The mathematical study of braids combines aspects of topology and group theory to study mathematical representations of one-dimensional strands in three-dimensional space. These strands are also sometimes viewed as representing the movement through a time dimension of points in two-dimensional space. On the other hand, the study of cellular automata usually involves a one- or two-dimensional grid of cells which evolve through a time dimension according to specified rules. This time dimension is often represented as an extra spacial dimension. The ideas of representing both strands in space and cellular automata have also been explored in many artistic media, including drawing, sculpture, knitting, crochet, and weaving.
Previous work as been shown that rules for cellular automata can be written in order to produce depictions of braids. This talk will extend the previous system into a more flexible one which more realistically captures the behavior of strands in certain media, such as knitting. Some theorems about what can and cannot be represented with these cellular automata will be presented.

Cables in Computer Networks
There are several types of cables used in networks. Twisted pair cable is used for home and corporate Ethernet networks and cancels out electromagnetic interference. Fibre optic cable has the highest bandwidth and can transmit data over long distances but is expensive. Coaxial cable was mainly used for TV but can now be used for high-speed home networking. Patch cables are short cables that connect electronic devices. Ethernet crossover cables directly connect computers without a switch. Power lines were not designed for networking but new technologies allow them to transmit data.
Statistics for fixed points of x ↦ x^x mod p
This document investigates the distribution of fixed points of the self-power map x → xx (mod p). It finds:
1) The distribution of total fixed points is not normal.
2) The counts of fixed points for most orders d are binomially distributed, as predicted by assuming independent x values.
3) However, for small/large orders d, the independence assumption breaks down. Certain x values of specific orders cannot both be fixed points, violating the prediction. The dependencies must be taken into account.
Sharing in google drive
To share a Google document, click the blue share button and select the privacy settings for general sharing of the document. You can then choose who can access the document by selecting individuals and their access level as an editor, commenter or viewer. Additional options include controlling who else can share the document and adding a message to recipients.
Images in google drive
To insert an image into a document, go to Insert->Image which allows you to select from recent images, upload images from your computer, or add images from Google Drive. The image search feature lets you search the web for images from Google, Life, or Stock photos by typing keywords or filtering by image type or color. You can also copy and paste the URL of an image to directly insert it from the web.
Clip art in google drive
This document provides a 7 step process for accessing and searching for clip art within a software program. It instructs the user to select Add-Ons from the file menu, then search for and select the Openclipart add-on to allow access to a clip art library where images can be searched.
