The word tense come from Latin word “ Tempus” mean time
Definition of tense : is the form in which a verb is used to express when an
action is , was or will happen
Past present future

• Present simple
• Present continuous
• Present perfect
• Present perfect continuous
4. Present simple : to talk about an action which happen on regular basis

• To show a fact or something that is always true
Eva lives in Canada
• For activities that we do daily -regularly or habitually

• To express thoughts, feelings, opinions and beliefs

7. Present continuous
Present continuous : express action that are happening now or that are in prograss

8. Present perfect
Action that began in the past and counties to the present and action have recently
stropped

9. Present perfect continuous
Subject + has/had + been + present participle (and “-ing” to end of the
verb)
