Steve Wilhelms joins Vigillo as VP of Business Development
PORTLAND, Ore.– April 14, 2015 –
Vigillo LLC, creators of the transportation
industry’s leading CSA platform, and advanced big data and data mining
software products, today announced it has hired two new software developers
and is planning to add as many as six more developers to its staff. Also joining
Vigillo is Steve Wilhelms, a highly accomplished safety and risk management
professional with over 20 years of experience leading teams in safety, risk
management and regulatory compliance to serve as VP of Business
Development.

Steve Wilhelms’ professional experience includes serving most recently as
Director of Risk Management, Safety and Compliance at 1845 Oil Field Services,
LLC, the largest Frac Sand Transporter in the US with a fleet of over 700 tractor
trailers. Previously, Wilhelms served at ISE, the development firm for the
FMCSA Wireless Roadside Inspection Program as Director of Safety and
Compliance Services; at RAIR – a Division of Lytx, Inc. which provides
compliance solutions to DOT-regulated fleets-- as Senior Vice President of
Marketing and Business Development, and as Director of Safety for a national
commercial property and casualty insurance agency focused on the commercial
agribusiness and trucking industries. He also held safety management roles with
other fleets in the building materials, armored transportation services and
truckload freight markets and was a law enforcement officer for 10 years in
Texas.
Wilhelms has earned certifications from the Texas Motor Transportation Institute
as a Certified Fleet Safety Director and Transportation Leadership Graduate and
from the National Safety Council with an Advanced Safety Certification. His
professional affiliations include the American Trucking Associations, Truckload
Carriers Association, Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance, National Private Truck
Council, and numerous state trucking associations where he has made
presentations on “Technologies Critical to Improved Carrier Performance”, “CSA,
An Industry Perspective”, “Using Data to Improve Safety Performance” and
“Technology, Data and Trucking”.
