This presentation was made to help designers who work in publishing houses or format books for printing ensure quality.
Quality control is vital to every industry. This is why every department in a company need create a method they use in ensuring quality. This, perhaps, will not only improve the quality of products and bring errors to the barest minimum, but take it to a near perfect finish.
It is beyond a moot point that a good book will somewhat be judged by its cover, but the content of the book remains king. No matter how beautiful the cover, if the quality of writing or presentation is off, that will be a reason for readers not to come back to the book or recommend it.
So, this presentation points designers to some important things that may be missed by an editor that they could eventually discover and call the attention of the editor.
You could be a professional graphic designer and still make mistakes. There is always the possibility of human error. 2. AGE
The age my music magazine would be most suitable
for is 14 to 25 year olds. I believe this age range is
suitable because these sor t of ages listen to Rap/
Hip-Hop/ R&B music and there is some inappropriate
language in this type of music.
3. GENDER
I think my music magazine is suitable for both
genders because people of both sexes like this type
of music. Also you get both genders singing this type
of music.
4. OCCUPATION
I don’t think there is a certain occupation that you
have to be to be able to buy this magazine because it
will be quite cheap so you wont need to be on good
money to be able to buy it. However most of the
people that buy this magazine will probably be in
education.
5. CLASS
I think the audience of my music magazine will
mainly be working class people. I think this because
these are the people that mainly listen to R&B, Rap
and Hip-Hop music because of the language used in
the music and the things that the music is
sometimes associated with. For example: Drugs and
Guns.
6. WEALTH
The people that buy my music magazine wouldn’t
have to be rich because the people that are
associated with this type of music aren’t really rich
and dont have alot of money.
7. INTERESTS
The people who buy this magazine will be interested
in R&B, Rap and Hip Hop music and the things
associated with it such as the clothing involved.
However these aren’t the only things that they will be
interested in. For example I am also into football
which many people are. So I will have to include
other things in my magazine such as things about
football or clothing.
8. MOTIVATIONS TO BUY
People will be motivated to buy this magazine
because it will have content that is relevant to 14-25
years olds such as exclusive information and
interviews about relevant ar tists, new music that is
relevant to the genre and new clothing types and
brands like Adidas and Nike.
9. OUT LOOK FOR THE FUTURE
I will have to make my magazine stand out to people
by making it inspiring. So I will have to include
stories that will inspire people so they will think
things I want to do that when I leave college or I
want to go to university and do this.
10. HOW AM I GOING TO REACH MY TARGET
AUDIENCE?
I am going to try and reach my audience by including
topics that they will be interested in such as football
or clothing. I am also going to include inspiring
stories so people will think “yeah, I want to do that
when I leave college or university”. Finally I am going
to use exclusive stories so people will want to read
my magazine.
