Correlation is a statistical analysis that measures the strength and direction of association between two or more variables. There are different types of correlation including positive correlation where variables move in the same direction, negative correlation where variables move in opposite directions, linear correlation where variables change at a constant ratio, and non-linear correlation where there is no constant ratio of change. Correlation can also be simple, involving two variables, partial where one variable is held constant, or multiple where the association between one variable and two or more other variables is examined.
