Show your

Nowadays, the whole
world talks about
ecology, but what
exactly is it?
This is the scientific study
of
interactions among
organisms and their
environment, such as the
interactions organisms
have with each other and
with their abiotic
environment.
Environmental problems
The biggest problems are:
Land pollution
Water pollution
Air pollution
Environmental
degradation
Global warming
Land pollution
Land pollution is caused by the presence of xenobiotic, chemicals or other
alteration in the natural soil environment. These changes can manifest in the
alteration of metabolism of endemic microorganisms and arthropods resident in
a given soil environment.
Division of land pollution
Water pollution
Water pollution occurs when pollutants are directly or indirectly
discharged into water bodies without adequate treatment to remove
harmful compounds.
Water pollution affects plants and organisms living in these bodies of
water. In almost all cases the effect is damaging not only to individual
species and populations, but also to the natural biological communities.
Air pollution
Air pollution is the introduction into the atmosphere of chemicals, particulates,
or biological materials that cause discomfort, disease, or death to humans,
damage other living organisms such as food crops, or damage the natural
environment or built environment.
Environmental degradation
Environmental degradation is the deterioration of the environment
through depletion of resources such as air, water and soil; the
destruction of ecosystems and the extinction of wildlife. It is defined
as any change or disturbance to the environment perceived to be
deleterious or undesirable. The United Nations International Strategy
for Disaster Reduction defines environmental degradation as “The
reduction of the capacity of the environment to meet social and
ecological objectives, and needs”.
Global warming
Global warming is the rise in the average temperature of Earth's atmosphere
and oceans, that it is primarily caused by increasing concentrations of
greenhouse gases produced by human activities such as the burning of fossil
fuels and deforestation.

What you can
do for the
mather Earth?
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
It’s more than just a slogan. You can start making the world a ‘greener’
place today: return hangers to the cleaners, donate clothing and computers
to charities, pack lunches in reusable containers instead of bags, there are
hundreds of easy things to do! It’s up to you!
Create an energy efficient
light bulbs in your home
Plant trees. Creating
new forests
Swap the car for a bicycle or
public means of transport
Don't contaminate water. It
all comes back to you

Earth and pollution
Air pollution is the introduction into
the atmosphere of chemicals, particulates,
or biological materials that cause
discomfort, disease, or death to humans,
damage other living organisms such as
food crops, or damage the natural
environment or built environment.
Global Warming is the increase of Earth's
average surface temperature due to effect
of greenhouse gases, such as carbon
dioxide emissions from burning fossil fuels
or from deforestation, which trap heat that
would otherwise escape from Earth. This
is a type of greenhouse effect.
Global warming is a like a knife. At one side, it turns some areas
of the earth hotter and drier and turns other areas at the
opposite direction wetter and colder. The impact will hurt all
species that are not ready yet to life with such a drastic
change.
• Reduce or eliminate waste by modifying
laboratory procedures.
• Planted forests - more greenery and trees
means more oxygen.
• Building the filters on the chimneys of
factories.
• Change trains out of the car to public
transport as far as possible.

Biological - are caused by the presence of
pathogenic
microorganisms, such as bacteria, viruses,
algae, fungi,
protozoa, and their toxins.
Chemicals - are caused by chemicals
resistant to biodegradation, remain
permanently in the water, detergents,
•Municipal Sewage .
•Industrial Wastewater .
•Agricultural Waste .
•Ecological Disaster .
• Containing detergents derived from
detergents and cleaning products of
decomposition of organic matter, feces
and hospital waste containing pathogenic
bacteria .
• Contain toxic substances, including
solvents, heavy metal compounds such as
mercury, cadmium and lead.
• Come from animal husbandry (may
contain pathogenic bacteria transmitted by
animals), the fields (carry a washed out of
the soil used in excess fertilizers and
pesticides).
Ecological Disaster
These include the failure of tankers carrying liquid fuels,
failures in the chemical and energy sectors.
• Increasing the content of chemicals in the
water, mainly nitrogen and phosphorus
compounds, which are the source of
fertilizers leached from the soil to water,
causes a rapid growth of algae, which
leads to excessive consumption of oxygen
in water bodies. This causes the death of
organisms, such as fish. Increasing the
amount of algae and bacteria, there are
lake sediments and slowly overgrown. This
process is eutrophication.
• Build a modern sewage treatment plants in
each locality .
• Exact (mechanical and biological) treatment
of municipal and industrial wastewater.
• Use modern technology in the industry, the
so-called material-and energy-saving and
environmentally friendly .
• To build secure landfills, of which water is
directed to the treatment plant.

Pollution
Soil Pollution
Soil pollution are mainly caused by
getting to land any chemicals and
radioactive elements.
Consequences:
Pollution reduce fertility of the
soil, cause a decrease in yields
and lower their quality.
Water pollution
The most important cause of water
pollution in our country are substances
flushed into streams rivers. More and
more rivers are used for discharge of
municipal and industrial wastewater.
Pollution have a deleterious effect on
human health, cause a change in taste,
odor, color and pH of the water and its
turbidity.
Air pollution
Air pollution result in many diseases of
the respiratory system and blood.
Most serious effects of air pollution are:
the greenhouse effect, smog and acid
rain. The air is polluted by gases, liquids
and solids that are not its natural
ingredients.
