The document discusses the various stages of creating a music video and ancillary texts. 2. In the creating of my music video and ancillary texts, I
went through different stages in order to create the
best media products I could, this was done by using a
handful of different media technologies in the variation
of stages e.g. research/planning/construction and
evaluation.

3. Throughout the time spent creating my music video/digipak
and advert I have used blogger, an online blogging service
which has enabled me to post my ideas and research, allowing
me to progress any ideas for my music video or anicillary
texts. It has allowed me to share my progess and post ideas in
more creative way. There is also a app available for blogger,
meaning I was able to post on the go or trace previous ideas I
had posted while shooting. Blogger has been extremely
helpful in all stages of this media project from planning to
evaluation!

4. Facebook, was how I first got into contact with my
artist whilst searching through people I may be able to
use I came across Chris got his phone number and was
able to go from there.
Also when Chris' reliablity was questionned and I
decided to use someone to mime over the lyrics, I
found Andrew on facebook and asked him on there
before again getting his mobile number and contacting
him further through text. Facebook was mainly helpful
during the research and planning stages, finding the
artist/planning where to meet etc.

5. YouTube, was extremely helpful in the researching stages
of my music video project, I was able to research into
other music videos of a similar genre in order to plan
some ideas based around the research I got from
YouTube.

6. I used photoshop in the creating of my digipak
and advert for my music video project. I had not
used photoshop before because it was all new to
me however with a tutorial in class and a YouTube
tutorial I was able to carry on with the planning
of ideas for my digipak/advert and the creating of
them.

7. Final cut express, was extremely useful in the creating
of my music video, as that is what I created it on. After
using it in AS Level I was comfortable with it, however I
did learn new skills, putting the vocals on to match the
pace of the artist.. the miming aspect of it.

8. I used google throughout all stages of this media project.
• Planning stages - finding convention, similar artists, fonts for my advert/digipak.
• Research - similar artist, target audiences.
• Evaluation - finding prezi, a creative way to answer a evaluation question.

9. Soundcloud, has been extremely helpful in the planning and
research stages of this project. When researching an artist I
used soundcloud to listen to their songs to get some ideas
together and slowly start planning on top of that. It also
helped for the other songs included on the album, I was able
to look at my artists other songs and use them. Also for the
downloading and using of the song on the music video.. I got
the download from Soundcloud. As Soundcloud have an app
I was also able to listen to the song when out shooting or
meeting with my artist etc.

10. Filming equipment such as
SD Card/Tripod/Camera etc
was extremely useful in the
construction stages and
also in the planning stages
