From 2008-2012, Courtney Hermann and her Documentary Production students participated in the International Documentary Challenge, a timed filmmaking competition where teams from across the world are given a documentary subgenre and a theme, and must create a 4-7 minute film from start to finish in just 5 days.
Courtney and her students have produced 10 films in all--4 were selected as contest finalists and premiered at the Hot Docs International Film Festival in Toronto. One film garnered additional commendations as the winner of the POV/American Documentary award. Three were selected for inclusion in the "Best of Doc Challenge" DVD, distributed by Typecast Releasing and KDHX Community Media.

الحمد لله ..... الذى جمل حبيبه صلى الله عليه وسلم بجمال أخلاقه العالية ، وأنوار صفاته الزاكية ،
وجعله بجسمه وشرعه وخلقه وهديه حجة لله على الخلق أجمعين ،
والصلاة والسلام على من بسرِّه خصَّ الله هذه الأمة بمودَّته، وجعل أتباعه في الكون رسل هدايته ،
فيؤلفون القلوب على حضرته ، ويجذبون النفوس إلى حنانته ، ويسوقون الخلق إلى توحيده و عبادته .
إن الحادثة المريرة التى مرَّت بأمتنا الإسلامية فى الآونة الأخيرة – و أعنى قضية الفيلم المسيىء للرسول وكذا الرسومات المسيئة لحضرته صلى الله عليه وسلم والتى نشرت ببعض الصحف الأوربية – و التفاعلات و المواقف التى أفرزتها
- على الرغم من وضوح بيان الهدى القرآنى والسنة النبوية وأفعال الأئمة الكرام فى هذه الشأن.
و لما كنَّا قد تناولنا هذه القضية ببعض خطب الجمعة والمحاضرات ، وإجابة العديد من أسئلة إخواننا بالبلاد وأثناء الزيارات
فقد طلب الكثيرون جمع هذه المواد وإخراجها فى كتاب ؛ لتعمَّ الفائدة
وينتشر البيان القرآنى والتوجيه النبوى فى هذا الأمر .
والحمد لله ، فقد أعاننا على إنجاز هذا إخوان صدق حتى خرج العمل بفضل الله وحسن توفيقه
بهذة الصورة الطيبة التى بين يديك .
وقد بدأنا بتحليل أسباب هذا الموقف الذى نحن فيه من الهجمات الشرسة ،
و بيَّنَّاها سببا تلو الآخر ، و كيف ارتبطت وتشابكت حتى وصلنا لما نعانيه الآن
بعدها وصَّفنا الزاد الذى يحتاجه المسلمون للتصدى لتلك الهجمة ،
و النهوض من هذه العثرة التى استضعفونا فيها ،
كما بينَّا المناهج التى يحتاج إليها كل مسلم لدعوة غيره
و انتهينا بواجب المسلم المعاصر فى كيفية استعمال الرد القرآنى على من أساء لحضرة النبى
وماذا بقى علي المسلمين بعد ذلك نحو حضرته الشريفة ، ثم ختمنا بتساؤل ..هل من فائدة لما حدث ؟
و إنى أخوانى المسلمبن الكرام ، و أخواتى الكريمات...
إذ أقدم لكم هذا العمل ، أسأل الله عزوجل أن يجزي كل من ساهم فيه خير الجزاء ، وأن يجعله خالصا
الحمد لله ، والصلاة والسلام على حبيب الله ومصطفاه ؛ سيدنا محمد ؛ إمام أهل الهدى وباب القرب لحضرة الله ، وآله وصحبه وكل من والاه .... وبعد ...
طلب مني بعض الإخوة الصادقين ؛ إعادة طباعة كتاب "اشراقات الإسراء – الجزء الأول " ؛ نظراً لأنه دليل وافٍ للسالك إلى الله ، وتوضيح كافٍ للواصل إلى مولاه ، وبيان شافٍ للمتمكن في طريق الله ؛ فاستخرنا الله تعالى في ذلك ، وقمنا بمراجعته ، ثم عزمنا على أن نضيف إليه ما استجد ( الجزء الثانى ) في احتفالات الإسراء السنوية بمسجد الأنوار القدسية بالمهندسين بالجيزة ، حيث أننا اقتصرنا في جمع المادة العلمية لهذا الكتاب على السهرات المباركة التي تقام في هذا المسجد كل عام ، ولم نسجِّل فيه كل ما فُتح علينا به بشأن هذه الرحلة المباركة في كافة الإنحاء ؛ خوفاً من الإطالة والملل .
وقد قام الإخوة الصادقون الحاج مصطفى عبدالموجود والحاج محسن عبدالحي بتفريغ هذه الدروس من شرائط التسجيل وكتابتها ، كما قد قام بذلك في الطبعة الأولى من الكتاب ( الجزء الأول ) الدكتور أحمد عبدالله القاضي ، وقام الإستاذ أحمد سعيد الغنام بكتابتها على الكمبيوتر وتخريج الآيات والأحاديث ، ثم قام أهل الإختصاص بمراجعتها لغوياً وإملائيا وإخراجها فنيا والإشراف على الطباعة ، فجزاهم الله جميعاً عنا خير الجزاء ، ورزقهم الله ببركة حبهم لحبيبه ومصطفاه البركة في أوقاتهم ، والصحة والعافية في أجسادهم ، والحفظ لجوارحهم وأعضائهم ، والزيادة والنماء في أموالهم ، والإخلاص والصدق في أعمالهم وأحوالهم ، والله أسأل أن ينفع به من قرأه ، ويجعله نوراً وفتحاً لمن عمل بما فيه ، وصلى الله على معلِّم الناس الخير ، وعلى آله وصحبه وسلم .

يشتاق أهل الإيمان ، ويتوق أهل الإحسان ، ويتلهف أهل الإيقان إلى القرب من حضرة الله ، يحدوهم الأمل ، ويسوقهم الطمع أن ينالوا بفضله ومنّه نظرة من جمال بهاه ، أو أن يمنَّ عليهم بوصله ، ويكشف لهم عن جمال سناه ، أو يُحلَّ عليهم رضوانه الأعظم ، فينالوا به قربه ورضاه.....
ولما رأى الحق عزَّ شأنه أشواق المحبين ، ولهفة المشتاقين ، وحنين الأوابين ، فتح الباب لأوليائه ، وكاشفهم بمضنون خزائن عطائه ، وواجههم بسرّ ديمومته وبقائه ، فلما كاشفهم به طاشوا ، فواجههم بمضنون سـرِّه ؛ فبه عاشـوا ، وعن وصف هذه
الأحوال يقول الإمام أبو العزائم رضي الله عنه:
والعارف الفرد محبوبٌ لخالقه فات المقامات تحقيقاً و تمكينا
في كل نفس له نور يواجهه من حضرة الحق ترويحاً و تيقينا
يمشي علىالأرض فى ذل ومسكنة هام الملائك شوقاً فيه و حنيناً
معناه غيب و مبناه مشاهدة والفرد معنى وليس الفرد تكويناً
لا يعرف الفرد إلا ذو مواجهة صفا فصوفي فأحيا النهج والدينا
فلما رأينا ...حيرة المريدين في المنهج السديد الذي يسلكونه لينالوا محبة الله ورضاه ، قرَّرنا لهم هذه الحقيقة ، بحسب ما ورد في أصول الشريعة ، وما لاح لأهل القرب في أنوار الحقيقة.
وغاية ما في الأمر :
أن السالك لكي ينال محبَّة الله ؛ يلزمه :
أن ينشغل باله بالكلِّية بمولاه عزوجل .
ويتحرى الصدق في متابعته لحبيب ومصطفاه صل الله عليه وسلم.
والإخلاص في توجهه ونواياه في كل عمل يعمله لحضرة الله.
وأن يسوق نفسه بالعلم الرشيد ، والعزم الأكيد ، والصبر المديد ، حتى تلحظه عناية الحميد المجيد ؛ فيتحقق بقوله سبحانه :أو ألقى السمع وهو شهيد ) )
(الآية (37) ق
وقد بنينا هذا الكتاب على :
توضيح الصفات والأخلاق ، التى مَنْ تجمّل بها أحبَّه الله .
وكذلك الأعمال والأفعال التى من قام بها نال محبَّـــة الله .
هذا بالإضافة إلى السنن والنوافل التى داوم عليها حبيب الله ومصطفاه ،
وكان عليها الصالحون من عبـــاد الله ، والتى إذا واظب عليها العبد ...... فإنها تستجلب له محبَّة الله .
وقد تناولنا هذه الموضوعات في جلسات روحانية ، كانت عامرة بأهل الصفاء والنقاء ، وقد ركَّزنا فيها على :
توضيح الآيات التي اخبر الرحمن أنه يحبُّ أهلها والمتجملين بنعوتها ، كقوله سبحانه وتعالى :
﴿إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِينَ وَيُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ ﴾ البقرة
وكذا الأحاديث التى تبين الأحوال التى يطلبها الله عزَّ وجلَّ من خلقه لينالوا رضاه ، كقوله عزَّ شأنه في حديثه القدسي :
{ مَنْ عَادَى لِـي وَلِـيًّا فقدْ بَارَزَنِـي بالـحَرْبِ ، وَمَا تَقَرَّبَ إِلَـيَّ عَبْدِي بشىءٍ أَحَبَّ

الحمد لله واسع الفضل والجود ..
الكريم الذي عطاؤه بغير حدود، المتفضل الذي وسع فضله كل الوجود، والصـلاة والسلام على سيدنا محمد الرحمة العظمى لكل موجـود،
والنـور الأعظم والسر المطلسم فى مقام شــاهد ومشـهود،
صلى الله عليه وآله الركّع السجود وأصحابه الموفون بالعهود،
وكل من تابعهم بخير إلى يوم الفضل والكرم والجود.
وبعد، ... فهذه وريقاتٌ سطَّرناها بما أملاه علينا اللهُ تشير إلى بعض فيض فضله تعالى على عباده يوم القيامة وفى الجنَّة إن شاء الله، تعظيماً لرغبة المؤمنين نحو فضل الله العظيم، وتحفيزاً لهم بما سردناه من بشريات أن يحبوا لقاء الله ليدخلوا فى البشرى التى أشار إليها رسول الله e فى قوله:
{ يَسِّروا ولا تُعَسِّروا، وبَشِّروا ولا تُنَفِّروا }[1]
وقد دعانا إلى ذلك مع تحققنا الكامل بقول رسول الله e:
{ قَالَ الله تعالى أَعْدَدْتُ لِعبَادِي الصَّالِحِينَ مَا لا عَيْنٌ رَأَتْ وَلاَ أُذُنٌ سَمِعتْ وَلا خَطَرَ عَلَى قَلْبِ بَشَرٍ }[2]
أننا وجدنا أن أحاديث جُلّ الدعاة، بل وكتبهم عن الموت والدار الآخرة .. تركِّز على التهويل والتخويف من رهبة الموت! وشدة أهوال وعذاب ذلك اليوم ... ولا تشير إلى البشريات الواردة إلا فى النّزر اليسير، وذلك بحجة أن الخلق فى حاجة إلى التخويف!! ليتركوا المعاصى والمخالفات ... ويقبلوا على العبادات والطاعات !!!.
وعندما رجعنا إلى الصفحات الناصعة فى دعوة رسول الله e وصحبه الكرام والسلف الصالح y أجمعين وجدنا نهجهم الإقتداء فى ذلك بهدى القرآن الكريم بالإكثار من اللوم والتقريع والتأنيب والتخويف للكافر والنافر والمصرّ على ارتكاب الكبائر ...
أما المؤمن المطيع، والمسلم المستقيم فلهم البشريات بما أعدَّ الله لهم من رفيع الدرجات وعليّ المواجهات، وعظيم المقامات فصدق الله U إذ يقول للدعاة السابقين واللاحقين والمعاصرين، بل للمؤمنين أجمعين:
] لقد كان لكم في رسول الله أسوة حسنة لمن كان يرجوا الله والي

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

building your Prezi
Sketch a basic outline of presentation structure and
proposed arrangement of components before completing
a canvas.
Tip # 3: Choose your design theme early
Create the design before arranging your components on
the canvas.
Tip # 4: Design BIG and use changes of scale
Make use of the entire canvas by using different size
fonts so that there is space in between your contents.

Be mindful of creating content with a lot of animation
consistent zooming and rotation can cause
disorientation.
Tip # 6: Use hidden frames to reduce clutter
This will help you organize and zoom in on content
without adding a visual frame.

Be mindful that your images can become distorted if
magnified . Therefore understanding how Prezi’s image
