The Prince William Chamber of Commerce Presents
4th Annual Women’s Leadership Conference
Manassas, Virginia – The Prince
William Chamber of Commerce
will round out their Women’s
Leadership Series with the 4th
Annual Women’s Leadership
Conference, taking place on
Thursday, February 12 at the
Continental Event Center lo-
cated at 9705 Liberia Avenue in
Manassas, VA. The conference is
designed to bring together local
women in business to make con-
nections as they learn from, and
inspire one another
to do more and to be
more. Attendees will
have the opportunity
to network, attend a
variety of workshops and hear from passionate
speakers.
Each year the Chamber seeks keynote speakers
that will share a powerful personal story of suc-
cess through dedication, ambition and passion.
This year, Kathy Albarado, Founder and CEO
of Helios HR, an award-winning human capital
management and recruiting firm based in Reston,
VA, which she founded in 2001, will take the po-
dium to share her story of 25 years of experience
in progressive human capital management. She
will lead a discussion where she addresses “Living
with Intention”. Ms. Albarado and her team are
passionate about helping organizations establish a
culture of intention--a culture that allows them to
attract, retain and engage exceptional teams. He-
lios is most known for helping their clients scale
to their next stage of growth. Her excitement for
organizations to adopt these ‘next’ practices led
her to author Building Cultures of Intention and
Guide to HR Administration. Ms. Albarado is a
national speaker and has been featured on televi-
sion, radio and quoted in numerous media publi-
cations including The New York Times, The Wash-
ington Business Journal, The Washington Post, and
Virginia Business regarding human capital man-
agement and leadership challenges.
Josie Geiger, founding partner of the Present-
ing Sponsor BION, Inc., noted that their involve-
ment with this year’s leadership conference stems
from her company’s commitment to people first,
“As a commercial contractor, we’re in an indus-
try where very often the workers come and go.
BION is different. We believe that our people are
the key to our success and we’re intentional about
holding onto them. With that in mind, we do ev-
erything within our power to give them the tools
they need to keep coming back; from workplace
safety prioritization to continuing education to
encouraging philanthropy.” As a woman in a
male-dominated field, Geiger feels that being the
kind of leader her employees want to follow is
critical. She looks forward to meeting with other
women of a similar mind.
