The student created several power point presentations and conducted online research to plan a music video for a class project. This included power points comparing pop and R&B genres, presenting costume ideas, and proposing possible shooting locations. The student also created a questionnaire to determine audience preferences, posted mood boards on blogger, and used Voki and Scribd to share additional planning materials. Through these efforts, the student thoroughly researched the project topic and genre to develop an appropriate concept and plan for the music video.

2. Research
When I first started my research for my music video I made a power point of the
differences between Pop and R&B. This helped me a lot because I knew the
differences and could ensure my video was definitely pop. I did quite a lot of power
points for research into the genre and all of them power points helped me a lot with
creating my video.

3. I also created a questionnaire on my
genre which asked audiences what
they would expect to see in a pop
video. This helped me when planning
my video because I found out what
the audience would want to see and I
could create that for them.
I uploaded all of my research
and planning to blogger.
I researched all the music
videos on YouTube.

4. I also made mood boards and posted
them as pictures. This helped with the
final video because I researched into
costume and found what our chosen
group, Little Mix, wore in their video.
For my target audience I made a Voki.
This made it clear what people who
like pop music do and what kind of
clothes they wore so I could
incorporate it in my video.

5. Planning
When we had completed our research
and could begin planning our video I
created a character profile. This was
done by looking at little mix and we all
decided we would be like one of the
members of the band. I chose to be like
Jade because she dresses similarly to me
so I could wear similar costume to her in
the video.
I then created another post
which contained photos that I
took of my clothes that are
similar to Jades.

6. I also used scribd to upload photos I had scanned in of a story board we made
for our narrative. This helped because we always had the plans on our blog
making it easy to access.

7. We also created a facebook page for a
group so we could upload small clips of
our video and photos of us and people
can comment with their ideas. We could
also keep people informed of our
production and how it was going.

8. I also created a power point of
our location shoot. These were
all possible locations we could
have used for our video. Doing a
location shoot helped because
we knew what locations looked
good on camera.
Overall I think I was successful in using different technologies to present my research
and planning on my blog. There were lots of different websites that were helpful in
putting my work together.
