2. Medical Administration
 We have to make a COVID-19 patient treatment
committee (Team of doctors, Infection control and
quality department personnel) which will be
responsible for treating the patient as well as
shifting patients to areas other than isolation areas,
however, shifting the patient will only be done after
the approval of all committee members.

 To make a COVID 19 patient OT in which all the
suspected or positive cases will be performed
 Cath Lab
 Weekly roster will be prepared, for doctors, nurses,
housekeeping staff, which should be strictly
followed
 Suspected patients should be treated as positive
COVID 19 patients, until and unless reports
clarifies status.

4. Medical Administration
 In the OPD, if the patient is suspected of covid 19,
consultants will put the notes of quarantine of 14
days despite the Covid testing.

5. Maintenance, Housekeeping, Security
Department
 Screening of the suspected patient, to make a COV -
OPD near the reception.
 Bifurcation is required in COV-OPD
 One patient, One attendant, maximum 2 persons will
be allowed, only in exceptional cases like child, mother
and infant etc
 For Emergency and Isolation area bio waste will be in
two layers with the labeling of Isolation BMW.
 Air change protocol to be followed in the emergency
and isolation area and if not then 3-4 exhausts to be
made available.
 UV lights should be installed in the AHU.

6. Maintenance, Housekeeping, Security
Department
 A register of In and Out entries of patient /
attendant should be maintained by security staff.
 Visiting in ER, Isolation area will be purely
restricted, for sample collection of suspected OPD
patients, we should designate another area.
 Patient should be covered by transparent plastic
sheets while transferring the patient.
 After the patient is shifted, The area will be
disinfected by disinfectant.

7. Infection Control Department
 Hand Hygiene compliance is must, it’s the best way
to stop spreading infection.
 Use of single gloves in different patient is not
allowed.
 Department In charges should ensure the Hand
hygiene compliance is 100 %.

8. Quality Department
 A code (code copper - for transferring the patient)
will be announced while transferring the suspected
or confirmed COVID- 19 patient from ER to
Isolation area, Isolation area to OT, OT to isolation
area etc. (For example - Code Copper - from
Emergency to Isolation, after the patient is shifted
the code white will be announced)
