A prime number is a number that is only divisible by 1 and itself, with examples being 2 and 3. A composite number has more than two factors, such as 4 and 6. Co-prime numbers only have 1 as a common factor, so prime numbers such as 35 and 39 are also co-prime numbers since they only share 1 as a common factor.
