1. What kind of media institute might distribute your media product and why? By Jack Bird, Abi Risley And Adam Payne
2. What does a production company do? A production company is responsible for the creation of films, TV programmes and other forms of media. Stealth films, Cipher films and TMC Films are all the production companies that created ‘Kidulthood.’ We chose to insert this picture because it is one of the companies that produced ‘Kidulthood’ which we feel is similar to our film.
3. Distributors. Film distributors are responsible for getting films to exhibitions (cinemas) and releasing them to the public. Revolver Entertainment is one of the few companies that introduced ‘Kidulthood’ to the cinemas and got them to the general public. We have chosen this distributor because they have experience in distributing films of this genre and getting them good publicity.
4. Funding We chose The U.K Film Council to fund our film, because they have experience with funding films similar to ours. E.g. Kidulthood. They fund £15 million a year to invest across the development, production and completion of feature films.
