  • #18 What made ING successful is that they understood that, in order to adopt the cloud successfully, the whole organization had to change. Its success lies in the fact that ING did not treat the change into the cloud as an IT-only issue. For that purpose ING initiated a large-scale awareness and education campaign around their cloud initiative. The steps: Kick off message by CIO Internal awareness campaign Training & certification Virtual simulation The complete program was rolled out over a period of several months and has contributed to a rapid cloud understanding and acceptance by the IT workforce and business users.
