Immigration Without Assimilation
Immigration without assimilation
Immigration is a way to move from one country to another country. In Ethiopia s case immigration
is the incoming of refugees from Eritrea, Somalia, South Sudan and Sudan. The immigrants from
these countries are in seek of peace and stability. Generally, when their lives are in danger, they flee
to their closest safe country, Ethiopia. Most of these people walked to get to Ethiopia. According to
the UNHCR of the United nations, 850,000 refugees from neighboring countries residing in
Ethiopia and the country hosts the largest number of refugees in Africa. Ethiopia s immigration
without assimilation policy benefits the immigrants in national identities, cultures, and language
preservation and are most welcome to enter into the nation. So, national identity, culture and religion
are the three aspects of the immigrants are preserved due to Ethiopia s policy of no assimilation.
The first aspect that the immigrants are preserved due to Ethiopia s policy of no assimilation is
national identity. The refugees from Eritrea, Somalia, South Sudan and Sudan are having their own
national identities of their states. They have distinctive traditions and feelings they share with a
group of people about their nations. Here, the immigrants are displaced only from their homelands,
but with all having traditions and feelings about their countries. With their national identities, they
are moving far away from their homelands seeking for peace and stability as

The Wilmington Race Riot
Currently, there has been a major event occurring in the town of Wilmington, North Carolina
between citizens of many races, and many political parties, including the Republican Party,
Democratic Party, and the Populist Party. These parties had different political and racial views on
government policies, and who should rule. Wilmington is a strong religious community, and is the
center of African American political and economic success.
After the end of the Civil War, laws allowed blacks to get an education and were able to manage
their own businesses. Since the government created laws that allowed blacks to vote, there has
been some controversy between whites and blacks. A major event occurred called the Fusion
Coalition. When it was time to vote, people fused their voters and hoped to defeat the
Democratic Party by doing this. Propaganda and media is put up all over town to intimidate
people and make people believe certain things, based on what type of propaganda it is. People
have started to fall for these propaganda posters, and it causes people to believe whatever they see.
This sparked the current Race Riot because it actually led people to believe that blacks are bad and
that they should not have a say.

The North Eastern Mountain Bike Development Project
Australia is a developed country where developing takes place every day in different field to
enhance its quality. There 19 places enlisted by UNESCO World heritage that attracts the many
people from the globe to explore its beauty. But time have changes, people began to travel for
adventurous sports and for recreational. Keeping in mind, the project, the North Eastern
Mountain Bike Development project (NEMTB) has initiated. For that, business case has been
drafted. Business case is an argument typically documented which is proposed to persuade a
decision maker to approve some sort of activity or action. As a rule, it needs to express a clear
path to an appealing rate of profitability or return on investments. It is not limited to one area but
defines (a) what is the need of business? (b) What are the strategy and what benefits are
expected? (c) What are the problems for defined successful outcome? (d) Why a particular
option is preferred from among the others? (e) How funding will be provided or whether the cost
will be affordable? (f) What external resources will be sourced? (g) How long the benefits will be
delivered? (h) What risk are involved and how they will be managed? (i) What are the
recommendations and what is concluded? So, a business case document ought to look at
advantages and risk involved with and, on the other hand not taking the action. The conclusion
ought to be a convincing contention for execution. The Project, NEMTB is a partnership project

IIi.features Of A Smart Grid
III .FEATURES OF A SMART GRID
Reliability
The smart grid uses technology to self locate faults so their rectification is fast and sound. This self
healing property of smart grid makes it more reliable than the conventional grid. Main technology
used here is state estimation. Multiple routes are used in a smart grid which were used in the old
grid as well. But mostly they were radial in nature so that any failure can cause total failure of the
system and the current would be shunted to other elements.
Flexibility in network topology
Next generation grid technology would be far more flexible in transferring two way energy by
allowing for distributed generation from solar cells, fuel cells , electric vehicles, wind turbines .
Classic one way distribution is not that flexible to cater to problems when load is higher than the
generating end . By using smarter grid this is possible.
Efficiency
Numerous contributions to overall improvement of the efficiency of energy infrastructure are
anticipated from the deployment of smart grid technology, in particular including demand side
management, for example turning off air conditioners during short term spikes in electricity price,
reducing the voltage when possible on distribution lines through Voltage/VAR Optimization (VVO),
eliminating truck rolls for meter reading, and reducing truck rolls by improved outage management
using data from Advanced Metering Infrastructure systems. The overall effect is less redundancy in
transmission

Introduction
A man was running walking to his destination and came across a mountain. He could hear the
sounds of those who were chasing him. The mountain like a colossus stood defiantly in his path.
All that he had was a rope and no equipment to climb the mountain. It was either climb the
mountain or risk being caught. There was no other way to reach his destination. He looked at the
mountain and made a decision. He placed his hand upon the rock and started his ascent up the
mountain.
Some people saw the man climbing the mountain from a distance and laughed at him. The man
ignored his critics and moved upon the rock. Inch by inch, he climbed the mountain. Soon his hands
were sore, his feet hurting but he kept on climbing. He had no resources but his rope, his strength
and his mind. Many hours later, he stood upon the summit of the mountain. He did not climb the
mountain because the mountain was there. He climbed the mountain with no resources because he
had no choice.
Growth Hackers like the man climbing the mountain have to grow rapidly because they

Cesar Chavez Accomplishments
Cesar Chavez was a great man who touched the lives of many, founded the National Farm
Workers Association, was willing to die for his cause as an inspiration to many. Though I myself
cannot be this prodigious man, I can certainly do my best to make him proud. Therefore, I would
like you to contrive in yourself, as I have in mine, the qualities of this great man which elicit his
success. To begin, Cesar Chavez launched his career with a community service organization, then
risked his life during hunger strikes, worked his way towards making change and ultimately
succeeded in his valiant efforts by the time of his death in 1993. First, Cesar began his career in
labor organizing in 1952 when Father Donald McDonnell and Fred Ross recruited him

If the items in the front are folded and coordinated then customers are attracted and more likely to
buy. Usually the beginning stands display new clothing to excite their customers of the new trends
and inventory they should check out. Tables are placed in the front so that customers can easily
access the clothing they are looking for. They also give some examples of what they could find
behind the stands. For example, if the clothing on the tables has neatly folded sweaters, then the
clothing racks behind would have the same sweaters and pants that would match. Big displays of
mannequins were placed around the stores in order to attract customers to that certain brand. The
models would be wearing outfits with the clothing only pertaining to that brand. When looking for
that outfit at times, they would make it convenient and placed all the clothing in the same area so
that the customers could easily just buy the outfit. Another way they would set up the clothing is
that they would scatter in different parts of the outfits around the brands space in order to get
customers to look for it and also see different articles of clothing that may interest them. Starting
from the right Macy s built up the outfit from socks to head wear then to clothing, shoes, and lastly

Comparing The Characters In Ray Bradbury s The Paterson...
In Ray Bradbury s fictional novel about the horrifying future, he discusses topics that, politically
and socially, can relate to Judith Ortiz Cofer s short story; The Paterson Public Library. These two
pertain to each other because both Bradbury s and Cofer s characters are afraid of situations that
involve books. Though they do compare in many ways, there are also differences between the
stories.
Cofer says that every trip to the library would be a dangerous one because of the black girl
Lorraine. It took me through enemy territory, says Cofer. Bradbury s character Montag was
afraid of being seen with books because they were illegal and he was afraid that he would be
burned for having them. In a similar manner, Cofer was afraid of being in a situation on her way
to get her books. She was afraid that the older bully would hurt her.
Montag is more hostile when he takes action in Bradbury s novel. Cofer does not take action, she is
a tutor for her bully and she cannot get through to the bully. Bradbury s bully, it turns out, is one of
Montag s friends. Beatty is a friend of Montag in the beginning of Bradbury s novel, later in the
story, though; ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Cofer preserves her intelligence and gains intelligence through the use of books. This could
show students that books are a great way to acquire knowledge instead of just school. Bradbury
hints at the way we used books in our society and abuse them today. We do not appreciate the
way that they are mistreated and basically left to rot in the unused libraries. Since we treat books
very wrong and don t use them to gain knowledge and explore the depths of our imagination,
Clarisse asks a very simple, yet deep question; Are you

The Golden Booklet Of The True Christian Life
God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, therefore a predetermined path of righteousness
or condemnation is contradictory to the core values of Christianity, as it eliminates the need for the
will to be saved by Christ. This shows that God does not control our actions, in hopes that we live
in accordance to him.
In The Golden Booklet of the True Christian Life, author John Calvin explains that our actions do
affect our relationship with God. He says, It is God s own glory that he cannot have anything to do
with iniquity and uncleanness, (Calvin, 17). God would not be able to be with us if we lived a
complete life of inconsideration to him that would be an uncleanly life. A Christian is called to be
as much like Jesus as they possibly can. Jesus never made compromises, he didn t ever say I am the
son of God so I can live how I want. For it is unlawful for you to make a compromise with God: to
try to fulfill part of your duties and to omit others at your own pleasure, (Calvin, 22). If Jesus had
made compromises he would probably not have dies for the sins of human kind. ... Show more

This world in which all human kind lives in is distorted and filled with sin but we are called to
choose to not give in to the sin, to not conform to the work around us and prove our faith is
stronger than our sinful desires. God does not control what we choose to do, he may put
situations in ones lives that will test ones faith but the person themselves is in control of their fate
and what will come from the challenge that lies ahead. Calvin states, The Lord has still another
reason for afflicting his children: to try their patience and to teach them obedience, (Calvin, 52).
God would not try a persons patience or teach them obedience if God knew exactly what would
happen, because it is in those trials that he does not know what will

The Treatment Of Pregnant Women
When it comes to childbirth many women say it is the best experience they go through in life.
But women who are in prison say other wise. Being pregnant and locked up is one of the worse
and hardest experience in life for them. It is not because they are pregnant in prison but it is the
treatment they receive before and after the birth. Some of the women say they get great treatment
but others say the treatment is horrid.People in the real world are debating if the treatment of
pregnant women in prison is proper or if the treatment needs to be changed for the good or for the
bad. For starters, 80% of the women who are in prison is due to the usage of drugs . At least 66

The doctors have to see what drug they are on , but the main reason for the testing is to get see if
the women are pregnant or if they have any serious health issues. Once finding out the women
are pregnant the prison systems tell the ladies and schedule them a due date. This is good , but
the bad thing is they are put in the prison with every other women. One would think since they
are pregnant the prison system would separate them but no they do not. Pregnant women have
to do every task the other women do. Like cleaning and cooking. The women that are in the clean
task might not realize this but they are inhaling toxic chemicals. But this does not happen in
every prison. For example there is a prison in Ohio that separates the soon to be mothers from
the other inmates. These soon to be mothers are not in the same conditions as the other women.
They are in bright colored rooms and they read a lot to get ready for when their baby is born
(Leone 12). There are only 5 other states in the united states that have a program like in Ohio
(Gormsen 14). Knowing there are only six states that have this program, that means there are forty
four states that have pregnant women working in extreme conditions and possibly harming their
child because of the prison system . Even though it is a 50 /50 chance if the prison the women
attends is a good

The Maltese Falcon By Dashiell Hammett Essays
Dashiell Hammett s novel, The Maltese Falcon, is a hard boiled detective novel; a subset of the
mystery genre. Before the appearance of this sub genre, mystery novels were mainly dominated by
unrealistic cases and detectives like Conan Doyle s Sherlock Holmes. As Malmgren states, The
murders in these stories are implausibly motivated, the plots completely artificial, and the characters
pathetically two dimensional, puppets and cardboard lovers, and paper mache villains and
detectives of exquisite and impossible gentility. (Malmgren, 371) On the other hand, Hammett tried
to write realistic mystery fiction the hard boiled genre. In the Maltese Falcon, Hammett uses

more than I could ever offer you, if I must bid for your loyalty. Spade laughed. His laughter was
brief and somewhat bitter. That is good, he said, coming from you. (Hammett, 57) this clipped,
laconic style was considered to be highly realistic and appropriate around the time this work was
written. Also, Hammett s objective point of view plays hand in hand with that literary style,
such as how Spade is shown to be calmly rolling a cigarette after the news of Archer s death

The clipped, laconic and objective style puts emphasizes on objects and actions, allowing readers
to decide for themselves the characters reactions and consciousness. Coupled with the usage of real
life underworld slang, Hammett is able to bring this fiction closer to reality. Even disregarding the
language and style, he also uses characters to symbolize events that have

A Study On The Hydrological Cycle
II. Literature survey A.The Hydrological Cycle The central focus of any hydro meteorological
study is the hydrological cycle shown in Figure 2.1. The hydrological cycle has no beginning or
end and its many processes occur continuously (Chow et al., 1988). In describing the cycle, the
water evaporates from ocean and land surface to become part of atmosphere; water vapour is
transported and lifted in the atmosphere until it condenses and precipitates on the land or the
oceans. Precipitated water may be intercepted by vegetation, becomes overland flow over the
ground surface, infiltrate into the ground, flow through the soil as subsurface flow and discharges
into streams as surface runoff. The infiltrated water may percolate deeper to recharge
groundwater, later emerging as spring and seeping into streams to form surface runoff and finally
flowing into the sea or evaporating into the atmosphere as the hydrological cycle continues. Figure
2.1 Elements of the hydrologic cycle (freeze and cherry 1979) It is noted that though the concept
of the cycle seems simple, the phenomena are enormously complex and intricate. It is not just one
large cycle but it is rather composed of many interrelated cycles of continental, regional and local
extent. The major achievement and objectives of the rainfall runoff modelling is thus to study a
part (section) of the hydrological cycle, namely the land phase of the hydrological cycle on a
catchment scale. Then the problem becomes to express the

Technology And Learner Centered Environments
Teachers are no longer taking the traditional I do, We do, You do approach to learning in education.
Instead, teachers are being encouraged to construct a You do, We do, I do approach with the
infusion of technology and learner centered environments in order to meet the needs of all learners
needs to drive instruction. One model that has gained attention is the flipped learning classroom.
Flipped learning environments were developed by two rural Colorado chemistry teachers, Jonathan
Bergmann and Aaron Sams, because students were missing the end of day classes to travel to other
schools for events. Bergmann and Sams began recording their lectures, demonstrations and

Flipped classrooms foster an increase in student engagement and collaboration while gaining 21st
century learning skills.
Student Engagement
While there is no step by step model of flipped learning, one of the main goals of this learning
approach is to increase levels of engagement. Getting students authentically engaged in their
education is an important component to increasing student success (Unruh, Peters Willis 2016).
One component of authentic engagement can be defined as a student s perseverance or persistence
in the face of adversity according to Schletchy (2005). In a recent study of a flipped classroom vs. a
traditional classroom in Texas, the teacher reported students were 100% engaged in their
assignments which normally does not happen in a traditional classroom setting . The teacher
reported students asking more questions and being eager to build upon concepts taught the night
before. Students were taking ownership of their learning. At home, students are able to chunk their
learning which results in more effective and efficient task completion (Brown, Jacobsen Mazur
2015). Students are able to view lessons at their own leisure and break content into small chunks
when necessary. Student engagement not only increases at home but in the classroom as well. The
students were highly engaged because they pushed through difficult concepts knowing they would
not be left alone to figure them out; teacher support

everyone who escapes from the building after the bombs detonated, and they had expected to be

minutes. Afterwards, after roaming the school for a short amount of time, they returned to the
library where most of their victims had died, set off one final bomb, and committed suicide by
shooting themselves. Although their bombing failed, the ensued shooting resulted in a new era of
school violence and had left a lasting impression on the world. However, by the end of the day, the
horrifying incident was falsely blamed on bullying, the popular Goth

Statistic Epidemic
Although many will believe that this is an issue that will not affect them, the 10 million statistic

People often expect a rigorous antibiotic treatment with some of the smallest ailments that will often
pass through with the help of the human body s immune system. However, a study conducted in
Sweden was able to investigate the public s willingness to work with doctors to mitigate antibiotic
resistance. The results from the study have proved to be quite optimistic in a population size of
1,025 participants. Numerous of these people who trusted their doctor and were adequately
educated on antibiotic resistance had been willing to put off a prescription of antibiotics in a
range of 1 5 days in order to create less of a need for them. When the public understands what
weight antibiotics carry when they are used and when their is an established trust between them and
medical professionals, less antibiotics will be consumed as demonstrated by this study (Björn 249

impotence of antibiotics will be made. When people are actually prescribed antibiotics, they must
follow every instruction given to them by their physician. This includes completing the entire
course of the drug they are administered, taking the drug at punctual intervals daily, and not sharing

Anzia Yezierska’s Novel, Bread Givers Essay
Anzia Yezierska s 1925 novel Bread Givers ends with Sara Smolinsky s realization that her father
s tyrannical behavior is the product of generations of tradition from which he is unable to escape.
Despite her desire to embrace the New World she has just won her place in, she attempts to
reconcile with her father and her Jewish heritage. The novel is about the tension inherent in trying
to fit Old and New worlds together: Reb tries to make his Old Worldfit into the new, while Sara
tries to make her New Worldfit into the Old. Sara does not want to end up bitter and miserable like
her sisters, but she does not want to throw her familyaway all together. Her struggle is one of trying

Reb holds the sanctity of his religion so deeply that he will not even consider getting a job as a
Rabbi because he believes it would turn him into a false prophet selling his religion to
Americanized Jews (111). Even after he is tricked into buying the grocery store, he insists that
everything that happens is from God, for our good (125). Reb loves America for being the land
of opportunity, where can start with nothing and end up becoming a millionaire like
Rockefeller; but he despises it for granting too much to women: Woe to America where women are
let free like men (205). Sara has wanted to get away from her family her entire life: I was always
saying to myself, if I ever had a quarter or a half dollar in my hand, I d run away from home and
never look on our dirty house again (22). But the instant she does have this money, her only
desire is to go home and show everyone what she is capable of achieving. This is the essence of
Sara s struggle: her aspiration to become a teacher stems from her desire to prove to her family,
specifically Reb, that she, as a woman, has worth in and of herself (155). She signs up for
classes wanting a quick education in exactly the same manner Reb buys the grocery store (162).
She is filled with an intense desire to succeed as quickly as possible, as though were she not to
become a teacher as quickly as possible, it would not happen at all. She does not even wait to fix up

Professionalism Research Paper
In this paper, I would like to begin with my understanding of professionalism. When thinking of a
profession, the first occupation that pops up in my mind is lawyers. The reason is because my
projected image of lawyers is that they process specific legal knowledge, which most people do
not have. So I think the first element of a professionis to gain a particular area of knowledge, usually
through higher education. Professionals initially distinguish themselves among the others by being
able to absorb complex and sometimes abstract concepts. Most professions require licenses and
certificates, which further distinguish themselves. After having the technical knowledge, a true
professionalalso needs relevant practical experience to demonstrate the application of his
knowledge and skills.
Secondly, I believe professionals have great autonomy in performing their duties. They usually
make decisions based on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most professions have codes of conduct from their associations and they are required to follow
the codes. Some professions may be self regulated, and some are overseen by a government
agency. Ethics is essential for professionals, because they usually provide public services. If they
behave unethically, the community they serve and the society will be negatively affected.
Violations to codes of conduct often result in undesired consequences, such as revocation of
licenses and dismissal.
The last element of professionalism, in my understanding, is positive general public image. The
public usually perceives professionals as well educated, civilized and generally have higher social
status. They make decent salaries, and perhaps have their own practices. Even though we are all
taught to respect any occupation, we cannot deny the fact that most people tend to show more
respect to a lawyer than to a customer service representative, for

The Structure Of Dracula
COUNT DRACULA FREEDOM FROM FANDOM is a light hearted fantasy tale that brings to life
the iconic characters from many novels and films about Dracula and the other monsters.
There s no doubt that the strength of this script is the ensemble cast of colorful and offbeat
characters, especially Dracula, Frankenstein, and Wolfie. Together they feel like iconic, authentic
friends and it s fun to watch them interact with each other.
However, with that said, the overall script would benefit from more development. One of the
concerns about the script is the structure, including the goal, the pace, and the tension. The overall
plot doesn t feel goal focused.

John Harker is believable as the man who thinks he s in charge, only to realize Mina is controlling

payoff of this around page 103.
There are a lot of identified demons or monsters. Mina appears to be the main one, but one doesn t

It s also interesting that Lucifer isn t a very strong character in the story. His introduce feels too

Gas Masks During World War I
On October 1914, Germany gassed Britain at Neuve Chapelle, but this did not have much
impact. Later, on 31 January 1915 the first biggest known gas attack was made by Germany to
Russia. The generals had calculated over 18,000 shells fired that had contained liquid xylyl
bromide tear gas. Because of the cold weather the liquid, instead of vaporizing, froze and did not
get the best results for Germany. Ever since then, countries are trying to make better poison gasses
and to counter this, countries have to make better, much more efficient gas masks. By 22 April
1915, Germany struck again with poison gas but this time with chlorine. The wind helped get the
chlorine to the French territories. The Triple Entente, which is Great Britain, France, Russia
claimed that what Germany did was a violation of international law. Germany disagreed saying
that the Hague treaty had only banned chemical shells, not the use of gas projectors. On The
Second Battle of Ypres , it was reported that 90 men died from gas poisoning in the trenches, out of
the 207 near the dressing stations forty six out of the fifty eight died almost immediately. The
British expressed their anger they made their own poison gas. The commander of II Corps,

Acute Pain Case Study
Acute pain В· Extreme pain is due to the hypoxic environment that results from the occlusion of
capillary beds within tissues by sickled RBCs. This sickling is due to the polymerization of HbS in
low oxygen environments occluding tissues and causing local hypoxic environments. Inflammation
is indicated as the trigger for this process in many cases. Experimental studies in transgenic HbS
homozygote mice using hypoxia and inflammatory drugs showed occlusion of the postcapillary
venules due to increased interactions between leukocytes, RBCs, and the vascular endothelium. In
addition, precapillary obstruction is observed in sickled RBCs with especially high [HbS] and
increased interactions between the vascular endothelium and RBCs. The tissue damage that results

Preventing Postpartum Depression
Hello, Muna thank you for your post. I am glad to hear that you experienced minimal medical
problems while pregnant. However, you and I both were surprised to read the effects of inadequate
nutrition while pregnant. Likewise, we learned specific cheeses and dairy products to avoid during
pregnancy. According to the National Honor Society (NHS), pregnant women should avoid soft
cheeses because they often contain listeriosis. The term Listeriosis occurs when foods eaten
become contaminated with bacteria. However, it safe to eat hard cheeses made from pasteurized
milk. In the article titled Listeria and Pregnancyat American pregnancy.org, it shares a pregnant

vomiting). However, during the third trimester of pregnancy, the immune system is suppressed.
Therefore, the best way to determine if a pregnant woman is ill from listeriosis is to take a blood

About Love By Danielle Crittenden Analysis
In About Love , by Danielle Crittenden, she argues that women can only be happy in a
marriage, if they set aside what she sees as misleading feminist ideas about having equal rights
like man do, yet still being married to a man. I agree with the author that misleading ideas of
feminism can cause a doubt about getting married too early or too late. A few reason that women
are not sure about being married and still claim to be feminist is due to the worrying about being
lonely, feeling that she will be looked down upon by her peers, and are trying to do things that
could have been done far too later in her life. When a womanis considered a feminist she believes

within such endeavors (He, Brian and William, 2010). Various software developments require the

The authors of the article consider a team to be an association of two or more individuals working

The Causes And Uses Of Homeschooled Students In Society
Why is it that we rarely acknowledge homeschooled students for who they are in this society? Is
it because they are different from the run of the mill students that attend public schools? It could
very well be that they are misjudged because so many people are not informed on
homeschooling. If so, the majority of homeschooled students around the nation feel like outsiders
simply because society has not taken the time to understand and provide for them. But, one
should not feel ashamed as around 3.4% of the all K 12 students in America are homeschooled,
(Ray). It is reasonable for such a small population to feel like a group of outsiders when everyone
else has not been apart of this experience. Fortunately, there are various methods of tackling this
problem; diagnosing this issue is the most beneficial of all. Thus, homeschoolers are outsiders
because others do not fully understand the setting they are taught in, the education they receive, and
the reasons behind why they are being homeschooled in the first place. Children who are
homeschooled tend to be outsiders because people misjudge them based on the setting they are in.
It is believed that homeschoolers do not receive the same kind of socialization that students in
public schools do. As a result, they are treated differently because of the setting they were taught in;
it is completely different from that of a public school. Secondly, there is a misconception that
homeschoolers do not participate in the outside world,

You must be clear of the E to P link (performance clarity) What constitutes good performance?
You must have a clear linkage of P to O.
Your needs (intrinsic/extrinsic) determine how much you value the outcome.
To create the P to O link:
Gainsharing
Pay for performance at a business unit level.
Ex. improve a measure like costs and split the gains above the baseline.
Skill Based Pay
Technological Skills
Social Skills
Managerial Skills
Your pay increases after you achieve each skill block.
When coupled with gainsharing, the motivation comes originally to learn a new skill, then to turn
those skills into improved performance.

Research Paper On Cabernet Sauvignon
Enjoying a good wine these days can be a daunting challenge. There are some terrific wine
inventories popping up in our local grocery stores across the country. The more these wine
inventories amass at some of the super shopping centers, the larger number of amateur wine
consuirs there will be with questions of which wineto serve with particular meals.
Hopefully I can offer some helpful tips to improve your overall wine experience. There really is
nothing much more enjoyable in the culinary arts as the pairing of a sumptuous wine with an
elegant dinner.
Cabernet Sauvignon some consider to be the king of reds. A big structured, dark fruited wine, the
best of which become even more elegant with age. The swirl and taste brings out the flavors ...

Then there are others that tend to have a bit more of a wild berry and herbs flavor, they tend to be
a bit darker and heavier in texture.
Personally I enjoy a nice Merlot with a hearty red meat but others seem to feel it pairs best with
lamb, a more meaty fish such as salmon or tuna. Your dishes can be complimented with black
olives, fresh herbs, mushrooms, berries and dried cherries. A tender, milder cut of beef, such as a
tenderloin makes for an excellent choice when serving a Merlot. I always found it most enjoyable
to take a bite of the tenderloin and then a sip of Merlot and let the flavors just mesh on the palate.
When it comes to choosing a wine to serve with particular meals there are some basics that you
should follow to get the most enjoyment from the wine. Be certain to sample different makers of
the same type wine as you will find a difference in flavors and dryness. Most of all make your wine

Psychology is the very important perspective for human nature. It is very much important for the

(Freud, Civilization) They also said a person does not stop developing after they turn eighteen.
Freud did develop another theory that many authors have described in their literary works, which
included the Id, Ego, and Superego. The Id, Ego, and Superego dealt with how the mind worked
conscientiously and unconsciously. It also described the behavior of the human body and why
we do the things we do. Freud was a real pessimist when it came to human nature. He identifies
mans weaknesses in saying that man is a biological creature with biological drives. He reflected
these ideas off of Darwin s original ideas. (Freud, Civilization) Another big work is of
Dr.Victor.E.Frankl regarding the Humanistic Psychology. There arises the concept of the forces.
(runet.edu) The First Force systematically excluded the subjective data of consciousness and much
information bearing on the complexity of the human personality and its development. The Second
Force emerged out of Freudian psychoanalysis and the depth psychologies of Alfred Adler, Erik
Erikson, Erich Fromm, Karen Horney, Carl Jung, Melanie Klein, Otto Rank, Harry Stack Sullivan
and others. These theorists focused on the dynamic unconscious the depths of the human psyche
whose contents, they asserted, must be integrated with those of the conscious mind in order to
produce a healthy human personality .The third blow came to be about through the psychoanalysis.

Atoms Within Magnets
All magnets produce their own invisible magnetic field that s unable to be seen with the naked
eye, and each magnetic field interacts with other magnetic fields. Magnets are made of metals like
iron ore, iron, or alloys, which is a mixture of metals, or of a metal and a nonmetal. Magnets only
react with certain metals such as iron, steel, nickel, or cobalt. They have two poles, one of them is
north pole, while the other is called the south pole. The opposite poles attract, while the same ones
repel one another. Everything is made of atoms, and magnets are no exceptions (Rutledge,
McDaniel, Boudreau, Ramroop, Teng, Sprout, Costa, Hall, Hunt, 2012). Atoms within magnets

Essay On Italian Food
Few things identify Italians as well as food, the cross cultural consumption of Italian cuisine is a
significant marker of the way in which others see and imagine Italy and the Italians. Food is
cultural artifact. The Italian culture lives to eat. Where as, the American culture eats to live. Food
is a way of life in Italy, not just a way to survive.
It s no doubt that Americans would like to be a part of such a wonderful culture. In the United States
of America, Italian food makes up a large percentage of the food market. But, there is a difference
between Italian food, Italian American food, and plain old food pretending to be Italian. So what
are Americans eating? Is it authentic? This paper will cover what authentic really means to Italian
food, how Italian American culture is different than traditional Italian culture, and ultimately how
these differences and the exploitation of Italian American culture has led to the American public s
mislead view of what is Italian.

What Is The Election Of 1912 Slogan
Presidential Election of 1912 In the presidential election of 1912 the Democrat Woodrow
Wilson, Progressive Theodore Roosevelt, Republican William Howard Taft, and Socialist
Eugene Debs all had their opposing views on the issues that concerning the future of democracy
in America. Some of the issues were; the Conservation of Natural Resources, Direct Democracy,
Labor, Race, Tariff, Trusts and Regulation of Business, and votes for Women. Majority of the
people desired change, as would I if I were to have lived during this time period . My vote would
have been for Theodore Teddy Roosevelt, as the change he promises is fair compared to the
other candidates. Labor would be one of the issues that would be most important to me as a
voter. Working is part of life, it s necessary to be able to provide for your family. In 1912, the
working conditions were not safe or healthy. The long working hours, the dangerous work space,
the low pay all would make people desire change. As a voter, I would want to know that in the
future I would be safe at work with good pay to be able not to live in poverty. There were many
strikes that occurred, demanding change in labor in 1912. In the Lawrence Strike, people fought
for higher wages, shorter hours, safer working conditions, regulation of woman and child labor,
and workmen s compensation. Another issue that would be important to me as a voter would be
the tariff. The Tariff is a source of federal revenue. It s a way for the United States

Creon s Determination In Sophocles Antigone
Antigone is a play by Sophocles which embellishes the rivalry between Creon who stands for the
state values and Antigone who stands for family values, the start at the end of a battle between
Polyneices and Eteocles, brothers of Antigone and Ismene. The two siblings kill each other, and
this makes Creon new king of Thebes. Moreover, Creongladdens trueness above anything else, and
he cannot stand disloyalty or watch at the state rules being broken mainly by a woman. Contrarily,
Antigonecherishes personal conscience and love for her brother which transcends state laws
irrespective of any situation that befall her. Antigone s incredible brevity makes her deserve our
admiration for her resolve and determination, (Goheen, Robert F page 45). In this essay, I will
exemplify some of the reasons as to why Antigone really ought to have our admiration for her
resolve as well as determination. In addition to this, I will conclude by giving my views based on
the entire essay.
Main discussion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Antigone bewails Creon s order that anyone who attempts to mourn or bury Polyneices must be
stoned to death. Some argue that Antigone ought to be the chief protagonist. To buttress this point,
they argue that her name is used as the title of the play. However, what they fail to consider is that
Sophocles intentions in the play were to highlight Antigone and her soon to be a deadly clash with
Creon hence the fundamental title, Antigone. Analytically speaking, Creon does to be regarded
Tragic hero instead of Antigone. There is no doubt as to the ultimate nature of the work, that being
tragedy. Along the play s genre comes specific developed prerequisites and Creon is the only
character in the play that substantially fits them all, (Goheen, Robert F page

Article Comparison Essay
In comparing and contrasting two articles which analyze and evaluate ethics in business, the
impact of corporate social responsibility and ethical behavior by corporation and their managers
can be understood by the public perception documented in a survey of Hawaiian residents, as well
as the argument of negative value to consumers when self interest and lack of ethicsare part of an
organization s business model. The survey results in Choy s article demonstrate the impression of a
decline in corporate ethical behavior over the past twenty years. Both articles use the environment
of competition to discuss the characteristics of ethical and moral behavior in the corporate realm.
The recommendation based on the evaluation of information in the two articles is for business
organizations to employ ethical and moral practices that include the values of society, and use
traditional moralityin all business dealings. The value of corporate social responsibility will be
acknowledged and appreciated by consumers, and both economic and social gains can be achieved.
Ethical and Unethical Behavior in Business
Introduction
The two articles provided for comparison, How Consumers Perceive The Ethical Conduct of
Businesses And Their Managers by Derrek Choy, and Reconciling Traditional Morality and the
Morality of Competition , by Adam D. Bailey, both analyze ethical and unethical behavior in
business, and conclude that moral and ethical standards in business actions are not only

The Minoans and Mycenaeans Essay
The Minoans and Mycenaeans were both from the Greek era. They differentiated quite a bit
between each other. While the Minoans were peaceful people, the Mycenaeans were brutal and
warlike. These two civilizations help the people of today learn about ancient culture. Although the
two places were varied much from one another, the cultures wrote the most understandable
historical evidence about themselves. This paper will tell how these close regions compared and
contrasted. The Mycenaeans existed within the years of 2000 b.c. It began with the people settling
around the coastal area to provide good agriculture. This coastal area being near the Mediterranean.

These gods are still educationally known today. The Minoans were named after King Mino, and
originated from the island of Crete, which was more Asian than it was European. This island
was based around merchants and trades, the Minoans top quality. The civilization gained much
power from sailing to nearby islands and mainlands while dealing with the people there. Crete
was a very fertile farming land, that was perfect for growing props. Because the land was so
plentiful with nutrients, it was easier for the Minoans to reproduce and create a larger
population. Eventually the population became so large, the land was stripped of agriculture.
People sailed to nearby islands of the Aegean Sea and began lives there as well. The culture of
the Minoans spread throughout the lands, the religion, and their government also were spread.
While spreading their knowledge, the civilization became very advanced sailors. They became
exporters of wine, oil, jewelry and finely crafted works. The Minoans peaceful nature had them
focusing on art. They excelled at pottery, and shaping stones into jewelry. The architecture on
buildings were defined and well thought over as well. Along with art, they had a knack for
writing, typically it helps us figure out what a civilizations history was like. The Minoans
explained little about their way of life in their writings which were called Linear A, Linear B, and
Phaestos Disc. However, Minoans religion was not

This article develops a conceptual model to explain how culture impacts negotiation . It draws on
previous research on culture and on negotiation to develop an understandin g of how culture affects
negotiation processes and outcomes. The article begins with a review of fundamental concepts in
the literature on negotiation and culture. These concepts provide a language for what we know and
what we do not know about culture and negotiation and allow us to build a model of factors
affecting inter cultural negotiation process and outcome.
A MODEL OF INTER CULTURAL NEGOTIATION Negotiation
Negotiation is a form of social interaction. It is the process by which two or more parties try to
resolve perceived incompatibl e goals (Carnevale Pruitt, 1992). In order to understand the effect of
culture on
negotiation, it is useful to have a mental model of negotiation. What is it that people mean when
they say they negotiate? What is involved in negotiating? What is a good outcome in negotiation?
What does it take to get a good outcome? What goes wrong in a negotiation that has a poor
outcome? However, if culture has an effect on negotiation, the mental models of negotiators from
one culture may not map on to the mental models of negotiators from another culture, making the
speciВ® cation of a single mental model problematic. There are two ways to approach this
problem of specifying a mental

Nevertheless, power is the desire of all humanity. It is apparent through human s actions, that life

Wicked, Maguire explores the challenges that those with power are faced with and the way the...

Classifying Different Types of Shoppers
In today s world things are a lot different than the way they used to be. People are becoming much
more alert and aware of things that are going on around them. Many people do not enjoy doing
things that other people enjoy. It can be a win or lose situation. There are some things in life that
people have to do whether they wantto or not. Throughout many different places many people
have to go do this on a daily basis. Lots of men usually do not want to be involved. It is usually
left for the women to take over. There are very many types of shoppers that people deal with on a
daily basis, they are different in many ways such as, children, young adults, and senior citizens.
By all means, shopping can be difficult for children for many reasons. To start, they are very
impatient. They do not want to wait for their parents to get done shopping, whatever they want
they expect to get it now.. When checking out at the register everything is in their reach. They are
then grabbing things and throwing that in the cart as well. Also, it is difficult with children
shopping because sometimes they can be combative. If a child does not get what they want then
they will most of the time throw themselves down and have a tantrum. It makes the parents look
so bad, as well as the child who is acting out. It is not good to be combative because then someone
may get hurt. After all, children shoppers do not care how much anything cost. They will just pick
any and everything up and place

In Ethiopia s case immigration is the incoming of refugees from Eritrea, Somalia, South Sudan and Sudan. The immigrants from these countries are in seek of peace and stability. Generally, when their lives are in danger, they flee to their closest safe country, Ethiopia. Most of these people walked to get to Ethiopia. According to the UNHCR of the United nations, 850,000 refugees from neighboring countries residing in Ethiopia and the country hosts the largest number of refugees in Africa. They have distinctive traditions and feelings they share with a group of people about their nations. Here, the immigrants are displaced only from their homelands, but with all having traditions and feelings about their countries. • 4. The Wilmington Race Riot Currently, there has been a major event occurring in the town of Wilmington, North Carolina between citizens of many races, and many political parties, including the Republican Party, Democratic Party, and the Populist Party. These parties had different political and racial views on government policies, and who should rule. Wilmington is a strong religious community, and is the center of African American political and economic success. After the end of the Civil War, laws allowed blacks to get an education and were able to manage their own businesses. Since the government created laws that allowed blacks to vote, there has been some controversy between whites and blacks. A major event occurred called the Fusion Coalition. When it was time to vote, people fused their voters and hoped to defeat the Democratic Party by doing this. Propaganda and media is put up all over town to intimidate people and make people believe certain things, based on what type of propaganda it is. People have started to fall for these propaganda posters, and it causes people to believe whatever they see. This sparked the current Race Riot because it actually led people to believe that blacks are bad and that they should not have a say. • 6. IIi.features Of A Smart Grid III .FEATURES OF A SMART GRID Reliability The smart grid uses technology to self locate faults so their rectification is fast and sound. This self healing property of smart grid makes it more reliable than the conventional grid. Main technology used here is state estimation. Multiple routes are used in a smart grid which were used in the old grid as well. But mostly they were radial in nature so that any failure can cause total failure of the system and the current would be shunted to other elements. Flexibility in network topology Next generation grid technology would be far more flexible in transferring two way energy by allowing for distributed generation from solar cells, fuel cells , electric vehicles, wind turbines . Classic one way distribution is not that flexible to cater to problems when load is higher than the generating end . By using smarter grid this is possible. Efficiency Numerous contributions to overall improvement of the efficiency of energy infrastructure are anticipated from the deployment of smart grid technology, in particular including demand side management, for example turning off air conditioners during short term spikes in electricity price, reducing the voltage when possible on distribution lines through Voltage/VAR Optimization (VVO), eliminating truck rolls for meter reading, and reducing truck rolls by improved outage management using data from Advanced Metering Infrastructure systems. The overall effect is less redundancy in transmission ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He could hear the sounds of those who were chasing him. The mountain like a colossus stood defiantly in his path. All that he had was a rope and no equipment to climb the mountain. It was either climb the mountain or risk being caught. There was no other way to reach his destination. He looked at the mountain and made a decision. He placed his hand upon the rock and started his ascent up the mountain. Some people saw the man climbing the mountain from a distance and laughed at him. The man ignored his critics and moved upon the rock. Inch by inch, he climbed the mountain. Soon his hands were sore, his feet hurting but he kept on climbing. He had no resources but his rope, his strength and his mind. Many hours later, he stood upon the summit of the mountain. He did not climb the mountain because the mountain was there. He climbed the mountain with no resources because he had no choice. Growth Hackers like the man climbing the mountain have to grow rapidly because they ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Usually the beginning stands display new clothing to excite their customers of the new trends and inventory they should check out. Tables are placed in the front so that customers can easily access the clothing they are looking for. They also give some examples of what they could find behind the stands. For example, if the clothing on the tables has neatly folded sweaters, then the clothing racks behind would have the same sweaters and pants that would match. Big displays of mannequins were placed around the stores in order to attract customers to that certain brand. The models would be wearing outfits with the clothing only pertaining to that brand. When looking for that outfit at times, they would make it convenient and placed all the clothing in the same area so that the customers could easily just buy the outfit. • 10. Comparing The Characters In Ray Bradbury s The Paterson... In Ray Bradbury s fictional novel about the horrifying future, he discusses topics that, politically and socially, can relate to Judith Ortiz Cofer s short story; The Paterson Public Library. These two pertain to each other because both Bradbury s and Cofer s characters are afraid of situations that involve books. Though they do compare in many ways, there are also differences between the stories. Cofer says that every trip to the library would be a dangerous one because of the black girl Lorraine. It took me through enemy territory, says Cofer. Bradbury s character Montag was afraid of being seen with books because they were illegal and he was afraid that he would be burned for having them. In a similar manner, Cofer was afraid of being in a situation on her way to get her books. She was afraid that the older bully would hurt her. Montag is more hostile when he takes action in Bradbury s novel. Cofer does not take action, she is a tutor for her bully and she cannot get through to the bully. • 14. The Golden Booklet Of The True Christian Life God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, therefore a predetermined path of righteousness or condemnation is contradictory to the core values of Christianity, as it eliminates the need for the will to be saved by Christ. This shows that God does not control our actions, in hopes that we live in accordance to him. In The Golden Booklet of the True Christian Life, author John Calvin explains that our actions do affect our relationship with God. He says, It is God s own glory that he cannot have anything to do with iniquity and uncleanness, (Calvin, 17). God would not be able to be with us if we lived a complete life of inconsideration to him that would be an uncleanly life. A Christian is called to be as much like Jesus as they possibly can. Jesus never made compromises, he didn t ever say I am the son of God so I can live how I want. For it is unlawful for you to make a compromise with God: to try to fulfill part of your duties and to omit others at your own pleasure, (Calvin, 22). If Jesus had made compromises he would probably not have dies for the sins of human kind. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This world in which all human kind lives in is distorted and filled with sin but we are called to choose to not give in to the sin, to not conform to the work around us and prove our faith is stronger than our sinful desires. God does not control what we choose to do, he may put situations in ones lives that will test ones faith but the person themselves is in control of their fate and what will come from the challenge that lies ahead. Calvin states, The Lord has still another reason for afflicting his children: to try their patience and to teach them obedience, (Calvin, 52). God would not try a persons patience or teach them obedience if God knew exactly what would happen, because it is in those trials that he does not know what will ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Being pregnant and locked up is one of the worse and hardest experience in life for them. It is not because they are pregnant in prison but it is the treatment they receive before and after the birth. Some of the women say they get great treatment but others say the treatment is horrid.People in the real world are debating if the treatment of pregnant women in prison is proper or if the treatment needs to be changed for the good or for the bad. The doctors have to see what drug they are on , but the main reason for the testing is to get see if the women are pregnant or if they have any serious health issues. Once finding out the women are pregnant the prison systems tell the ladies and schedule them a due date. This is good , but the bad thing is they are put in the prison with every other women. One would think since they are pregnant the prison system would separate them but no they do not. Pregnant women have to do every task the other women do. Like cleaning and cooking. The women that are in the clean task might not realize this but they are inhaling toxic chemicals. But this does not happen in every prison. For example there is a prison in Ohio that separates the soon to be mothers from the other inmates. These soon to be mothers are not in the same conditions as the other women. They are in bright colored rooms and they read a lot to get ready for when their baby is born (Leone 12). There are only 5 other states in the united states that have a program like in Ohio (Gormsen 14). Before the appearance of this sub genre, mystery novels were mainly dominated by unrealistic cases and detectives like Conan Doyle s Sherlock Holmes. As Malmgren states, The murders in these stories are implausibly motivated, the plots completely artificial, and the characters pathetically two dimensional, puppets and cardboard lovers, and paper mache villains and detectives of exquisite and impossible gentility. It is far more than I could ever offer you, if I must bid for your loyalty. Spade laughed. His laughter was brief and somewhat bitter. That is good, he said, coming from you. (Hammett, 57) this clipped, laconic style was considered to be highly realistic and appropriate around the time this work was written. Also, Hammett s objective point of view plays hand in hand with that literary style, such as how Spade is shown to be calmly rolling a cigarette after the news of Archer s death through pages 16 to 18; his feelings are unknown, but readers see his careful precise technique. The clipped, laconic and objective style puts emphasizes on objects and actions, allowing readers to decide for themselves the characters reactions and consciousness. • 18. A Study On The Hydrological Cycle II. Literature survey A.The Hydrological Cycle The central focus of any hydro meteorological study is the hydrological cycle shown in Figure 2.1. The hydrological cycle has no beginning or end and its many processes occur continuously (Chow et al., 1988). In describing the cycle, the water evaporates from ocean and land surface to become part of atmosphere; water vapour is transported and lifted in the atmosphere until it condenses and precipitates on the land or the oceans. Precipitated water may be intercepted by vegetation, becomes overland flow over the ground surface, infiltrate into the ground, flow through the soil as subsurface flow and discharges into streams as surface runoff. The infiltrated water may percolate deeper to recharge groundwater, later emerging as spring and seeping into streams to form surface runoff and finally flowing into the sea or evaporating into the atmosphere as the hydrological cycle continues. Figure 2.1 Elements of the hydrologic cycle (freeze and cherry 1979) It is noted that though the concept of the cycle seems simple, the phenomena are enormously complex and intricate. It is not just one large cycle but it is rather composed of many interrelated cycles of continental, regional and local extent. The major achievement and objectives of the rainfall runoff modelling is thus to study a part (section) of the hydrological cycle, namely the land phase of the hydrological cycle on a catchment scale. Then the problem becomes to express the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Flipped classrooms foster an increase in student engagement and collaboration while gaining 21st century learning skills. Student Engagement While there is no step by step model of flipped learning, one of the main goals of this learning approach is to increase levels of engagement. Getting students authentically engaged in their education is an important component to increasing student success (Unruh, Peters Willis 2016). One component of authentic engagement can be defined as a student s perseverance or persistence in the face of adversity according to Schletchy (2005). In a recent study of a flipped classroom vs. a traditional classroom in Texas, the teacher reported students were 100% engaged in their assignments which normally does not happen in a traditional classroom setting . The teacher reported students asking more questions and being eager to build upon concepts taught the night before. Students were taking ownership of their learning. At home, students are able to chunk their learning which results in more effective and efficient task completion (Brown, Jacobsen Mazur 2015). Columbine, By Brian Cullen The beginning of the nonfiction, Columbine by Dave Cullen, takes place four days before the Columbine massacre at Columbine High School s assembly in Littleton, Colorado, just before the weekend of Prom. Ironically, Principal DeAngelis, the one who had hosted the school assembly, provides a lecture of everyone coming back alive and safe after prom. Soon after, on April 20, 1999, Eric Harris and Dylan Kleboldarrived at Columbine High Schoolwith two bombs based on portable propane bottles, decoy bombs in their cars and across town, and dozens of small pipe bombs, along with guns and ammunition. Their original and only plan was to shoot anyone and everyone who escapes from the building after the bombs detonated, and they had expected to be shot to death by police; however, their plans partly failed when the bombs planted inside the school did not go off. Although their plan of distraction did not succeed as expected, Harris and Klebold entered the school and began shooting and firing pipe bombs for a little over fifteen minutes. Afterwards, after roaming the school for a short amount of time, they returned to the library where most of their victims had died, set off one final bomb, and committed suicide by shooting themselves. Although their bombing failed, the ensued shooting resulted in a new era of school violence and had left a lasting impression on the world. When thinking of a profession, the first occupation that pops up in my mind is lawyers. The reason is because my projected image of lawyers is that they process specific legal knowledge, which most people do not have. So I think the first element of a professionis to gain a particular area of knowledge, usually through higher education. Professionals initially distinguish themselves among the others by being able to absorb complex and sometimes abstract concepts. Most professions require licenses and certificates, which further distinguish themselves. Violations to codes of conduct often result in undesired consequences, such as revocation of licenses and dismissal. The last element of professionalism, in my understanding, is positive general public image. The public usually perceives professionals as well educated, civilized and generally have higher social status. They make decent salaries, and perhaps have their own practices. Additionally, owing to the characteristics of diverse software development projects being unstructured and sophisticated, it is significant to implement teamwork within such endeavors (He, Brian and William, 2010). Various software developments require the implementation of dissimilar amounts of knowledge. This deems the implementation of an individual s knowledge appears to be insufficient in the accomplishment of such objectives. The authors of the article consider a team to be an association of two or more individuals working together towards the achievement of a set objective. The authors highlight the power of team cognition in envisaging the likelihood of team effectiveness. However, studying team cognition has been marred significantly by conceptualizing and determining its constructs (He, Brian and William, 2010). Team cognition study is complex, owing to the diversity of the tasks and the involved environmental factors. As such, two aspects of team cognition include awareness of expertise location and shared task understandings are critical. Individuals within a team ought to be conscious of the members capabilities and clearly comprehend their various tasks in accomplishing set objectives. Both articles ... • 38. The Causes And Uses Of Homeschooled Students In Society Why is it that we rarely acknowledge homeschooled students for who they are in this society? Is it because they are different from the run of the mill students that attend public schools? It could very well be that they are misjudged because so many people are not informed on homeschooling. If so, the majority of homeschooled students around the nation feel like outsiders simply because society has not taken the time to understand and provide for them. But, one should not feel ashamed as around 3.4% of the all K 12 students in America are homeschooled, (Ray). It is reasonable for such a small population to feel like a group of outsiders when everyone else has not been apart of this experience. Fortunately, there are various methods of tackling this problem; diagnosing this issue is the most beneficial of all. Thus, homeschoolers are outsiders because others do not fully understand the setting they are taught in, the education they receive, and the reasons behind why they are being homeschooled in the first place. Children who are homeschooled tend to be outsiders because people misjudge them based on the setting they are in. It is believed that homeschoolers do not receive the same kind of socialization that students in public schools do. As a result, they are treated differently because of the setting they were taught in; it is completely different from that of a public school. Secondly, there is a misconception that homeschoolers do not participate in the outside world, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Creon s Determination In Sophocles Antigone Antigone is a play by Sophocles which embellishes the rivalry between Creon who stands for the state values and Antigone who stands for family values, the start at the end of a battle between Polyneices and Eteocles, brothers of Antigone and Ismene. The two siblings kill each other, and this makes Creon new king of Thebes. These concepts provide a language for what we know and what we do not know about culture and negotiation and allow us to build a model of factors affecting inter cultural negotiation process and outcome. A MODEL OF INTER CULTURAL NEGOTIATION Negotiation Negotiation is a form of social interaction. It is the process by which two or more parties try to resolve perceived incompatibl e goals (Carnevale Pruitt, 1992).
