Digital skills refer to the minimum abilities needed to safely use digital technology and access its benefits. These skills include setting up Wi-Fi networks, backing up to the cloud, basic photo and video editing, using Google Docs and Microsoft Office, HTML coding, and online banking. Professions that now require digital skills are those in branding, website design, and data analysis. Employers most want skills like teamwork, problem solving, communication, planning, technical knowledge, and computer program proficiency. The World Economic Forum identifies future skills will include those from emerging technologies.
