the poem, we sense a little envy as well.
The love between the author and Annabel Lee is so strong that the winged seraphs
of Heaven (Line 11) envy it and murder Annabel Lee. The extent of the seraphs envy
of the love between the two is shown in the poem when the author
Different Cultures And Values Of The United Scotia Nova...
We are all University Students that currently live in Halifax Nova Scotia, but have
all grown up in various places. Two of our members are from Ontario and the
remaining members from various parts of China. Given this geographical
separation, our group has some obvious diversity in our individual consumer
profiles. This is partly due to our different cultures and values. Our families also
greatly influence our contrasting consumer profile with our differing ethnical
backgrounds, different social classes and varying religions. Conversely, we all fit
into the age bracket of 18 25 so share some similar purchasing behaviour as
millennial consumers (Kardes et la., 2011, pg 38). We have all been apart of many
of the same world changes, such as 911 and global warming. This greatly sways
our prespective on which products we can identify with and our preferences.
Likewise, we all are at the same life stage (Kardes et la., 2011, pg 8). We are all
young adults, finishing up university and starting our independent lives with limited
disposible incomes. We tend to make most of our purchases online, allowing us to
find the best deals in the least amount of time. Most of us find that food is our
number one expense and value the bonds people make while sharing a meal. Many
of us find it difficult balancing our busy lifestyles and school, but work to covercome
these challenges. All of these inflencers guide our purchasing habits.

Self Esteem Leads To Success
How Self Esteem Leads to Success
The strongest factor for success is self esteem: Believing you can do it, believing
you deserve it, believing you can get it. by anonymous. Self esteem is the key to
success because without confidence you lose faith in yourself. Too much confidence
can affect your way to success also. Success is being comfortable with who you are.
According to Meaghan Ramsey in her TED talk Why thinking you re ugly is bad for
you she states that About six out of ten girls are now choosing not to (do the
activities that they like) because they don t think they look good enough . If girls
are choosing to give up on what they are good at because of their appearance, they
might think their whole life they are not good enough for any of their favorite
activities, or even what they always dreamed being in the future when they were
younger. She next claims that Thirty one percent, nearly one in three teenagers are
withdrawing from classroom debate. They re failing to engage in classroom debate
because they don t want to draw attention to the way they look. Teens are now being
afraid of participating in class because of what they think that other people judge
them. Students shouldn t be failing a class because of how they look, or what other
people think about them. Students should be proud to know the answer to a question
and be able to raise their hand without being afraid. This shows how self esteem
affects your way to success.

3.4 SSSC Controller
The controller for the SSSC can be isolated, generally, into two main controllers,
namely internal and external controllers. The main function of the internal controller
is to give the control signal to drive the gate pattern generator of the power converter
keeping in mind to generate a fundamental output voltage waveform with the desired
magnitude and phase angle in synchronism with the ac power system. The function
of the external controller, if exists, is to alter the reference signals which decides the
practical operation of the SSSC so as to accomplish the desired system performance.
The block diagram of the SSSC controller is represented in Figure 3.13.
A measurement block is utilized to get the vital variables to be handled in the control
procedure. The computation of the infused reactance is accomplished by separating
the infused voltage by the line current (rms values). The computed infused reactance
is then contrasted with the altered reference reactance (the sum of the reference
reactance
The Importance Of Grief Counseling
Grief counseling is a much needed field in the new millennia. As population grow
and expand, races collide in culture, religion, and grief. It is imperative that Pastors,
leaders, and average society understand the dynamics of grief and suffering. More
important, counselors must learn how to balance their lives and the ones they chose
to consul. Griefcounselors need to be compassionate, attentive, yet balanced in order
to be an effective treatment for their clients. Understanding how to conduct an
assessment and intervene with bereaved children, adolescents, adults, and families
are important skills for professionals working in the field of social work, nursing,
school and pastoral counseling, psychology, and other helping professions
(Pomeroy, Garcia). A grief counselor s main objective is to help individuals or
families reach closure over the loss or death of a loved one and begin the process
of restoring their lives to a productive means. Each client or family is different and
knowing how to connect with the client s culture and religious quarries can be
draining. Yet, respect of the client s ideology is essential to creating a healing
environment. First, grief counselors must be compassionate. As the care provided to
the dying has matured over the past 30 years with the establishment of the hospice
movement, as well as Right to Die societies, it was inevitable that a new wave of
writings would be needed to explain the process of dying to generations unfamiliar

Biggie s Legacy
A couple of weeks ago founder of Bad Boy Records Puff Daddy posted a couple of
videos of rappers such as Fabolous, Pusha T, Jadakiss, TIP, more spitting some
classic verses of his late friend hip hop legend The Notorious B.I.G. on Instagram
in memory of his passing on March 9th, 1997. Seeing those videos was just another
reminder of why one of Brooklyn s finest finds his way into a plethora of Top 5

Archetype In The Odyssey
Heroes, as depicted in literature, often undertake the most difficult tasks. They place
themselves in mortal danger in order to bring back knowledge and treasure for
themselves and their societies. Their stories follow what premier mythologist,
Joseph Campbell calls the Hero s Journey . The Hero s Journey archetype is the
typical sequence of events any herowill go through in order to become who he or
she is. As verbally stated by Campbell, a hero s journey will always start with the
departure, develop into the initiation and end with the return. Homer s The Odyssey
with Odysseusas its hero, is a classic example and closely follows the complete cycle
of the hero s journey. In The Odyssey, Odysseus goes through a tough departure from

Throughout this part of his journey, Odysseus transformed from an ordinary man
into an epic hero. One of the temptresses who causes Odysseus to delay his quest
was, Calypso, loveliest among goddesses, who confined Odysseus on his way
home and keeps him, in her smooth caves, to be her heart s delight (31). Even
though Calypso is a temptress, Odysseus does not abandon his initial quest to get
back home. However, Calypso does create a huge delay for Odysseus on his
journey. Odysseus also meets with the goddess during his initiation. For example,
when Odysseus went to the underworld he saw the soul of Anticlea, dead, / [his]
mother (615). In Greek mythology, the mother is considered a goddess and
although Odysseus loves his mother, but he can t grieve over her because he has to
complete his journey back home to Ithaca. The Ultimate Boon is the achievement
of the goal or quest. This can be found in The Odyssey when Odysseus states
Twenty years gone, and I am back again / on my own island (1051). He attains his
objective and has gained a new experience and understanding of life following all the
previous steps. After Odysseus completes his strenuous and grueling 20 year long
journey, he arrives back home to Ithaca to reunite with his family and his

Introduction
Our world today is based off of technology and one form of technology in particular
seems to control us more than we control it. Cell phones. The iPhone in particular is
one of the most popular forms of technology in the world. On June 29, 2007, Apple
released the first iPhone ever (Nguyen). The public had mixed feeling on the newest
touch screen phone, some thought it was a step towards a greater future in
technology and others thought it was too complicated and technology is moving too
fast for mankind. Little did we know that the iPhone would become the most popular

Apple has gone from the original iPhone released in 2007 to the new iPhone 6 and

ruled the smartphone world with a full keyboard and a rotating ball that you used to
control a mouse (McKeen, Price 5). The iPhone was the first true touchscreen phone
on the market that grabbed people s attention. Ever since the first release of the
iPhone, sales have increased every year for every new iPhone that Apple releases.
Figure 1: Growth in iPhone Sales
Ever since the release of the original iPhone, sales every quarter and every year
have continued to increase and they are expected to continue increasing. Apple has
always directed the design of their iPhones to be easy hand help devices. However,
HTC, Samsung, and Motorola have been producing smart phones with screens
around 5 inches while Apple produces iPhones around 4 inches (Mossberg). People
however, seem to like a bigger screens and iPhone soon realized that the iPhone had
one of the smallest screens on the market and people began moving to a larger
screened phone (Mossberg). With the iPhone in a steady competition with Samsung,
Motorola and other smart phone companies, Apple produced in many peoples
opinion, the best smartphone on the market (Mossberg). The iPhone 6 now contains

An Informative Essay On Dan Patrick s Radio Show
The Radio show that I covered was the Dan Patrick Show, which is a nationally
broadcasted radio show that is also syndicated on tv on the NBC sports network.
The show is hosted by Dan Patrick, one of the most well known and famed
broadcasters in Sportscenter history, as he enjoyed a very successful time working
for ESPN before transitioning into his radio career. His time spent at ESPN as well
as contributing to NBC with their NBC Sunday Night Footballcoverage certainly
indicates his vast sports knowledge and experiences that would indicate his
credibility in hosting a sports radio show. Also in 2013 USA Today s, The Big Lead
ranked the show number four, in its ranking of the top sports radio broadcasts.
What makes Dan Patrick and his show rather unique is how he provides a vast
array of content on his radio show. Typically when listening to sports radio, whether
it be a national show or local coverage they are very sport driven and focused, but
what Dan Patrick does is combine Hollywood and pop culture elements into his show
which keeps it entertaining and fresh. One thing which I feel draws more viewers and
customers to his content is that his coverage and content ... Show more content on

Examine and Assess How Political Order Is Made and
Repaired
Examine and assess how political order is made and repaired.
In this TMA I will examine and assess how political order is made mainly through
the state. In order to create, maintain and repair political order, the state needs
authority from its citizens to do so and this authority needs to be legitimate.
Legitimacy refers to a belief in the states rightness, its right to rule or the idea that its
authority is proper. I will then explain how today, legitimacy is closely linked to
democracy and it is through free and fair elections that the state receives legitimacy.
The degree to which individuals legitimise the state is varied and individuals or
groups of people can also engage critically with the state.
Creating political ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One way citizens can legitimise their relationship with the state is through citizenship
ceremonies however most citizens do not attend such ceremonies.
Many of the everyday practises and discourses of the state, its discourses, its symbols
and the ways in which state actors and institutions represent themselves to the people,
are involved in the process of legitimation; that is to say, the states claim of
legitimacy from its citizens. So through peoples everyday practises and activities like
paying taxes or taking the car for an MOT individuals are involved in the making and
remaking of the state. This is another way through which people legitimise the state.
However, one of the main ways individuals express their acceptance or rejection of
the state is through the ballot box. Elections provide a means for people to question
and reflect on this or that government policy, the adequacy of this or that
government agency, or the talents and policies of this or that party, candidate or
official. Today we would see free and fair democratic elections as the main, if not the
only, reasonable indicator of whether people have given express consent to those who
hold state derived power over them.
Its possible to see that state legitimacy is closely linked to democracy. This is
because through democracy the state claims legitimacy to rule over people in a
certain territory. Democracy is a form of political order few dare to oppose (Sen)

Lyddie is struggling to breathe and is exhausted. This leads some to say that she
must sign the petition. However, signing the petition could get her fired which will
make it almost impossible to reunite back with her family. When talking to her
roommates, Lyddie shares her own opinion on signing the petition. When talking,
her roommates mention that if you sign the petition they wouldn t have to work

the petition can decrease her payment which would make it even longer to reunite
with her family. When Betsy finishes reading to Lyddie they talk about what they

could get blacklisted, which means that no other mills would hire her. Being
blacklisted makes it difficult to reunite back with her family. It s tough working in

Public Key Infrastructure
Public key infrastructure, known as PKI supports the distribution and identification
of public encryption keys which allows users and computers to securely exchange
data over the internet and networks to confirm the identity of the other party. Without
PKI, sensitive information can still be encrypted and exchanged, but there would be
no assurance of the identity of the other party. Any form of sensitive data exchanged
over the Internet is reliant on PKI for security.
A standard PKI consists of several components: hardware, software, policies and
standards, administration, distribution of keys and digital certificates. Digital
certificates are at the heart of PKI as they confirm the identity of the certificate
subject and bind that identity to the public key contained in the certificate. A typical
PKI includes several key elements. A trusted party, known as a certificate authorityor
CA, acts as the root of trust and provides services that authenticate the identity of ...

The company can choose between using a public certification authority or operating

The in house approach provides the maximum level of control. Certificates and
keys can be made any time with little wait time. However, the cost of software
licenses, maintenance fees, and the expense to purchase and deploy the entire
supporting infrastructure can be big. Also add in training of a few employees or
hiring new ones with the needed skills. The cost will pay for its self eventually.
(Walder, Bob. July 2003)
Outsourcing the PKI service will allow for faster implementation. The initial cost is
low but will be continuous. There is no need for training or new employees.
Availability will be the key deciding component. Will the outsourced company be
available anytime? How long is the turnaround time when requesting a certificate?

The idea of this assignment is to talk about the importance of managing data in any
business activity, but specifically the one which is of most interest to us is related to
HR practices: how to act when we manage data, how to collect this information and
how to store the documents.
One of the reasons why an organisation needs to collect and record HR data is to
drive future business decisions within a company. Everything is based on the data
and directly affects the company s strategy and the company s needs.
Another reason to collect and record data is to comply with legal requirements and
legislation, for example the principle of equality. If we have in our HR department
adequate personnel records, we can make sure we are complying with the law and

Socrates s Dialogue And Dissemination
Peters expresses Dialogue and Dissemination as two half s of the same whole. They
are able to exist independently of one another, but are able to coexist peacefully and
aid in the understanding if used mutually. Socrates was a fierce believer in dialogue.
He believed that if something was not a one on one, face to face communication, then
it was impossible to attain knowledge. However, as Peters points out Dialogue is a
bad model for the variety of shrugs, grunts, and moans the people emit (among other
signs and gestures) in face to face settings. (Peters et al 34). Because Socrates was
only interested in using dialogue as a means of finding the truth, his version of the
truth is impossible to obtain.
Socrates version of the truth is impossible to obtain because he is basing it off of
the idea that somehow everyone interprets things the same way and unfortunately
that is not impossible. Especially because in Socrates version of truth and dialogue
he sees the other person he is communicating with as the obstacle that is preventing
him from obtaining the truth. Because we as people are not mind readers,
sometimes our language does not express what we have come to understand, and
therefore it is impossible to bring the other person to the same understanding that we
have achieved. In Socrates mind, the way to achieve truth is to bring both people to
the exact same level of understanding, however; as this is an impossible feat it is
impossible for anyone to truth achieve
Preeclampsia Pregnancy-Induced Syndrome
Preeclampsia/Eclampsia is a complicated pregnancy induced syndrome that usually
occurs after the 20th week of gestation. Together with gestational hypertension, the
continued presence of chronic hypertension, and the superimposition of preeclampsia
on chronic hypertension, preeclampsia is one of the four categories of hypertensive
disorders during pregnancy, which affect 5% 10% of all pregnancies [1].
Preeclampsia is a leading cause of maternal mortality and morbidity, as well as a
major cause of adverse effects on fetal well being both worldwide and in the US.
Specifically, one third of severe maternal morbidities, 10% 15% maternal death in
low /middle income countries and 15% of preterm birth is attributed to preeclampsia
[1 3]. The diagnostic criteria of preeclampsia has been changing during the past two

Acute pathological changes, such as organ hemorrhage and necrosis, to women with
preeclampsia will revert to normal soon after delivery, which suggests that unique
features of pregnancy lead to the change. Previous research supports that
preeclampsia is the consequence of reduced placental perfusion, which is suspected to
be caused by abnormalities in implantation and vascular remodeling. As a result, there
is reduced blood flow to organs other than the placenta, thus causing hemorrhage and
necrosis to multiple organ systems including liver, kidney, brain and intervillous space

Attributes Of God Within Classical Christian Theism
Chapter 2 Attributes of God in Classical Christian Theism
We continue our study of the history of God by looking at His attributes from a
number of different viewpoints. We will first examine the view of Classical Theism,
then the view of Freewill Theism, and finally that of Open Theism. We begin by
defining Classical Theism, also called traditional theism or Augustinian theism.
In a section entitled, The Classical Christian Concept of God, Francis Beckwith gives
a short definition of Classical Theism in See the God s Fall, 59 60:
Classical theism is the theism that has been believed in by most theists in Western
civilization. In particular, classical theism holds that God is (1) personal and
disembodied, (2) the creator and sustainer of all things, (3) omnipotent, (4)
omniscient, (5) omniscient, (6) immutable and eternal, (7) perfectly good and the
source of all moral values, (8) necessary, (9) the only God, (10) infinite, (11)
sovereign over all things, and (12) knowable but incomprehensible. .
In this paper, we will discuss only 5 of these attributes: omnipotence, immutability,
impassibility, timelessness and omniscience. Gregory Boyd summarizes these 5
attributes in his book Is God to Blame? (pp 42 43)
First, many theologians have assumed that if God is all powerful, omnipotent,
which the Bible clearly teaches (e.g., 1Chron 29:11; Jer 32:17; Mt 19:26; Rev 1:8;
19:6), that nothing in his creation can ever thwart his will. At the very least, it is
reasoned, God

Sacrificial Reinforcement In Behaviour
Efficacy of behaviour modification plans and differential reinforcement in behaviour
Behaviour modification (BM) plans rely on the individual s commitment to alter
their own behaviour through achievable milestones and reinforcement. It was
mainly used by therapists in the late 1970s early 1980s, with success in areas that
depended on the reinforcer. Recently, BM plans have been utilised to combat
widespread negative behaviours such as procrastination which is defined as any
aversive behaviour that can be caused by poor self regulation and underestimation of
tasks (Steel, 2007). Whilst a little is perfectly normal in life, those who seek
immediate satisfaction more regularly than others begin to display a pattern of self
harming behaviour that becomes detrimental in the long run. On the other hand,
study behaviour is defined as any behaviour that promotes learning without
distractions and avoiding tasks (Loftin et al. 2005). Recently, researchers looked at

cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) is an effective way to reduce procrastination

especially when reinforcers and punishers are contingent and valuable. It s important
that rewards are of some importance to the individual so that reinforcers can act as

Unavoidable Circumstance Analysis
Unavoidable Circumstances
My oldest daughter was married a couple of years ago in a picture perfect
ceremony followed by a fun filled reception. It was the wedding of her dreams, truly
the happiest day of her life. However, in the midst of a beautiful fairytale wedding,
there were moments of grief. She had been so proud planning to dance with both of
her fathers on her wedding day; she was doubly blessed with two amazing dads.
Unfortunately, a violent and unexpected virus struck her father shortly after the
ceremony and kept him from attending the reception. I watched helplessly as both of
their hearts were broken because he couldn t stay at his daughter s wedding and they
would not have the opportunity to share their much anticipated Father/Daughter
dance. They both grieved for a moment that would never happen. Grief can show up
when least expected. Sometimes grief will try to take dominance in a joyful situation
and ruin the wonderful memories that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The night the girls grandfather died was the event that brought this couple closer
together; creating a bond that would last forever. In that instant of her speech, my
heart painfully grieved for my dad. I, along with my mother, brother, the grandkids
and all the family and friends who knew The Lizard, missed him so greatly in that
moment. Unexpected grief returns in another form, nevertheless, it is grief
revisited. Before I realized, my tears of grief hit the table on one of the happiest
days of my life. In spite of this, as the maid of honor toasted the newlyweds, the
crowd once again turned to celebration and so did I. We all knew in our hearts that
absent fun loving grandfather would have been the life of the party! He would have
also been so proud of the love being celebrated, especially in his absence. The joy of
the occasion once again replaced the sorrow because we chose and allowed it
The Main Reasons Why Wars Start
War has always been a part of humanity ever since the dawn of modern humans.
Wars have started for various different reasons such as territorial disputes,
showcase of power, or a struggle between powers. There are many causes of wars
from the different levels of analysis examining the roots of the four levels such as
individual, state, interstate, and global level. The main reasons why wars start are
problems and conflicts in the state level of analysis. Problems within the state
eventually create wars. Different aspects of international affairs that may be
stressed in interpreting and explaining global phenomena define levels of analysis
in terms of International Relationships. The first level of analysis is the individual
level. The individual level of analysis reflects the perceptions, choices, and actions
of individuals, especially those who are in charge of foreign policy making. The
individual level analysis focuses on both liberal and realist assumption of human
nature. The liberal assumption of human nature saw humans as inherently good and
seek cooperation and to avoid conflict. The internal characteristics of states matters
and cooperation between other states are sought after. One such example of and
individual who are engaged in the more liberal aspect of foreign policy making in
terms of the individual level is President H.W. Bush, who created the Bush I Doctrine
and focused on multilateralism, which is a cooperative foreign policy approach to
managing shared

Background Jaap Schekkerman, the founder of IFEAD s, developed the Extended
Enterprise Architecture Framework (E2AF) in the early 2000 s. The E2AF is a
communication framework that is a blended framework which takes standards from
IEEE 1471, describes views and viewpoints of an architecture from a software

Zachman. E2AF is an architecture program that describes subjects and relations with
all key stakeholders. It helps address the topics and process steps needed to reach an
organizations overall goals and objectives (Schekkerman, 2006). The rules and
principles of E2AF are the fundamental elements when utilizing IFEAD s
architectural philosophy. The visualization translated by the principles and rules help
express the style of architecture. In addition, the principles and rules are related to
both the context of the architecture, the methods and approaches. In turn, the
approaches help define and describe the process roadmap for an architecture.
Schekkerman designed the framework to address the elements of construction,
function and style (Schekkerman, 2006). In particular, the enterprise deals with the
function and construction and the culture (including values and norms) deals with
the style. Major Architectural Issues Blended Framework Business Strategy Business

  • 3. Essay On The Great Battle Of The American Civil War The Great Battles of the American Civil War The Civil War, often called the War for Southern Independence began on April 12, 1861. The main cause of the war was slavery. The southern states depended on slaves to help grow crops which were the main source of income for the south. Slavery was illegal in all of the northern states but most people actually were neutral about it. The main conflict was if slavery should be permitted in the newly developing western territories. The first battle of the Civil War occurred on April 10, 1861 when Brigadier General Beauregard demanded the surrender of Fort Sumter. The commander of the fort, Major Anderson, refused. Two days later Confederate artillery came crashing down on the fort. On... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Johnston originally planned to attack Grant on April 4, but delays postponed it until the 6th. Attacking the Union troops on the morning of the 6th, the Confederates surprised them, routing many. Some Federals made determined stands and by afternoon, they had established a battle line at the sunken road, known as the Hornets Nest. Repeated Rebel attacks failed to carry the Hornets Nest, but massed artillery helped to turn the tide as Confederates surrounded the Union troops and captured, killed, or wounded most. Johnston had been mortally wounded earlier and his second in command, Gen. P.G.T. Beauregard, took over. The Union troops established another line covering Pittsburgh Landing, anchored with artillery and augmented by Buell s men who began to arrive and take up positions. Fighting continued until after dark, but the Federals held. By the next morning, the combined Federal forces numbered about 40,000, outnumbering Beauregard s army of less than 30,000. • 4. Biopolitical Control Of Specific Groups Of Women Essay Since the late 19th century, women s reproductive health choices in the United States have become increasingly controlled (Solinger, 2013). Abortion, contraceptives, sterilization and even pregnancy itself have become biological processes (Foucault, 2003) that place women in the public eye; their choices becoming the targets of policy and regulation (Solinger, 2013; Foucault, 2003). When these regulations are crafted, the assumption behind them is that they will affect all women equally (Pruitt Vanegas, 2015). However, there are various factors that change the way that policy and regulation of reproductive health affect women. My dissertation topic will focus on how biopolitical control of specific groups of women is achieved through broadly applied legislation targeting reproductive health. This includes legislation that targets access to abortion, defunds reproductive health care access providers such as Planned Parenthood, and that further medicalizes birth. My theoretical frameworks will center on the work of Patricia Hill Collins and Michel Foucault. To begin, Patricia Hill Collins work on intersectionality would provide an appropriate background to introduce how lived experiences are shaped by a culmination of different factors (Hill ... Biopolitics is a theoretical framework that states that individuals are not truly individual, but rather a group that can be controlled by entities such as governments through the regulation of biological processes including birth and death (Foucault, 2003). When legislation that controls reproduction is passed, it effects biopolitical control of women by controlling their biological processes (Foucault, 2003). When we combine biopolitics with intersectionality, we can examine how higher biopolitical control of certain groups of women is achieved through legislation that targets reproductive health care

Mirrors In Charlotte Bronte s Jane Eyre Human nature urges one to constantly glance at reflective glasses in order to confirm that the physical features presented to the society does not emerge with one s sinful, corrupted identity. In the Victorian Gothic novel Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, the presence of mirrors symbolizes Jane s corrupted identity, physically represented as Bertha: a rebellious, revolutionary, and dangerous being. Philosophy And The Modern Philosophy Upon talking about the history of modern philosophy, one of the most important philosophers, who is considered as the father of the philosophy in this period, is Descartes. He was a pioneer for the movement of the new trend of philosophy and became a break between the medieval philosophy and the modern philosophy. Being educated in the environment of medieval philosophy, specifically in the school of Jesuits, Descartes received the system of scholastic philosophy as his foundation for making a new start into the history of philosophy. In his life, Descartes tried to establish a system of philosophy which was suitable to the development of society and science. To do that, he did not collapse pre philosophical systems, but somehow he ignored their values. In his Meditations he says Once in my life I had to raze everything to the ground and begin again from the original foundations, if I wanted to establish anything firm and lasting in the sciences. Therefore, he just could begin a new system of philosophy which, he thought, would be a certain and firm foundation to get knowledge. However, to build up the principles for this foundation, Descartes had to use the concept of Godin his arguments. The existenceof God became an important means for the construction of his new philosophical system. Hence, I will emphasize on the importance of God in this paper by discovering the role of God as a means in Descartes main points of reasoning, particularly God with the method of

The proposed comprehensive, homogenous framework uses a set of Fuzzy Inference Systems to interpret, standardize and fuse heterogeneous data in order to estimate normalized factors. The FIS for affecting factor analysis is divided into four main components: the fuzzification, knowledge base, Inference engine, and the Defuzzification. Fuzzy logic controller has four components: 1) Fuzzification: It transforms input into suitable linguistic value so that can be compared to the rule in rule base. 2) Knowledge Base: It contains the knowledge in form of a set of rules to control the artificial system. Author Guthrie Ramsey states in Musing New Hoods that the music used in Do The Right Thing depicts a range of associations that include black male and female subjectivity, ethnic identity, a sense of location, emotional and mental states, a specific historical moment, and the perspectives of age groups (Ramsey 314). The various characters in Do The Right Thing such as radio host Mister SenМѓor Love Daddy (played be Samuel L. In one scene, Radio Raheem is shown in a confrontation with a group of Latinos playing Salsa music. Radio Raheem proceeds to blast his hip hop music at full volume in order to outplay the Latinos Salsa music. This is another example of how music is used in the film to display the ethnic identities of individuals, as well as the various emotional and mental states that music can create. In addition to hip hop music, Spike Lee implements a variety of music genres in Do The Right Thing in order to create a certain ambiance and feeling. The use of orchestral music throughout the film plays an important role in establishing specific emotions during scenes. Jazz and soul music are also used to display emotion during various exchanges between characters. According to Victoria E. Johnson, the music used in Do The Right Thing serves to convey a romanticized vision of community in the ethnically mixed neighborhood in which the story takes place (Ramsey 315). In Krush Grove, director Michael Shultz uses various musical performances to display the many aspects of hip hop culture and the African American experience. Similar to Do The Right Thing, Krush Grove s use of imagery and music help portray the ethic identities,

However, it is suspected that there are many side reactions, and the actual reaction stoichiometry is more complicated than that previously described. The type of side reaction depends on the exact nature of the reducing sugars. Different reducing sugars generally yield different color intensities; thus, it is necessary to calibrate for each sugar. In addition to the oxidation of the carbonyl groups in the sugar, other side reactions such as the decomposition of sugar also compete for the availability of 3,5 dinitrosalicylic acid(http://www.ehow.com /about_5244996_general use dinitrosalicylic acid.html). In this case, Wright sees the world from a different angle and can, therefore, interpret it from different sides. Learning from his mistake of speaking poor language to his grandmother, he vowed to learn the meaning of all the words he would speak. An Informative Essay On Dan Patrick s Radio Show The Radio show that I covered was the Dan Patrick Show, which is a nationally broadcasted radio show that is also syndicated on tv on the NBC sports network. The show is hosted by Dan Patrick, one of the most well known and famed broadcasters in Sportscenter history, as he enjoyed a very successful time working for ESPN before transitioning into his radio career. His time spent at ESPN as well as contributing to NBC with their NBC Sunday Night Footballcoverage certainly indicates his vast sports knowledge and experiences that would indicate his credibility in hosting a sports radio show. Also in 2013 USA Today s, The Big Lead ranked the show number four, in its ranking of the top sports radio broadcasts. What makes Dan Patrick and his show rather unique is how he provides a vast array of content on his radio show. Typically when listening to sports radio, whether it be a national show or local coverage they are very sport driven and focused, but what Dan Patrick does is combine Hollywood and pop culture elements into his show which keeps it entertaining and fresh. In this TMA I will examine and assess how political order is made mainly through the state. In order to create, maintain and repair political order, the state needs authority from its citizens to do so and this authority needs to be legitimate. Legitimacy refers to a belief in the states rightness, its right to rule or the idea that its authority is proper. I will then explain how today, legitimacy is closely linked to democracy and it is through free and fair elections that the state receives legitimacy. The degree to which individuals legitimise the state is varied and individuals or groups of people can also engage critically with the state. Creating political ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One way citizens can legitimise their relationship with the state is through citizenship ceremonies however most citizens do not attend such ceremonies. Many of the everyday practises and discourses of the state, its discourses, its symbols and the ways in which state actors and institutions represent themselves to the people, are involved in the process of legitimation; that is to say, the states claim of legitimacy from its citizens. So through peoples everyday practises and activities like paying taxes or taking the car for an MOT individuals are involved in the making and remaking of the state. This is another way through which people legitimise the state. However, one of the main ways individuals express their acceptance or rejection of the state is through the ballot box. Elections provide a means for people to question and reflect on this or that government policy, the adequacy of this or that government agency, or the talents and policies of this or that party, candidate or official. Today we would see free and fair democratic elections as the main, if not the only, reasonable indicator of whether people have given express consent to those who hold state derived power over them. Its possible to see that state legitimacy is closely linked to democracy. This is because through democracy the state claims legitimacy to rule over people in a certain territory. Democracy is a form of political order few dare to oppose (Sen) even if they

Public Key Infrastructure Public key infrastructure, known as PKI supports the distribution and identification of public encryption keys which allows users and computers to securely exchange data over the internet and networks to confirm the identity of the other party. Without PKI, sensitive information can still be encrypted and exchanged, but there would be no assurance of the identity of the other party. Any form of sensitive data exchanged over the Internet is reliant on PKI for security. A standard PKI consists of several components: hardware, software, policies and standards, administration, distribution of keys and digital certificates. Digital certificates are at the heart of PKI as they confirm the identity of the certificate subject and bind that identity to the public key contained in the certificate. • 33. Socrates s Dialogue And Dissemination Peters expresses Dialogue and Dissemination as two half s of the same whole. They are able to exist independently of one another, but are able to coexist peacefully and aid in the understanding if used mutually. Socrates was a fierce believer in dialogue. He believed that if something was not a one on one, face to face communication, then it was impossible to attain knowledge. However, as Peters points out Dialogue is a bad model for the variety of shrugs, grunts, and moans the people emit (among other signs and gestures) in face to face settings. (Peters et al 34). Because Socrates was only interested in using dialogue as a means of finding the truth, his version of the truth is impossible to obtain. Socrates version of the truth is impossible to obtain because he is basing it off of the idea that somehow everyone interprets things the same way and unfortunately that is not impossible. Especially because in Socrates version of truth and dialogue he sees the other person he is communicating with as the obstacle that is preventing him from obtaining the truth. Because we as people are not mind readers, sometimes our language does not express what we have come to understand, and therefore it is impossible to bring the other person to the same understanding that we have achieved. In Socrates mind, the way to achieve truth is to bring both people to the exact same level of understanding, however; as this is an impossible feat it is impossible for anyone to truth achieve

Previous research supports that preeclampsia is the consequence of reduced placental perfusion, which is suspected to be caused by abnormalities in implantation and vascular remodeling. We will first examine the view of Classical Theism, then the view of Freewill Theism, and finally that of Open Theism. We begin by defining Classical Theism, also called traditional theism or Augustinian theism. In a section entitled, The Classical Christian Concept of God, Francis Beckwith gives a short definition of Classical Theism in See the God s Fall, 59 60: Classical theism is the theism that has been believed in by most theists in Western civilization. In particular, classical theism holds that God is (1) personal and disembodied, (2) the creator and sustainer of all things, (3) omnipotent, (4) omniscient, (5) omniscient, (6) immutable and eternal, (7) perfectly good and the source of all moral values, (8) necessary, (9) the only God, (10) infinite, (11) sovereign over all things, and (12) knowable but incomprehensible. . In this paper, we will discuss only 5 of these attributes: omnipotence, immutability, impassibility, timelessness and omniscience. Gregory Boyd summarizes these 5 attributes in his book Is God to Blame? (pp 42 43) First, many theologians have assumed that if God is all powerful, omnipotent, which the Bible clearly teaches (e.g., 1Chron 29:11; Jer 32:17; Mt 19:26; Rev 1:8; 19:6), that nothing in his creation can ever thwart his will. Background Jaap Schekkerman, the founder of IFEAD s, developed the Extended Enterprise Architecture Framework (E2AF) in the early 2000 s. The E2AF is a communication framework that is a blended framework which takes standards from IEEE 1471, describes views and viewpoints of an architecture from a software intensive system and elements of FEAF and TOGAF and a matrix structure similar to Zachman. E2AF is an architecture program that describes subjects and relations with all key stakeholders. It helps address the topics and process steps needed to reach an organizations overall goals and objectives (Schekkerman, 2006). The rules and principles of E2AF are the fundamental elements when utilizing IFEAD s architectural philosophy. The visualization translated by the principles and rules help express the style of architecture. In addition, the principles and rules are related to both the context of the architecture, the methods and approaches. In turn, the approaches help define and describe the process roadmap for an architecture. Schekkerman designed the framework to address the elements of construction, function and style (Schekkerman, 2006).
