Natasha was 18 years old, young and invincible. She had only just begun her life. Then in one moment it was all taken away from her. She made 2 life changing mistakes, one was to get into a car with a drunk driver and the other was not to fasten her seat belt.
The driver went around a corner too fast and rolled the car onto the freeway rolling the car over 8 times. Tasha was ejected out the front windshield and landed on the guard rail. The date was Oct 29th, 2008. She broke her neck and her back in ten places and ruptured her spleen and bruised her lungs. She died at the scene, but then was brought back to life by the first responders. She was then rushed to the U of A hospital and spent the next year between that hospital and the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital.
After being diagnosed as a quadriplegic, the doctors said that she would not breathe, eat, or even talk on her own again, let alone walk.
Now years later Natasha is a University Student attending the University of Regina, and public speaking. Her goal is to bring awareness to people on how quickly, on bad mistake can change your life forever. We all think we are invincible and bad things always happen to others – but when that decision costs you your life or changes it dramatically for the rest of your life, it can be devastating.
CMC Markets Trading Smart Series: Planning your trading strategyCMCMarketsSG
This document discusses strategies for successful trading. It explains that trading success depends on achieving the right balance between two key ratios: the percentage of winning trades (success ratio) and the average profit compared to the average loss (pay-off ratio). Neither ratio is more important on its own - the combination is what matters. It introduces the concept of expectancy, which measures the expected profit or loss for each dollar of risk taken over many trades. A strategy's expectancy helps evaluate its risk-reward profile and potential for long-term success. Traders should aim for strategies with a positive expectancy, though a minimum threshold above zero depends on individual circumstances.

To understand an application’s performance, first you have to know what to measure. That’s the easy part. How do you take those measurements? Store them? Analyze them? Get them to the people who need them? Well, that’s where things get complicated, especially in the high-traffic distributed systems of the modern web! Like careful scientists, we must observe our subjects without altering them, and we must report our findings quickly so that we have the data necessary to make smart choices about the health and growth of the system.
Let’s explore the lessons learned by engineers at one of the world’s top web companies in their quest to find meaning at 5 MB/s. We’ll discuss the tools and techniques that enable the collection, indexing, and analysis of billions or more datapoints each hour, and learn how these same approaches can empower your applications and your business, no matter the scale.

This document provides guidance on writing a comparison/contrast essay. It explains that a comparison highlights similarities, while a contrast highlights differences. A good comparison/contrast essay helps the reader understand how two or more subjects are similar or different. When choosing subjects, they should be similar enough for meaningful analysis. Parallel points must be made about each subject. The essay can be organized by discussing each subject individually or by discussing individual points about both subjects. Transitions should be used to connect ideas. The thesis statement should specify what is being compared or contrasted and state the main conclusion. Topics are provided as potential ideas for comparison/contrast essays.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

Press Release - MacroPoint Integrates with CarrierWeb
1. MacroPoint Integrates with CarrierWeb
Freight tracking software and mobile communications and telematics technology
provider enable seamless capabilities for mutual customers
CLEVELAND, OH – July 14, 2015 -- MacroPoint, creators of patented freight
tracking software designed to give 3rd party visibility into load status, today
announced an integration with CarrierWeb, a provider of real-time mobile
communications, electronic logging and refrigerated telematics technology for
private and for-hire fleets. This seamless integration enables their mutual carrier,
shipper and broker customers to instantly share freight tracking information
tailored to their unique service requirements.
“The integration gives our customers another way to share critical load
information with their customers who utilize MacroPoint to monitor load status
across many different carriers in their system,” said Keith O’Brien, VP product
management and professional services at CarrierWeb. “For example, JNJ
Express came to us and said they needed to provide load updates via
MacroPoint to a large customer. Working with MacroPoint we integrated their
tracking functionality to give them the automated information they need.”
“Our customer told us we needed to enable the MacroPoint integrated load
tracking solution they use to help manage shipments globally,” said Joe
Hilderbrand, director of operations at JNJ Express, Inc. an asset based
transportation and logistics services provider headquartered in Memphis,
Tennessee. “We asked CarrierWeb if they could set up the integration and told
them we needed to get it done quickly.
“Ten days after our initial integration meeting we were in final testing,”
Hilderbrand added. “Implementation of the MacroPoint solution via CarrierWeb
was very smooth. Both companies were great to work with and most importantly,
we are now helping our customer increase efficiencies in its organization based
on the load tracking information we’re providing.”
Used with a driver’s mobile phone, including flip phones, or existing in-cab
ELD/GPS devices, MacroPoint’s patented location tracking software gives third
parties load status and location visibility on their shipments. With MacroPoint,
brokers, 3PLs and shippers have real-time location tracking, on-time delivery
monitoring, and arrival and departure notifications that enhance the efficiency
and profitability of their operations.
“By integrating with our MacroPoint freight tracking software, CarrierWeb is
seamlessly providing visibility into the location of freight for our mutual
customers,” said Glynn Spangenberg, senior vice president/general manager of
MacroPoint. “We designed our 3rd party load tracking software to integrate with
2. solutions that carriers, brokers and shippers are already using to manage their
operations without needing additional software, and we’re pleased that
CarrierWeb has joined our growing list of partners.”
