DIVISIBILITY RULES- Ms. Ruby Rose Ann B. Panganod
A number is divisible by 2 if the number
ends in 0,2,4,6 and 8.
Example:
24, 872, 500, 1 118, 9 866
A number is divisible by 5 if the number
ends in 0 and 5.
Example:
25, 500, 1 085, 16 700
A number is divisible by 10 if the
number ends in 0.
Example:
30, 500, 18 000, 16 700
A number is divisible by 3 if the sum of
the digits is divisible by three.
Example:
15, 30, 456, 1 035
A number is divisible by 9 if the sum of
the digits is divisible by nine.
Example:
18, 45, 261, 3 069
A number is divisible by 4 if the last
two digits are divisible by 4.
Example:
312, 504, 948, 2 032
A number is divisible by 8 if the last
three digits are divisible by 8.
Example:
596, 2 032, 12 328
A number is divisible by 6 if the number
is divisible by 2 and 3.
Example:
102, 396, 5 232, 21 348
A number is divisible by 7 if the difference
between twice the last digit and the
remaining digits is either zero or is divisible
by 7.
Example:
343, 2 275, 1 617, 6 258
A number is divisible by 11 if the difference
between the sum of the odd-placed digits
and the sum of the even-placed digits is
zero or divisible by 11.
Example:
693, 3 828, 10 857, 8 349
