- 2. Antonio J. Molina Antonio Jesús Naguiat Molina was a Filipino composer, conductor and music administrator. He was named a National Artist of the Philippines for his services to music. He was also known as the Claude Debussy of the Philippines due to his use of impressionist themes in music.

- 4. Antonio J. Molina Contribution Molina, known as the “dean of Filipino Composers “. He wrote over 500 musical compositions, including “Hatinggabi” and “Awit ni Maria Clara”, and taught some of the country’s musical icons like Lucresia Kasilag and Felipe de Leon. Composition Hatinggabi Molina’s composition is over 500. But his most famous composition is “Hatinggabi”, a serenade for solo violin and piano accompaniment.
- 5. Hilarion Rubio A Filipino composer and writer on music. At an early age he learnt to play the violin, the piano and the clarinet under an Aglipayan priest. He took preparatory law courses at the Far Eastern Institute (Associate in Arts 1927) and then entered the University of the Philippines Conservatory, where he received a teacher’s diploma in theory and composition in 1933. Later he taught at the university and was assistant secretary of its conservatory (1939–41).

- 10. Col. Antonino Ramirez Contribution Colonel Buenaventura is also a distinguished composer and educator. He composed the Symphony of C that won him the Cultural Heritage Award in 1966. He was a pioneer in the research on Philippine Ethnic and Folk Music. He founded several schools and became Director of the UST Conservatory of Music. Composition Some of the outstanding work that he wrote after undertaking field research are the following Minuet (1937), which borrowed largely from Igorot tunes for its thematic thrust, the popular Pandanggo sa Ilaw (1936), “Echoes from the Philippines,” Varations and Fugere, Greetings and many others.
