The preschool of San Daniele del Friuli was established in 1910 and has withstood damage during World Wars. It was originally located in via Sottomonte but moved in 1976 after an earthquake. After temporary facilities, a new building was completed in 1988-1989 in via Monte Canin. It now hosts five classes for children aged 2.5-6 years old with two teachers and three assistants per class. The school has classrooms, a lounge, cafeteria, fitness area, garden, and provides a daily routine including activities, play, meals and rest. It offers educational trips and projects teaching subjects like the Friulian language, English, yoga, and gardening.

3. Our Story…
Our Institute borned in 1910 as a Kindergarten.
Nowadays it continues to be a reference point for San Daniele’s
citizens.
During the First and the Second World War the school was
dramatically damaged, but punctually restored and opened again.
The original location was in via Sottomonte, and so remained until
1976, year of the Earthquake.
That time there were 4 classes, two on the ground floor and two on
the first one.
After the Earthquake the building wasn’t accessible anymore, so
the School was moved to a near prefabricated structure built on
purpose.
The original building was restructured and then two Classes
entered there.
Three other Classes stayed in the prefabricated building until 1988-
1989, when the new school was completed and all the five Classes
finally moved to the actual building in via Monte Canin, 49.

4. Our kindergarten is one of the five public kindergartens which
relate to the Comprehensive Institute of San Daniele del Friuli.
The school is really big and welcoming
and hosts five classes of children from
two and a half to five/six year old.
Some of the classes are homogeneous
for age, other heterogeneous.
There are two teachers and three school collaborators for
each class. The collaborators clean the rooms and give short
assistance to the children (depending on necessity), helping the
teachers.
