The historical parade in Cassino, Italy has taken place every year since 1994 to commemorate Saint Benedict, the patron of Cassino and Europe. On certain days in March, over 450 people dress in costumes from the Middle Ages and parade through the streets. They first visit Montecassino Abbey and are later joined by religious and political authorities in the parade, which celebrates Saint Benedict and European culture and history.
