The document discusses what was learned from constructing the opening sequence, including skills with camera equipment, editing software, sourcing music, and improving overall planning and confidence.
What have you learned from your audience feedback?f_noor
The document discusses using Survey Monkey to get audience feedback on a student horror film project. The survey responses helped the students understand what typical elements audiences expect in a horror film, such as jumpy scenes, a psychotic villain, character deaths, and an ending shrouded in mystery. However, the students also wanted to subvert some expectations and try different approaches, such as using an older main character rather than the typical teenaged victims. Getting this feedback helped guide their creative choices while filming to appeal to horror fans but also surprise them.
This questionnaire provided information to help create a thriller film project that appeals to its target age group of 15-19 year olds. The results showed that suspense, tension, horror subgenres, and building tension/suspense over time are most appealing. While a majority prefer a plot-driven film with a cliffhanger opening, the film will need elements to appeal to all audiences.
The survey analyzed horror movie preferences of respondents. Supernatural and gore sub-genres were most popular, while gothic romance was least popular. Tension was found to be the scariest convention, while character deaths elicited little empathy. Blood and gore was a close second most/least frightening element. A male killer was deemed most likely by respondents, providing an opportunity for a surprising female killer twist.
The document discusses the intended audience for a media product described as a thriller film called "PREY". It states that the audience would be around 50% men and 50% women due to elements like a female lead, action scenes, and a tense ending. It would likely attract teenagers and adults rather than children due to violent content suggested by the title and clues in the opening. The film aims to include people of all races and social classes by featuring actors of different races and portraying characters from both upper and lower classes.

The filmmaker gathered feedback on their production from their target audience through online surveys, polls, and recorded feedback. The feedback showed that the audience understood the film's genre as a dramatic thriller and were clear on the narrative and theme of mental illness. However, some elements of the narrative could have been made clearer, such as the depiction of the main character's mental illness. The filmmaker was pleased with most aspects of the production but feels the narrative and certain scenes could have been improved to better portray the theme and make the story more understandable. Overall the audience rated the film positively, and the experience taught the filmmaker about effectively communicating and working as a production team.
The document discusses feedback received from audiences on a film project at various stages of development. Initial feedback on the storyline suggested it was confusing but interested audiences aged 15-25. Feedback on a rough cut confirmed it fit the thriller genre but suggested adding more music and fixing missing shots. Final feedback reassured the filmmakers that they successfully portrayed thriller conventions and entertained the target audience as intended. Getting audience feedback at multiple stages helped the filmmakers improve their work and ensure it met expectations.
Our media product uses and challenges some conventions of horror films. It uses a child character like in films like Insidious and The Omen to create a scary vibe. However, it does not include typical horror elements like strange figures in mirrors or forests at night. It also challenges conventions by using Asian actors instead of the typical white actors seen in most horror films. The target audience provided feedback that it fits with the horror genre but is not a typical horror film. It would be suitable for 15 certificate viewers and attract teenagers and adults who enjoy mystery and psychological thrillers in addition to horror fans. Extra effort was put into camera work and editing to improve the sequence over previous work.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
occur natural.

2. Q1. What is your gender?
These answers showed us that the majority of the people who
answered were females. This benefits us as we are currently using
actresses, so this will allow the audience watching to relate more to the
characters.
3. Q2. What is your age?
This shows us that the majority of our audience are in the age
bracket 16-18. Our actresses are aged 16, so this allows this age
group to relate more to the characters we are using.
4. Q3. What is your favourite genre of film?
From these responses we can see that the two most popular genres are thriller
and romance. This somewhat supports the plan of our film as it is from the thriller
genre. However we have not included an element of romance. The second most
popular response was comedy. We have altered our film slightly to adapt to this
genre, as a small element of comedy has been introduced.
5. Q4. What do you specifically enjoy about your favourite genre?
We received a range of responses to this question. A few of our responses worked with the thriller
genre such as ‘Being on the edge of my seat’, ‘the unexpected’ and ‘its exciting because there is
always a sense of mystery’. These all work with our film as a sense of mystery is created through the
use of an all black figure. This could leave the audience on the edge of their seats as the two main
characters are unaware of this figure. Therefore, ‘the unexpected’ is going to occur.
6. Q5. What gender do you prefer the main role to be in a film?
The answer to this question had a halfway split of male and female.
This somewhat works with the aspect of our film as we have two
female main roles. However, no male characters are involved.
7. Q6. What age actors / actresses do you prefer to watch?
The most common age in answer to this question was 18-30 year olds.
This does not work with our thriller film as neither of our actresses are
between that age gap. However, we felt that it was best for the members
of our group to be in this film, rather than characters of other ages.
8. Q7. What narratives / sub-genres do you prefer in a film?
A common narrative which was suggested was friendship, which is an
element which our film includes. Another suggestion was comedy,
which is also slightly included in our film as a sub – genre.
9. Q8. How many main actors/actresses do you like to typically
see in a film?
The main response to this question was ‘2 to 6’. This is good as our
thriller overall contains 3 characters (2 main characters).
10. Q9. What interests do you have outside of film?
We asked this question to see if we were able to include an element of these
hobbies into our film. However, this would not fit into the plot of our film and
would be completely random.
11. Q10. What time of day to you typically prefer a film to be?
The majority of the responses answered ‘evening’. When it
comes to editing we are going to dim the lighting to create the
effect of it being filmed in the evening.
