5. Environmental consequences
 noise pollution: the noise produced from automobiles, vehicles, social
functions, industries, and so forth cause noise pollution in urban areas.
Air Pollution: the air of urban areas gets polluted due to a lot of
anthropogenic activities, flying of a large number of automobiles, and
industries.
 Overuse of Natural Resources: Due to high population density and
expensive lifestyle, the rate of consumption of natural resources.
Development of Slums : the slum settlement arises due to the un-flux of
rural peoples into urban areas and a shortage of housing facilities for
them.

6. Social consequences
Traffic congestion: increasing number of people staying in urban areas
also increase the number of cars then lead to traffic congestion.
Crime: overcrowding in urban city contribute to crime.
Diseases: poor sanitation and pollutions lead to different diseases
such as asthma.
 unemployment: when the number of people who are living in cities
increase the job opportunities become scarce.
Poverty: due lack of job opportunities people end up not having
money to buy food and poverty strikes.
