Introduction
Pragjyotisha was a Kingdom of Mohirango (Danava-Dynasty)
and Narakasura(Bhaumasura-Dynasty).
After the death of danava, asura, kirata, Bhagadatta became
King of Pragjyotisha. After Bhagadatta, Vajradatta became ruler.
Pragjyotiṣa was an invincible fortress of the Danavas, asuras and
kiratas. After them Kachari, Sadiya, Pala, Ahom, Chutiya, Khatriya, Sudra,
Mohamedan, Salastambha (Boro, Koch, Mech), Kheng-Bhutia, Khen, Koch

during 1400–1500 A.D.
Bhutanese dynasty is very nearby to Kamata. The
Pragjyotisha hindu rular Bhaskar Barma, Koch rular,
Kachari rular and Bhotia Telfu tribes ruled Bhutan
before 900 AD. After that Tibetan tribes captured Bhutan
and the Tibetian lama established Buddhism in Bhutan.

This period reached a high point under the third Malla
dynasty of Jayasthiti Malla (1382-1395) who united the
valley and codified its laws, including the caste system.
After the death of Jayasthiti Malla, his son
Jayajyotir Malla ruled from 1408 to 1428. After that
his son, Yaksha malla reigned Nepal during 1428-1482.

KINGDOM : Twipra or Tripura
Capital : Udaipur (formerly Rangamati),Agartala
Dynasty : The Manikya dynasty was the 1st recognized ruling house of the Twipra Kingdom.
According to Mahabharata, ancient name of Tripura was Kirat Desh. It was a Kingdom of
Samrasur and the capital was Rangamati.
King : The first king who ruled the state under the royal title of Manikya was
Maharaja Mahamanikya, who ascended the throne in 1400. Udaipur is the
oldest capital of Tripura. A total of 59 Kings ruled from Rangamati or Udaipur. The last ruler
of the Princely State of Tripura was Kirit Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur Deb Barma (1947
-1949 ).

Capital : Jongal Balahu Garh (Naogan)
(Presently Govt. Fish-Farm at Naogan)
The great Tiwa King Jongal Balahu (son of
Arimatta) founded another kingdom at Jongal
Balahu Garh and his Kingdom was Raha Baropujiya
(Naogan).
A famous historical monument situated near Raha in Nagaon district of Assam. Later
Jongal Balahu was defeated in a battle by the Kacharis (Mongoloid-Boro tribe) and
drowned himself in the "Kolong"river.

Dynasty : Khen
Indra Narayana (1350-1365 AD) was captured Darrang
from Boro-Bhuyan rular Sikandar Shah. After him
Arimatta (1365-1385) was captured Darrang.

Dynasty : Bramin
King Bhimbal was the son of kamadeva and he could not rule properly due to
insurgencies amongst the hill rulers of the region. Jaintia was defeated in a battle and
Bhimbal was either murdered or fled his kingdom out of disgrace.
After him, his minister, Kedareswar Rai, took over and began the
Bramin ruling dynasty of Jaintia. During 1400 AD King Bara
Gossain was the ruler of Jayantia.

Dynasty : Kachari
It appears that Chinese Ming Dynasty had political contacts with the Dimasa, Ahom
and Tripura kingdoms between 1406 and 1439. Before them King Mahamanipha was
the king of Dimapur in 1400 AD.
According to some historian, Kacharis belonged to the Dimasa Bodo
Kachari group and called themselves descendents of Ghatotkacha
(2nd son of Pandu namely Prince Bhima). They ruled from their
capital at Hidimbapur (Dimapur).

Capital : Swarnagiri (present Assam)
Dynasty : Chutiya
It was established after Pala dynasty. Bir Pal alies
Gaya Pal established Chutiya kingdom at Swarnagiri of
east Kamrup. The Chutiya kingdom was one among several
rudimentary states (Ahom, Dimasa, Jaintia and Koch)
which was emerged from tribal formations in the region
between the 13th and the 16th century after the fall of
the Kamarupa Kingdom. After Bir pal (1189-1221 AD),
Parbotpati Gouri Narayan alies Ratnadhayaj (1224-1259
AD) was the king. In 1401 AD onwards, Lakshmi Narayana
(son of Satya Narayana), Dhir Narayan (1502-1523 AD),
Niti Pal (1523-1572 AD) was the king. After him Ahom
king captured Sadia.

Dynasty : Ahom
Sudangphaa (1397–1407) was the Ahom king during 1400 AD. He was
popularly known as BAMUNI KONWAR (Brahmin Prince) because of
his upbringing in a Brahmin’s house. His reign marks the first
stage in the growth of Hinduism in the Ahom Dynasty.

KINGDOM : GOUR Bengal
Dynasty : Indo-Turkic Shah Miri
Sikandar Shah (1358-1390),Sultan of Bengal ascended the
throne in 1358 and ruled Bengal upto 1390 AD. He constructed
magnificent buildings and mosques, of which the famous ADINA
MOSQUE at Pandua is the most imposing.
Ghiyasuddin Azam Shah ruled Bengal during 1389-1410 AD. during
the initial period of his reign, Ghiyasuddin Azam Shah led an
expedition against kamarupa-Kamata. He conquered it and kept it
under his control for some years. Assam Buranjis have on record
that he invaded the territory of the Bhuyan Raja of Kamta, which
was inconsequential.
